Love your ideas but their must be a way to keep those trees alive! Can’t somebody just make an announcement! Maybe somebody else loves to shade his place with those trees! That may go with other plants too✌🏻

You destroyed/killed the bushes? It's very sad...
I’m not sure if they ended up killing the bushes, but they might’ve been able to be transplanted with that amount of roots, being cut back hard like that, and watering consistently and deeply after transplanting.
I live in a hot desert climate and I can't imagine killing all of those beautiful plants...😭
