Hey all, the VB output/microphone isn't capturing my voice at all. I can verify that the VB was installed, as it shows up in both playback and recording, but it's not picking up my voice at all.
Make sure to set up VB audio as your primary recording device in Windows sound > Recording. It should work then. Discord introduced an update a while back that won't let you use any other mic other than your default one, due to people streaming music over their microphones, I think.
If I train a voice with the collab where the dataset is composed of 2 person's voices, is it gonna merge them into a single voice, or is it going to be weird?
Idk why but the problem fixed itself after trying it again the next day. Maybe restarting my pc fixed the issue. The only other things I did was changing my default input in sound settings to the VB Cable and starting the program before I start discord. Like, fully start it, with the voice changer on and waiting until it's "warmed up" and running before starting discord. After doing that I started discord and made sure the input and output were correct and listened to the preview and it worked

Excuse me, sir. I wanted to troll my friends on discord using the voice changer. However, they said that my voice sounded chunky and cut off while I sound completely fine listening to my own voice record. Do you have any idea what may cause an issue like this?
On playback devices does Cable Input need to be default or nah? because everytime I use it as default I don't hear anything on my speakers or headphones. And another problem is if I follow the steps discord can't detect anything.

What would cause no sound after training and successfully creating model every time? It's not that it doesn't work at all, as out of the 1000 times I've tried and waited long periods of time with same result 99.999% of the time, only twice has it worked, every other time, even now, as i continue to try and retrain over and over, different names, different epochs, successful in the end but model produces no sound, so i have to go back to the crappy one i was able to make once or twice weeks ago now, as ever since, I've been making them over and over with successful model every time, but no audio when i go to use it and convert audio.. Idk what would be causing this, but it has worked twice out of the thousand times i've done it, and i just don't underdstand what would be causing no audio after making a model successfully, please and thank you for all your time and work!
vb audio cable didnt work for me, do you have any tips? i dont have much more information on what happened. when i restarted my pc, i could see it as a device but the icon was different from yours and it didnt play any audio when i switched to it.
VB cable doesn't work. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, checked for updates and nothing. No input nor output. I did everything the way you did and it doesn't work at all, not even outside discord. Nobody else seems to be having these issues so I'm a bit lost.
Sorry, when it comes to vb audio cable, I'm not sure on many fixes if it doesn't work on your system. You can try to see if just regular audio files work with it to see if it's the voice changer or vb audio cable's fault
I would like to do this but my pc is a literal potato. I have an I3 10100f with a MSI AMD Radeon R7 260X and 8 gb of ram.. Sadly it has a speed of around 11-15 seconds before it replays what I said as the RCV voice. (it sucks.) I found a way to make it a little faster, by turning it to 320 in the chunks, with the lowest extra, then hitting the ECHO on the NOISE setting.
Where do .onnx files come from? The built in voices seem to use that and not the .pth files. For me the ones that I used from the discord I found were all .pth files. The .onnx files sound better in the program and are a lot less choppier.
I hope someone can help with this, but all desktop audio plays through discord, not just the voice changer. So like TH-cam. But also when I screenshare, the game audio is either extremely filtered (no bgm and only voices play) or all the audio plays through my mic on discord. Anyone know a fix? When i use the cable thing it doesn't work(for the input)
Does anyone else know how to connect the voice changer to apps without Virtual Audio?
when I set the sound device to the cable I cant hear any sound and the voice changer wont work so idk what i did wrong
wait please tell me did you train the marine one urself or did you get it from somewhere? i WANT so badddddd
My voice changer stutters allot after the first few seconds or mins... in discord.. I've checked all settings I could.. any idea ? .. I'm running on an rtx 3090 and Amd 5900 cpu, choppyness basically doesn't go away on voice chats
So I have the GoXlLR do you know if I can set it up with that instead of using a software?
