      Lol……..if you were threatened with expulsion or jail time you would snitch too. It happens all the time. Why would you think you’re any different???!!!! Floyd Landis, the guy who snitched on Lance Armstrong taking steroids, is an example. Everyone came down on Landis while Armstrong got away with it for a longer period of time and collected millions of dollars despite the fact that he cheated. Landis got sick of it. That’s what this film teaches. You might think that this is common sense but, if that’s the case, why do you sound so naive about this type of scenario??????? To be fair, I’m not judging the actions of Charlie Sims, the character in the story. Like Mr. Slade says, “I don’t know whether Charlie’s silence is right or wrong. I’m NOT a judge or jury.” The point I’m making is that, in the end, these guys that preach “The Code of Silence” will end up snitching on you in the end, if snitching benefits them.

    There is no honor among thieves or criminals. In the film, Charlie contemplates losing everything by not telling the truth. He is willing to sacrifice his future education for a group of spoiled prep school pranksters who aren't even his friends. Very naive and foolish! Remember to tell the truth and never lie for the benefit of troublemakers.

    • @XFS540
      @XFS540 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think it’s really considered snitching in Charlie’s position. If he had *voluntarily* went to the headmaster and ratted them out, then yes, maybe at that point. But if the perps weren’t cautious enough to take precautions to hide their identities more effectively, it’s not Charlie’s fault.
