Start/End Ports are set to 31400-31409 as required by Pi. Translation Start/End Ports are set automatically the same. you are awsome bro. Its all new for me. Your videos helped me a lot. but i am stuck at Port Forwarding. I have TP link archer c60 router. I have followed all the steps but node is still not opening. what could be the reason? Is static IP is necessary for setting port forwarding??
thanks! static ip is not necessary, but helps. When you restart your computer there is a chance your ip address will change. I havent used any TP link routers, but if its provided by your ISP, i would check with them to confirm the settings.
In this case I'm opening the 31400 to 31409 ports for the pi network for both my main Router and my PC (windows firewall). And im using spare laptop (no personal accounts) but connected to same WiFi where our personal laptops and phones are connected. Is my setup safe? From my understanding, all network activity in my spare laptop is contained inside the Docker container so it's like a VM so attacker can only access the docker container not outside of it like files saved in the spare laptop. Correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry for my English. Thank you.
Resolved... Seems at some point my modem switched itself back to router mode without me knowing.... Resetting it to Modem Mode Cleared the Ports Pi Node is up and running:) This video helped A Lot. Thanks I'm having issues with the Ports Not Opening... I have configured the Port Forwarding in my Router (Netgear Nighthawk R7000) But when I run the check in the Pi Node App the Ports are all CLOSED I have restarted both my Router and Pc (Windows 10) several times with no luck. I am running Norton Security Firewall, but no idea if that is the problem as I get no alerts or warning popups as I do when norton blocks an intrusion. My Router is connected to Internet via Cable Modem configured in Modem Mode (Internal Router Disabled) I have no clue where the issue lies or how to fix it. Any Help Appreciated Thanks
There's no monetary value yet, but when you run a node, you're mining at a higher rate. At some point this should equal some kind of dollar amount, and that's if you believe this network will grow into something. Since the network has millions of active users, i think it has a decent chance.

does not allow to proceed.

Also noticed that the node docker image is using different port settings (e.g 31403:1570) and opening incoming tcp on the inbound ports doesn't help either
Not sure what I am doing wrong
Hey Brother, Thank you for Helping with these videos. I have an Arris Modem, and the port forwarding is not allowing me to move to the next step. Could you help me with this issue if you ever get a chance. Thank You
i am not too familar with Arris Modems, do you have static ips set?
How about only connect in wifi
What would we use as the External Host ip?
i would leave that as all or blank
How can i open with mobile hotspot

hey i need you help
in adding nodes in jio link
I haven't used a Jio link before
Nice video, does port forwarding required to run the block chain? Or block chain can be run without port forwarding
i believe its required.
@@CryptoJar thanks for your reply, are you receiving node bonus?
Can I just use a modem or do I have to buy a router. I am using Xfinity modem. Am I even asking the right question? Lol
Thanks atas tutorial nya
node port belum terbuka dengan menggunakan router huawei HG8245H.
apakah bisa dibantu.
saya dari indonesia
hello ,what about Tenda router
you'll need to look up the exact settings for that model
how l do it wich digi?
Hello @cryptojar hope this comment may reach you. Just want to ask Im using windows 10, and a huawei router? does that means I will not be able to use Pi node in my computer? Thanks in advance take care always 🙏🙏🙏
Hello, if your router is able to get a public IP and forwarding to your PC works, then it should be okay.
Can i use my phone's hotspot to mine 👉👈?
It requires a public IP, I haven't tried that so I cannot confirm
Is there a solution please? I also always port only 31401-31403 can opened
ports 31401-31403 are currently the only ones being used, the others maybe used at a later time
@@CryptoJar as minhas também abre apenas 3 portas, mesmo não sendo todas estou contribuindo com apenas 3?
how can i do on ptcl routor
But i dont have ip address in default gateway
Check with your internet provider of you have an external IP
@@CryptoJar thank you
Can we start node by using mobile hotspot
only if you get a public ip
Can you list down tested router brands and modem to be use for pi node. Thank you! Awesome video.
Thanks for the idea! i'll add some stuff to the blog
it tells me the connection is not safe, so it is not smart to log in right?
which site is saying that?
you are awsome bro.
Can you help me I have a Mac?
i dont have a mac, so id be guessing
@@CryptoJar any ideas the port forwarding i completed but it shows closed any idea where i can find some info to why
Is opening port on home network safe?
as long as you know what ports and the pc you are using, its generally okay do it.
Thank you.
Good to see you helping people sort things out, always keep the good work up 👍❤️
Resolved...
Seems at some point my modem switched itself back to router mode without me knowing.... Resetting it to Modem Mode Cleared the Ports
Pi Node is up and running:)
This video helped A Lot. Thanks
I'm having issues with the Ports Not Opening...
I have configured the Port Forwarding in my Router (Netgear Nighthawk R7000) But when I run the check in the Pi Node App the Ports are all CLOSED
I have restarted both my Router and Pc (Windows 10) several times with no luck.
I am running Norton Security Firewall, but no idea if that is the problem as I get no alerts or warning popups as I do when norton blocks an intrusion.
My Router is connected to Internet via Cable Modem configured in Modem Mode (Internal Router Disabled)
I have no clue where the issue lies or how to fix it.
Any Help Appreciated Thanks
What are the benefits/rewards for setting up/running a pi node?
There's no monetary value yet, but when you run a node, you're mining at a higher rate. At some point this should equal some kind of dollar amount, and that's if you believe this network will grow into something. Since the network has millions of active users, i think it has a decent chance.
You do not explain how to open the 3 ports?
Thanks for this video bro I gain general idea about port forwarding however I'm still having a hard time how to properly enable port forwarding on my Skyworth router it seems that it's not working for me even though I tried to follow all the steps, all though our router setting is quite different which I understand, hope you could help me brother.
There show any transition ?
what do you mean by transition?
thanks for the Videos on PI. very helpful. however no matter what I do, the ports still show as closed. ;(
Have you checked your router’s settings?
@@CryptoJar indeed I have, the port forwarding rule is on. and the provider confirmed there is no block on their end.
I also had to port forward on my McAfee Anti Virus to fully open the ports. It’s a bit tricky to figure out, but you will have to play around with the settings.
Yes, thanks for pointing that out. This video is to give a general idea of how to port forward but it really depends on your setup
New sub thanks for the vids. Have you heard anything about Docker causing the Pi Node to get stuck saying "Please wait.... Loading may take up to one minute.
Yes that actually happened to me. I had to reboot my computer and completely kill docker. Then restart everything and make sure the container for Pi is running.
@@CryptoJar Thanks Bro...
