They stopped their bus production first they stopped making bus body building then after 2020 they completely stopped bus production even MG group developed a luxury sleeper bus body on their bus chassis with their collaboration with Scania but unfortunately the rendering video has happened but the bus didn't came . Their Scania buses are awesome in comfort and driving but their maintenance and spare parts troubles.
@vishnusatheesh8885 Yes since more & more expressways are opening, there would be huge demand of luxury buses in India. Volvo has strong monopoly here. Scania should come back to India. Also brands like Tata, Mahindra, Man & Bharatbenz etc should enter this segment.

Even i asked them they told me that the parts are expensive and not available at time and the bus having some much of mechanical complaints so they scrapped the bus . Out of 14 buses they 4 scrapped ,4 surrender to Financer's, 2 Scania's now running , 2 of them are now refurbished and converted to sleeper and 2 of them are abonded and the condition of the two buses are very poor.

Just non sense and waste of taxpayers money.

Half knowledge like this is dangerous. Many wrong informations. L&T was only distributor of mining, off highway trucks. Not busses at all. L&T and Scania parted away from mining truck business in 2022- 23 only. Scania continues mining truck business with other partner.
SCANIA has the worst overhead luggage carriers - totally not designed for Indian roads. KSRTC still has these buses on the road and in comparison with Volvo these SCANIA buses are really bad
@@lobo._.pradeep yes and no ,to be honest these buses operate on Bangalore,hyderbad ,kochi and such metro cities where demand is surplus and to be Frank you won't find much difference in comfort if you travel once in a while ,if you are a regular traveller you will feel a bit of difference, comfort wise scania is not that bad plus you mileage is good so companies save a lot of money

Mercedes engines are too loud, compared to volvo’s maintenance is high.
Personally I love Scania as compared to Volvo.... in terms of comfort.
