Nice informative video. I couldn't believe you was installing an awning that big by yourself. Impressive!
Thank you. It was challenging.
Thank you. Great demonstration!!
You are welcome!
Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
your link is just for the cover??? where to get the actual retractable mechanism ???
Thank you!
You're welcome!
nice job mr 😎😎😎
Thanks ✌
Everything looks great but you should’ve at least put it lower than the exhaust fan that you have in the back
Thank you for the video. How much space do you need for mounts on the side of your house? 6 inches?
To mount the awning, is the mount in a fixed position and it has to match with the bracket? My patio length is 12 feet and I want to install the 13 feet shade, so 1 foot will stick outside. Please let me know. Thanks.
It will be more beneficial for you to consult a professional on this matter.
You have almost total flexibility where you put the three mounting brackets. But this shade is HEAVY, so make sure you mount it into studs, solid masonry, or a header. Mounting it into drywall or plaster will just rip a big hole in the side of your house.
Thank you for this video! How can I adjust the pitch? Thank you!
That's what I need to know too!
How does this block sun? Looks to small and the sun is shining right on you
It’s not as small as you think and it blocks the sun well.
8:04 Sorry u proved Yourself Wrong!! 😇🥰..
Elaborate please.
U said its not one man job.. But u are doing it alone... 🥰🥰
That’s so true. 😂
Just purchased one. How has it held up for you since installing? Could heavy wind or collected water cause it to break from brackets?
It’s holding fine. I don’t leave it open when I’m not using it so I don’t really know how rain and strong wind would effect it.
@@diyelie Thank you!
Do you have to hit studs with the bolts or can you go anywhere into the side of the house?
I made sure I hit a stud. I don’t think the side of the house can hold it without a stud.
What tools did you use?
I'm having a hard time figuring out where the 2 long plastic spacers that stick out go into
How long did it take you to install?
2 days.
