  • Hey guys,
In this video I replace the driver side axle on my 1993 manual Lexus es300! This is the same parts and process for the Toyota Camry and Avalon as well for 1992-1996. Also, all 3 cars share the same axles on both driver and passenger side for both automatic and manual transmission options. As long as the cars are between 92-96. I show you guys how easy it is to replace the axles. This is something you definitely can do at home if you’re up for it with some pretty basic tools. Save your money and do it yourself. Hope this video helps anyone in need!

I did this job a while back and wanted to watch this for a refresher. I remember just removing the two big bolts for the strut and it seemed easier then removing the a arm.

    On these model Camrys
, you do not have to take the lower ball joint and separate it from the a frame arm. All you have to do is take the two bolts out that hold the strut and everything will swing out of the way that way I just did it three days ago worked beautiful but good job anyway keep up the good work

That will ruin your alignment, the strut bolts have adjustment

What the name of the part that it bolts onto? With the 6 bolts. Ours is all banged up. Wondering if taking it off will be simple or not

That’s part of the axle bolting into the transmission/differential.

Nope I used the stock bolts on my axle. Maybe you have the incorrect axle.

Is it the passenger or driver side wheel that drives?

Why doesn't it have a shaft that mates into the diff?

Because these are an early bolt on style axle. And the fwd trans/diffs are all different. Just how Toyota did these I guess.
