I had read about using 15W-40 diesel truck oil in these bikes but was unsure about doing it. Glad to see that this is what you guys recommend, too! Keep up the great content!
I did two cb125k recently (the smaller version of the cb175), they sure are tricky. Double and triple check valve gapping, timing chain tension, and most important: ignition timing (better go for a bit advanced). Next thing is carb synchronization: first do it at idle speed, and adjust the idle speed screws to get good idle AND equal vacuum. Then very, very slightly twist the throttle while reading the gauges: first carb to loose vacuum has LESS slack in the cable. Give it a bit more slack with the adjuster screw under the rubber boot on the top cap of the carb. This will not affect the idle synchronization, but keep an eye on it anyway. Then fiddle with the slack screws until the carbs open equally (pressure stays the same). You should have sync ports on the aluminium carb ‚boots‘, the ports have regular M5x0.8 threads and are plugged with a crossheaded JIS screw. Some years had the ports, some didnt.. I did mine with a vacuum gauge built from corona bottles and silicone tube (look it up on youtube), worked like a charme…
I agree a “jetting with pods to get dull rpm range” video would be cool. I gave up and bought some gently used air cleaners off eBay instead of the pods.
Hey! Do y'all sell parts for the CB125S? I'm a newbie and want to get my bike running and in good shape again, but I'm not sure where to start. Your videos are so helpful

I would love a carb-focused video for the 175, I'm having tuning issues on mine and cannot for the life of me get this thing running right.

Wrong measurement for CB 200! Just did mine took 1.2 L!! Careful now, worse to overfill than underfill.
How much oil for a CB125s
any chance you do this for 750?
