Everyone needs a Willis! And a Catherine! And Janie is so charming! I TOTALLY want to join the two of you for coffee in the courtyard. Fabulous design and the video was terribly engaging. Great job Catherine and Nate!
This came out so awesome. I have a wonky side door and side yard that I am struggling with. Unfortunately I am not in Mobile, AL, but this has motivated me to find someone that can help me with mine as well!
Yes we did have it painted! The best advice I can give you is to check with your local paint store (not big box store) to find out which paint is best for you but this was an oil based exterior paint I believe.
As she's saying or agreeing to how much she loves it, her head is moving left to right indicating negative. Nodding one's head up&down means yes. Moving head side to side indicates no or negative. Actors and politicians do this. Confirmed by behavorial experts.
Not seeing much of a difference, shame the budget didn't extend to changing the concrete floor I suppose it's pretty expensive. Bonded aggregate would go over that base perfectly and soften the harshness of the concrete and brick. Some climbers planted to grow up the walls would have softened the starkness of the white walls.
The host is so humble and personable. Very refreshing.
Thank you for watching.

Thank you so much! We might have to do a coffee and courtyard open house at Janies!
I might have put a rug under the patio table. Love the space, understated and elegant.
If its a covered area I love outdoor rugs but not when it's open air. We get so much rain here they ruin fast. Thsnks for watching!

As long as you like the green urns, that’s all that matters.
Hello. Did you paint the concrete floor? I hope that’s what you said! I didn’t know you could do that! What kind of pain do you use?

It's been years since this was done and she's kept it exactly the same as the day we did it. Have a great day!
