Yeah, a shame the scene lets you start it one way but forces you to end it this way. I've not played the game, and don't know the lore behind what a pure blood Sith is, but it'd be a really interesting story to see told fully. Following someone raised in Sith ideals and philosophy, who instead goes on to not only be a paragon of the light, but school and positively influence the Jedi order on how to better follow it, despite facing persecution.

Pureblood Sith are an alien species that are, ironically hybrids of the original alien sith species which were naturally gifted in the dark side and human Jedi who fell to the dark side.

I think they didn't bother going down that road because true light side sith are too often rejected and killed by the Sith order. A proper light side sith is one who actually cares for the empire and seeks to do what's right for it, but will absolutely get his hands dirty to make it happen if that's what it takes. A true light side sith is largely based in Machiavellian philosophy of good and evil not being black and white, but rather dependent on the outcome. Consider, for example Darth Marr, he is absolutely a dedicated sith, but always seeks what's best for the empire above his own selfishness, unlike most sith.

Well earlier in the game you are exposed to the teachings of an old sith. These teachings is that the sith don’t need to be evil. Sith only really need to embrace passion and their inner emotions. Whereas jedi endorse the lack of emotions and passion, and more of a logic based teachings. I wish there was a way to play as not an evil sith, but a passionate one. As well if there was a special way to endorse these teachings to others. Honestly is the sith lived more like that, they would have a balanced society, but they let their passions overrun them and we get the empire. That’s why I love ambiguous force users, and I think the term is grey jedi, they are basically normal people who would not conform to any normality of either teachings.

The dark side is it's own drug, some just have more decorum than others to not give into impulse. There's a reason a grey Jedi doesn't exist, because it's against the dichotomy of the Force. The ones that do are either exiled, by others or themselves, so as to avoid entanglements in the rest of the universe, or they eventually see themselves fully embrace the dark side. The universe simply won't allow it, at least not for very long.

If you determine the will of the force to be the greater good than Jedi are good guys and sith are bad. If you don't than honestly both sides taken to extremes suck and true good would be somewhere in the middle. I just think that both the Jedi Order and Sith are fools and their very own ideals set them up for failure.
The Jedi force unrealistic ideals for the amount of people they have. The failures of their code are numerous with many members falling to the Dark Side, and a number of Sith coming from the ranks of the Jedi Order, starting costly wars that the Republic has to deal with. The final great insult is one of their own, Anakin Skywalker, helping destroy the Order.
Who is honestly surprised whenever there's mention of a fallen Jedi these days? It's almost expected.
The Sith are fools for making a system that ensures an unending series of betrayal and self destruction within their ranks. The Galactic Republic is the premier power, it's hard to take out the Republic when you're fighting yourself at every other turn, or members within your own faction are sabotaging the Sith Empire's own efforts for their stupid, petty games. SWTOR is full of this within the Sith storylines. You even encounter regular Imperial forces that are just tired of the games they're caught in between. So it's no surprise at all that the Galactic Republic destroys the Sith Empire and forces the survivors into hiding, facing near extinction.

I like LS Sith Warrior. I mean, "darkside" choice is often just being jerk or cause meaningless bloodshed that doesn't benefit the Warrior himself much.
I like to imagine DS is much more impactful and meaningful thing and Sith are calculated and smart.

I agree. and with SW dark side choice actually make you play as a braindead waagh berserk who should NOT have survived up to this point. Because of how much evidence of his actions he leaves and how unsubtle he is. He would get executed by any high ranking sith....

thats mostly because while the sith and jedi code actually come across as ideals to be followed, dark and light side are presented as moral extreems; and we tend to think of the ultimate evil as someone who selfishly and indecriminately throws away lives because 'lol that was badass'; and not the long game of slowly gaslighting and emotionally starving small children so that one day they fanatically follow your every word - I mean...

What is evil, offering to walk away? He is hunting a Padawan not for a defined reason. As far as they are concerned were they told, that he is there to fight but then he offers to walk away. That's not very evil. Full Light side Sith doesn't even screw with Willsaam leavers her a Jedi even. Not very evil.

Turning a rash fool to the dark side is so much more twisted than just simply killing them and is proper for a Sith, even if you don't get those delicious dark side points. Really wouldn't this just eventually net you more in the long run?

Wait isn’t there no such thing as a light side?
The existence of a light side completely invalidates the whole “bring balance to the force by eliminating the sith”. Because if there’s two sides of the force then they must be equal to be balanced, based purely on the logic of what “balance” means.

Off topic and probably not appropriate, but...does anyone else find the models of the two human characters strange? The textures look plastic and extremely pink on the cheeks and nose. As though under heavy make-up (0:55). And the proportions of facial features (chin especially) and chest muscles looks very off (1:37). Is that a stylistic choice or is something weird going on there?
