I'm 25 and live in a major city that requires my dumb ass to do crazy commutes in the morning and I NEVER thought to take that into account when interviewing, thanks for the tip Austin!
I still remember that when families live a certain distance from the school, the school district pays for public transport for the children. And I've seen enough jobs that include either fuel money, or part payment for a monthly public transport ticket. Those two areas qre unlocked by following the "Blood on the Ice" questline that was initiated with the body in the graveyard and questioning them. Known as the most broken quest in Skyrim. I've found following the walkthrough on UESP Wiki allows it to never fail.
You missed quite a few (or you just didn't show them):/ There's a prison in the keep, an alchemy shop and a temple of Talos inside of the city, East Empire Company headquarters (which has a very fun questline) and an argonian sleeping quarters with more people (that i believe don't come out) at the docks and a stable outside of the city. Also, there should be a writer and a hireable follower in the inn and a nanny with a child outside of Aretino residence (which has another child inside). Lastly, if you move forward a bit with the Blood on the Ice questline, you can pay Calixto for a tour of the House of curiosities, which should mean he is employed.
Yea I cut some stuff out for flow- I think you’re right that I missed the alchemy shop, which is weird. I did get the stable, the prison, the temple, etc.

Can we get a video breaking down which of the cities and holds are the safest? It actually got me interested but I had trouble finding nutritional information on their website, which is my main interest with these drinks.
Appreciate the feedback
I dislike sponsorships in general, but if they have to be done, the way Austin did it is definitely the best.
@@kawadashogo8258And a brand that’s cool with this kind of vibe in their sponsor ad automatically earns a point of respect from me fr
When he said "absolutely, I will take these drinks" he was so real for that

It's been long enough that when you ask the best method for determining the unemployment rate I've actually started saying "a direct survey" out loud, like I'm watching Dora the Explorer or something.
Same, it's part of the fun!
I'm watching this at work rn and I had to hold back saying "Direct survey!" out loud. Smh.

Same here 😂
When you run out of skyrim cities you should review unemployment in Morrowind or Oblivion. Would love to see that!
Was about to comment that too! I would love to see that

So used to hearing sponsorships in such a cookie-cutter way that this was really refreshing, fit into the video well and wasn’t jarring or weird. Great video as always :)
I came home today to find out the Bureau of Labor broke into my house again. I know I haven’t been answering my mail but damn this is the third time this year.
The bit about "potions that help you feel better about your life" at 8:23 really cracked me up for some reason. I almost spat my tea all over my keyboard. Inexplicable, but -- great job!
2:37 To be fair, the guy who is getting complained to about not having tools actually has some lines where he goes to the market in town and begs a shop keeper for more tools, even offering to pay double so his workers and himself (who also works the farm) can have an easier and more productive time
And no, I didn't make this up like my comment on the last Skyrim video, I just saw it myself 2 days ago but had never seen the dialogue at the farm (because why would I go to that farm? only reason I'm there is to swim to the docks)
The farms outside Windhelm are frequent visits for me.
I cant imagine a skyrim playthru where i didnt mass produce all the potions and poisons.
@@Pwnopolis I'm doing a pure mage run right now so that wouldn't help me much, can't poison a fireball and if I get hit I've done something wrong and a potion wouldn't save me (there's no potion of fortify player skill)
@@SomeoneYouDontKnowOfficial but what about a potion that increases your max magicka and health? There aren't any spells for that in Skyrim.
@@HappyBeezerStudios Tl;dr: I don't need to fortify my Magicka or health
I use enchanted gear for fortify Magicka and fortify Magicka Regen and as a mage I just don't get hit, destruction's impact perk stun locks enemies if you're careful and then there's also followers and conjuration to draw aggro away from yourself. If I do get hit I probably won't get one shot so I just pop a close wounds spell really quick before switching back to destruction. With the enchanted gear I have, almost every enemy will stay staggered long enough with fire bolt that I Regen more Magicka than I used so I can spam it until I get low then carefully stun lock them until they die. Fire bolt shoots pretty fast so anything besides other mages are not an issue since you can backup while firing. Some animals like bears are tricky because they're fast and have very short stagger times but you can still shoot fire bolt fast enough to stun lock them. Mages are tricky because wards and/or shock spells so stealth is handy, especially with the illusion perk that makes spells silent, I'll often kill enemies with fire bolt before I'm fully detected. The less enemies the easier it is but the more enemies there are the farther back I'll pull to focus more on summoning and staying out of aggro
16:25 I really appreciate how tuned in you are to the ridiculous practices of 9-5 jobs and provide smart tips on how to navigate that bureaucracy. I also really like your deep thoughts on the art of games. One of my fave youtubers
My favorite part of any press conference is when they ask the reporters to like and subscribe
I do want to say that the Argonians definitely get the short end, they aren't even allowed in the city and live in the argonian assemblage. Which is basically just glorified barracks, and I'm not sure you've been there during this survey.

