As it is for now, i have very similar fps as yours on my 7900gre, setting the res scaller to 120fps target and looking at resolution scale and also looking at native performance. i guess you should be even better now, couse some time have passed.
Have you ever been in an old house that had clearly been repainted half a dozen times, without scraping off any of the old paint? You know how everything looks okay from a distance, but it still smells moldy and up close everything is warped and lumpy? That's what this is like.
I had dynamic scaling target set to achieve 120fps. I have a 144hz 1440p display. FPS can go higher depending on res scale. I got 193fps@60%, 167fps@65%, 147fps@70% and 127fps@75% res scale. These drivers are really immature though. I expect performance will improve over time as the driver team gets a handle on the new architecture.
This is with console command "give all" and not intended to be non-cheat gameplay. The intent of the video is to demonstrate Q2 ray tracing on 7900 XTX.

The folder that contains the .ogg files is "Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Quake II RTX\baseq2\music". Quick Google search for quake 2 ogg music and you'll find the files to drop in your verison.

в итоге я скачал, сис требования, зад мой сгорел. давайте честно, квейк игра не про графику. есть такое как пикмип и этим все сказано. не хочу говорить что модники с ртикс не туда залезли но плевать)
Yes the RTX part is simply eye candy. The Quake 2 remaster that was released a couple months ago looks great and plays great. If I had to choose only one to play, I'd choose the remaster over RTX.

The guns and maps look so clean. I have Quake 2 on Xbox but not the remastered version
it's like they wrapped the guns in latex, they're so shiny, i can't look away...
Probably another reason why militaries don't make em shiny 😅

Only if enmies models will be better like in Q3 , with RtX this is still good game

Looks terrible. FPS very erratic or stutter, missing gun light effects. Wall, floor and water textures look alright.
the rx7000 xtx can't reach the 144fps? stuck on 120fps only? or you capped the frames? or your monitor is only 120hz?

What do you expect from a pathtraced game on AMD hardware? It is quite good actually compared to last gen.

It can easily reach it with resolution scaling.
@@AMD718 What's the result without dynamic resolution scale? FSR on or off, I don't get any fps diff on my RX 6800.
On RTX 3070 in 1440p there is 60-65 fps without FSR 😅

How did you get the soundtrack to work for this version?
I don't recall doing anything special. I think it just comes with the steam version.
