By this point Siouxie Sioux has already 'lost it', and this is 18 years ago (in voice/inflection and timing) be it her chain smoking, and or drink. Continually a half beat behind rythem here, flat, and cant nail higher notes. Best when sports stars and singer/entertainers quit when 'at the top'.
Siouxsie's vocal is terrible, she sounds like she's just smoked a 100 Woodbines. Apart from the bass and drums, this sounds nothing like the original, John McGeouch must be rolling in his grave listening to this offering.
Possibly a beer behind and terribly off key, a half beat behind band and sounds flat, and this is 18 years ago. Best to throw in the towel while still on top. E-gads..
The voice, well throat, works as a muscle, and when you do not take care of it stops of working correctly... I guess she used to drink a lot, and drink during the gigs, so she screwed up her own voice.
One of the greatest intros ever. The opening bass line is orgasmic.
Ouch
@enioperceval: Probably to accomodate Sioux's compromised vocals during that time.
Superbe!
Awesome!
my first thought exactly!
that chord 🤣

Indeed. This longtime fan is left very disappointed with her performance here.

what a bizarre guitar chord! that´s wrong.
That was the genius of John McGeogh, pioneering guitarist of Magazine, The Banshees and others. Rest in peace.
@@litlgrey and this gentleman did a fine job of approximating ALL the Banshee guitarists
@@litlgrey Indeed. But that's not the chord John wrote for the song. It's completely wrong here.
