Hi, Sorry but i dont know what were the symptoms from your TV. I have the same with the problem in the big black part you show and you said is the problem, but I I don't if you said the solution is change the small diode next to it or what...

I checked with a translator, and I saw the problem are de diodes, in my case the big transformer next to the diodes makes a noise, like on click, each 3 o 4 seconds when I connect it to the power, bur the standby led doesn't work at all. I will check de diodes with a multimeter, to see if that is the problem. My question is, if that is the problem I can change the diodes for a standard one, with the same value, but not exactly the same model, I mean the classic diodes?

Rectifier diodes were blown.
The TV was only in standby mode.
