if you use an iron on the ends it will seal the packages or a lighter and its sealed for the nest time

Jomisha Dailey Stephens there’s definitely a learning curve to them. 😬 The more you use them the better you’ll get. 💗
I have a clear gel overlay on my nails so is the application the same ?
I have these color strips on my nails now
Use a flat iron to reseal then they will stay for longer
If one cleans and does dishes and otherwise behaves like a normal person, how long does the strip last on the nail before they need to be redone?

Tara for the unused part can you use a mini bag sealer to heat seal the bag closed ... would that help them last do you think? As in i am guessing its because they dry the last 5% so dont last as well.
save the ones you can't use for your toes :)
I had a question, so I just got a new set of acrylics this week but I'm also wanting to change up my polish and changing it up with color street so if I'm wanting to change up my look several different times in between getting fills do you know how you can do that do you just layer on top or is there a way that I can remove my current color Street strip so that I'm not ruining my acrylics or anything have you experimented with any of this? Hopefully it makes sense to what I'm asking
Would it be easier to apply the strips before applying the acrylic nail if using store bought nails?
Hmm I’ve never tried it that way, but I have done the glue on nails before and put Color Street on afterwards. I don’t think I’m coordinated enough to put on color street before applying. 😜
Did you buff your acrylics before applying color Street? I'm in need of a backfill but unable to go so I'm putting color street over so just curious on buffing and filing before.
Kat Perry I did not buff before putting them on. Just used the alcohol prep pad. They stick on perfectly!
Tara Stoddard doesn’t it show a bump where the overgrown acrylic meets your actual nail?
Rosa Solano Ooooh I was thinking you meant to get them to stick... You could definitely buff down that bump to make it look more natural!
When you get your acrylic nails done, knowing that you are putting on the Color Street polish strips, do you get anything special done at the salon? Any particular finish that needs to go on the acrylics for the Color Street to stick?
Rachel McKinney I don’t ask for anything special. it’s usually just a clear gel top coat that goes on.
no just be sure your nails are washed or use the alcohol pads and your ready to go
You put theses on acrylic nails? So can you put on Impress or fake clear nails?

How do you remove the Color Street Wraps from acrylic nails without damaging the acrylics? I like to get 4 weeks out of my acrylics but would like to change the polish every 2 weeks.
debbie0773 I’ve just been using regular nail polish remover. Just make sure not to get any underneath on any plastic tips you have. I don’t have any plastic on mine... it’s just my natural nail underneath. I also don’t soak them and I make sure to wash my hands right afterwards. The remover doesn’t seem to affect the gel top coat I have. I get 4-5 weeks out of my acrylics and change every 1-2 weeks depending on my mood. :)

kel kel Good question! No buff needed! They stick to acrylic really well. :)
Do you have clear On the top of your acrylics?

Maria Abonza I don’t see why not. I haven’t personally used dipping powder, but I had no issues with acrylics. As long as I didn’t soak my nails I could even use remover to take off the color street and apply a new color. Try it out and see how it works! I’d love to hear your results.
