You guys know that both of those headsets can Bluetooth into your phone, right? 12:33 "pull carb heat, just a little bit..." NO!! Carb heat is all or nothing. The ram air from the intake will always overpower any air that is passively pulled through the exhaust shroud. All you're doing is creating a path (through the exhaust shroud) for the ram air to escape.
Your clearance was to fly the ODP (which from Runway 11 is a left turn to intercept basically V220 going to GLL), but then he added "fly heading 040 upon entering controlled airspace." So, you'd hit controlled airspace pretty quickly, since controlled airspace is only 700' AGL in that area. Fortunately a heading of 040 is approximately what the ODP calls for anyways, but what is the technically correct answer here? At 700' AGL do you just quite flying the ODP and immediately turn to a heading of 040?
I actually forget now. It's been awhile since I watched the video. Most likely just some things you guys were doing with the engine running that could have been done without burning cash haha.

Totally get that! I always encourage pilots not to train at the towered airports in the area just for that reason.