and who knows, by the time he's done all of Morrowind, redguard, daggerfall and Arena ES6 might actually be out 😂
Man I love your videos so much. This is such a neat idea, exploring these older games and using real world logic to compare them, it’s honestly one of the most fun things I’ve watched in ages. Awesome stuff dude.
Or if the job requires moving around a lot, either hotel costs, or otherwise payment for accommodation.
So yes, absolutely take commute into account.
8:09 From one cleaner to another, I wish I could tell this guy "least important" does not mean "unimportant", he does a damn fine job
glad i didn't skip the sponsor excellent timing from the NPC there

Absolutely phenomenal ad read. the company shoulda paid you more for such high quality.
at the 3:00 mark the argonions aren't allowed in the city so the sleep on the docks they work at. like the door next to the east empire company is where the lizards sleep.
Can you do a check of the mental health in different cities? Im curious about how many has depression, eating disorders or struggle with substance abuse. And how does this reflect in the employment rate
Seriously, thank you so much for your channel and the hours and hours of hardwork you do. Your work gives me such delight and joy
swapping the title to ask us instead of giving us the answer might just be the perfect hook
I hadn't even registered the flip but that is really clever!
I've been commenting about that on multiple videos he's done. My complaint is that when he put the total in the title I had no reason to continue watching because I got my answer. Very happy to see he's changed that approach.
Love your work and can't wait for the comprehensive unemployment rate of Skyrim!
Yea I cut some stuff out for flow- I think you’re right that I missed the alchemy shop, which is weird. I did get the stable, the prison, the temple, etc.
@@any_austin Hmm, the video did feel weird with them cut out.
@@any_austin Just for the record, we all love your videos and enjoy them being as long as they can be, so no need to cut things out for flow. :) Your interactions with Skyrim's populace are very entertaining.
@@any_austin yeah, I figured you probably counted the stables and the docks, but it's a shame you cut it out as i really enjoy your interpretation of the places storytelling, and, as has been already commented, i would love for your videos to be as long as they can been, even though I understand that the editing must be really tedious
Can we get a video breaking down which of the cities and holds are the safest? You could do so based of the ratio of guards to civilians, physical defenses such as walls or by geographical location or of course all of these. You could also note through personal interviews the public's perception of the city and its safe or unsafe rumors.
6:28 Definitely did not expect a shoutout for the Cryptozoology Museum. There are a ton of eccentric-museum-house type places in Maine, not just them. The Cryptozoology Museum is just the coolest one.
I appreciate the angle you came at the ad from. Rather than making unsubstantiated claims about all the magical properties of a supplement, you focused on the fact that it's a fun little routine, regardless of if it actually works or not. Kudos.

For the comprehensive survey of all of Skyrim, I'd also like to see the statistics from the smaller settlements like Ivarstead, Rorikstead, etc. and buildings such as Old Hroldan. I'm not sure if Solstheim is technically part of Skyrim, but regardless I'd love to see its labour statistics as well.
Solstheim is part of Morrowind, but yeah it would be fun to see Austin there too.
It used to be part of Skyrim until the High King gave it to Morrowind because of the eruption of Red Mountain.
