      Seriously considering buying the plugin, as it's 29 bucks at the moment. That's not a lot for that kind of tone.

    As a long time ML user, I utterly love this! my only complaint would be that they kept their "standard" pedalboard for this one, without inserting a fuzz or a phaser.

    • @jaredt3985
      @jaredt3985 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Luckily if you own any other plug-ins that have those fx you can stack them in your DAW.
      Also for an absolutely killer Orange emulation (among other amps) check out the Line 6 Metallurgy DOOM plugin.
      It’s very very good, with an insane cab section with a full parametric eq.
      There are two fuzz pedals, and a Life Pedal clone, as well as a phaser and two crazy time based fx pedals.

    ML Sound Lab and Oracle really nailed that classic, brutal Orange fuzzy goodness! Those Bare Knuckle Aftermaths work really well with that fat, full midrange that Orange amps are known for. Great job as always Jon!

    Ok so after watching this video i tried the plugin myself.
    I am not a plugin guy i have been waiting for VST'a to get better. But this one NAILED IT.
    As a former owner of a Orange AD30 I was really impressed.
    The reverb and cab sim made me feel like an actual amp was right there close to me (my $300 headphones probably helped)
    No matter what guitar or what settings i used it just sounded good period. Inspiring and very good dynamics (although the compressor is the way to go if you're recording).
    I originally tried the Soldano from NDSP which was also very good, and i plan to buy it as well, but this one has this "dirty" british sound that just feels so warm and loud that it's kinda hard to believe it's a "digital" sound.
    Oh And it's dirt cheap.
    Best $29 i ever spent on guitar gear. Now i can play at full volume in my living room with the kids sleeping !!!
    I'm so happy thank you 🙏

    Definitely loving this one, I love a good Orange sound and this one captures the Rockerverb well. I was worried it would be overly exaggerated in the mids and muddy, but I'm pleasantly surprised with how clear it's able to get while retaining the original amp's character!

    Awesome work, Jon. I just heard about this plugin today, and then bam, you were all over it already. Great job on your demo. I honestly think it doesn't have quite the same juicy punch in the lower mids as an actual RV100 mkiii. But it did seem to capture a lot of the sizzly top end characteristics quite well. That's just my opinion based on this one listen though my headphones... But I'd love to hear a comparison like you did with the Friedman JJ Jr sim.

    Are these plugins getting better and better ? I don't know if it's just me but i feel like every new plugin that comes out is better than the prevous one. The NDSP Soldano was good but now ML strikes back with this and i find it even better.

    • @KahruSuomiPerkele
      @KahruSuomiPerkele ปีที่แล้ว

      So, I'm a user of amp sims since a very long time, I started with line 6 pod amp farm and amplitube 2.
      I stopped using amplitube at version 4, and started using Overloud TH3 then THU.
      Amplitube still has very old sims that were already present in amplitube 2 and even still sound just as bad as they did back then, so I think their process is still somewhat the same ALTHOUGH amplitube 4 changed the cabinet sim section and amplitube 5 seems to have plenty of new features, some long overdue compared to their competitors.
      I used Helix Native as well, but I don't know why, I just don't really like using it...
      Overloud THU, used for a very long time, but finally switched to MLsoundlab Icon plugin, just because it sounds so much better and even react like a real amp, unlike any amp in overloud or amplitube (4 and below).
      I never tried any of the Neural DSP plugins but yes, I also have the feeling that amp sims are getting better and better.
      And I really like these companies that update their old plugins and keep them up to date.
