Haha I appreciate it Percy! Just trying to record a little more what all the dumb stuff I do and hopefully people enjoy it along with some racing content too. I gotta take notes from real TH-camrs because I know it aint easy
wow 🧐the front lower arm is very neat😍 never seen that before no more ball joint 😎It would be cool to see inverted shocks and hope someone makes aluminum knuckle for these one day😊
bruh! 2 JTCC Civic ferio Inspired racecars would be the ICON representation of You and this channel.. you're out here completing project goals within a year.. i'm not gettin no where with my basic ass eg awd build. 5 years and counting
you can upload whatever you want im watching it regardless, I watch a lot of “big name channels” and this is easily already one of my favorite channels.
The KY and TN hills will ruin MPG. Also, the only reason I decided to hang onto my EG coupe was because there is zero rust to deal with. Every bolt coming out easily. Loving it.
I'm going to call it here I've got a feeling your going to make some changes to this build now you've raced your current car and this new build will end up being your race car upgraded and further improved for 2025 session and your current car will end up being the spare shell over the 2024 session
Your wife's face at 15:07-15:14. Priceless. I know that 'face'! I dealt with a similar one for most of the latter half of the Nineties and early into the new century. A mixture of despair and resignation! Anyway, good luck with all that you are doing, and thanks for taking us along on the ride. Living vicariously anyone??
Well I thought to myself why is Eric taking the trailer if all he wanted to do was cut the roof! You are so lucky in the US. Here is Australia if you can find any Civic 1988-1995 you're lucky, let alone a cheap one for parts. People are buying up cars and dismantling them because parts can be worth several times the actual price of a car!
this exact racecar really inspired me to build my own eg sedan racecar too in the future. The 5th gen civic is really special to me because this influenced me with the jdm community hehe! excited to see what's gonna happen next!
As a mazda fan, I always been wanting someone do a lantis replica build....but, with that said, any era/period correct touring car build is appreciated. I am a huge fan of touring cars, especially if its a car from the time I grew up.
@@EricKutilRacing i guess when you go racing, aftermarket support is a huge decider in what car you gonna race. I know miatas got huge support, but the rest of the mazda brand (piston cars) are not supported....at all.
Gasoline is a blend of several hydrocarbons. The winter mix usually has a higher fraction of butane, which lowers the energy density of the fuel. Also, on the highway your engine is mostly doing work to displace air, not accelerate the mass of the truck and trailer. Together these may explain the observed gas mileage.
Very glad to hear the engine issues weren't the last we'll be seeing of you on the track in this (these) cars! Maybe by the time you finish your 2nd chassis i'll be about halfway thru my first xD
This is sweet! Looking forward to the build vids I'm in a similar position cutting a roof off for my ej1. Careful with the grinder and sparks right next to that gas tank 😬😬
Ok, apart from the channel content, the name and the flag caught my attention in previous videos. A few foreign words in this video hooked me up, and of course your "stupid" decision :p Greetings from CZ
This will be fun! 8mpg is crazy, almost 3 times as much fuel consumption as my motorhome+car on trailer, but the fuel is so much cheaper there so its probably the same cost anyway.. maybe you could rent out the spare car from time to time to help finance your own racing?
I dont really have the infrastructure to support two cars at once at the track but its an option. Making the 2nd car into an endurance car though, that could be fun too
wanna jack easier, place a red line ( anycolor) on the side skirt, and a line on the straight down and a horizontal line to stop at panel across so no more getting down on the ground
Yes this is want the subscribers want to see more of racing the behind the scenes and the journey all on youtube and question….. Dose your car have PPF on it
I love the first sedan build. You mentioned going to 18”s this season and was curious as to why. I’m a complete amateur but I thought it usually came down to running the smallest rim you can on the brakes you need. Are you going up in size to fit bigger brakes or is just the tires you want to run?
So a few reasons. Number one would be the option to run wider tires if I wanted, like a 265. 17s stop at 255. The second main reason is street tires have a pretty soft sidewall compared to racing slicks or DOT hoosiers. It's a good benefit to stretch the tire and since 18s have a shorter sidewall vs the same size in 17, the tire is more responsive. Also, generally, the larger the diameter, the width of the tire is sometimes wider too (like a 17" 255 vs 18" 255). Brake diameter isn't a concern in my situation
Really wish it was easy to get them in the uk. I need some trim parts for kine but near impossible atm. Are your ek hb sideskirts the right length for sedans ?
I wonder if you and hybrid racing can run your own team of drivers in gltc, kind of like asm runs their s2000s lol. I get this is more specialized but it would be cool to see a group of these racing against the c5’s and s2k’s lol
We got Ronnie Vajdak on our team. He's under the DCSPORTS branding and has an DC2 with a JDM front end. His build is more traditional but still crazy fast! But I would love more eg sedans tearing it up ha
@@EricKutilRacing that facelift dc2’s one of my favourites lol, you guys have some awesome builds. Hoping you guys keep racing for as long as possible, and hopefully gltc’s around long enough for me to participate with my glanza v lol
90% similar. Maybe slightly taller front tubs and a slight redesign of the front cage work to the shock towers to allow an oem style master and clutch slave.
It's going to a while until anything exterior wise is even going to be considered. Mostly likely multi colored / primered until it needs to see some action
I watch GLTC and like your hatch setup better. Widebody is fine but I think tubs are cheating unless all cars have it. I hate tubs unless its for time attack. Just how Nascar (all have tubs)has nothing to do with the actual street car anymore only drivetrain 😢
This is how started all of us. With 1 car...... and at the end of the day we have 4....😂😂😂

Hello! Eg forever ha!
Good luck man. Hope you enjoyed the time off
I definitely did! Still moving pretty slowly but it'll pick up here soon
Great update! Totally understand why you didn't want to cut the other one. Good call.
When the trailer is loaded up it probably sits a few inches lower, perhaps better aerodynamics when combined with the truck.
Well I never saw this coming but it makes absolute sense looking forward to seeing how its done

looking forward to it. might already have said it, but the original JTCC cars had a 1.6L engine, not a 2.0L engine. What engine you plan for it?
Spare chassis so identical to the main chassis, k24. I think in the 95 season they switched to reverse head h22, I could be wrong though
😍😍😍
Man, where was that trailing arm when we were loading that thing? Lol
Haha hey man! Dude at least it moved forward! The brake did not want to move rearward at all ha
Can't wait dude! Nice truck by the way! I own a 21 eco lariat Oxford white 🤍