Not sure if I've done something incorrect, but when I was doing some tests, on discord for example, my normal voice will come through, then after a second or two, the AI voice will be heard, is there anyway to fix this? I probably have something setup incorrectly
in the program, i can hear myself perfectly, but in the discord and in voice messages in other programs, no one can't hear me clearly at all, the sound comes with stutters. I don't understand why
me to, i think is VB audio cable dont work well
when i set the default playback as the vb cable the audio from my headphones get super choppy and I can barely hear anything. Is it because of my hardware or is it something else?
im having an issue hearing my voice on discord first then the voice changer comes after im basically hearing my voice and then the changer repeat what im saying right after like both audios are not conjoined but separate
How do I open this? I can't find a video of you explaining how to open the voice changer 2:10
You need to wait for the windows terminal to be done loading and the voice changer will pop up immediately
I can't seem any recent videos on this client and mine works nothing like yours. Has everyone moved on to a better one?
whats the monitor feature?
under the input output server spot
My voice in the client app is okay but when in discord, it is accompanied with a really loud static noise. i already turned off echo and noise suppresion etc but the static noise is always there... dunno what to do
same..
im so confused at 2:02 like how did he opened that black screen? pls help!
Thats the windows terminal...
i have question, how do i fix the whisper when i said something in voice changer? it like echo or something and it annoying and loud and it wont stop whispering
it was like:
Hello (hello... hello... *sound break* HeLlO)
I have switched to using the card mode instead of using the cpu but the application always uses the cpu to work, is there any workaround (NVIDIA RTX 3060 card)
ooh this is awesome, but how did you get more models?
Train em or check AIhub discord :D
the cable output is detecting both my mic and the rvc output and I can't figure out how to get it to not do that
Hello, how do i disable the mic test thingy where i hear the voice output? Its very hard to talk hearing everything i say said back to me T_T
whats the usual size for voice packs? im looking for Houshou Marine
I have been trying to find out a way to use S.A.M in discord vc's so i can not just be there and say nothing. So i wanna. Ask if that is possible or not (btw sam is a text to speech software that also was a website verson)
If anyone is reading this, the discord AI Hub, is actually a cesspit of abusers and should be avoided at all costs.
bro what?? could you describe why?
Could you go into more detail?
vb audio cable didnt work for me, do you have any tips? i dont have much more information on what happened. when i restarted my pc, i could see it as a device but the icon was different from yours and it didnt play any audio when i switched to it.
i've try it on discord and it work but when other people speak, the voice changer convert it too, how to prevent it?
yea i have the same problem
Make sure vb audio cable isnt output on discord and you gotta use a headset to prevent feedback
@jarods_journey do you know if there is anyway to update the voice changer or it has updates ,thank you
VB cable doesn't work.
You can try to see if just regular audio files work with it to see if it's the voice changer or vb audio cable's fault
do i need a good microphone, or does a headset good enough?
Mine still sounds chunky even on a vc 😭 I tried going to a lower chunk but it doesn't help l...
I would like to do this but my pc is a literal potato. I have an I3 10100f with a MSI AMD Radeon R7 260X and 8 gb of ram.. Sadly it has a speed of around 11-15 seconds before it replays what I said as the RCV voice. (it sucks.) I found a way to make it a little faster, by turning it to 320 in the chunks, with the lowest extra, then hitting the ECHO on the NOISE setting.
it sounded like you had 5000x voice cracks at the same time
Where do .onnx files come from? The built in voices seem to use that and not the .pth files. For me the ones that I used from the discord I found were all .pth files. The .onnx files sound better in the program and are a lot less choppier.
Export to onyx will make an onyx model of the pth file you are using. It's another runtime that is supposed to be faster than the .pth files.
I hope someone can help with this, but all desktop audio plays through discord, not just the voice changer. So like TH-cam. But also when I screenshare, the game audio is either extremely filtered (no bgm and only voices play) or all the audio plays through my mic on discord. Anyone know a fix? I want to use the voice in a call and screenshare with no compromise to game audio
Make sure your default output on windows is not set to vb audio cable. If it is, it'll share all of your audio as well.
Cable input option doesn't appear in the options for Output in the voicechanger. Only appears in the input" options
