Toootally agree with your opnions on Salt to the Sea and Between Shades of Gray. SO SO GOOD! Damn. I also didn't know about the event in Salt to the Sea so in the end I was like... what?! ACOMAF is on my 2017 tbr so I'm sure I'll finally read it soon! I hope 2017 brings you more amazing books :)

I went to a author signing with Maggie, and she was talking about how she was traveling in Europe and she heard about Welsh folklore when she was there and I believe that is where she got the inspiration for The Raven Cycle. It truly is a lyrically beautiful series. I enjoyed how different and imaginative the story was, even if her writing style wasn't the easiest for me to get into. I am so excited to read A Madness so Discreet! I was thinking about saving it for the fall of this year because I know it's supposed to be really dark. I also just got Stalking Jack the Ripper recently because I've heard so many good things about it and JACK THE RIPPER? What a cool (albeit sad and twisted) topic to write about! My favorite book of the year was Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo!
I have suggestions for books if you haven't already read them. My favorite series is the Inheritance Cycle. It takes place in a made up land and has dragons and other medieval creatures, but the writer writes this so it is detailed, and I think you would love it. When you mentioned Furthermore in this video, it brought to mind another book I read last year and that you might love. Peter Nimble and the Fantastic Eyes was such a great adventure about this boy who could pick locks and was an extraordinary thief. Again, please check out these books if you have the time and have not read them yet, I believe you will love them.

Great video Grace! ♥ I wish I loved a madness so discreet as much as you do, but for me it was a 3 stars kinda book. I liked it, but I sadly didn't love it.. I really want to read ACOTAR and ACOMAF this year though! I also want to get into the work of Ruta Sepetys :)

My favourite reads of all time was definitely Paullina Simons' The Bronze Horseman series because of the time it's set in (the first two books) and the poetry and romance of it all. Have you read these and could you recommend anything similar?

Did you ever read the wolf series by Maggie stiefvater? I now a lot of people didn't like it. I loved it but I hated the ending. It was pretty open ended too and I just didn't feel like it was over. Maybe that's her thing. Lol. I love a madness so discreet. I read it in 2016 too. It was amazing.
