This is the 2nd or 3rd time I watch this video. I am 51, have never owned a motorbike, but intend to get me a new (2020 or 2021) Triumph Bobber Black in matte black in few months after I simultaneously pay off my 2011 911 and 2017 Fiat Abarth. I am absolutely in love with this bike!!!
Sir... If you can hurry a little you might get your hands on bobber tfc.. Its a limited edition only 750 units are available......go for it i would say
That's an absolutely Stunning bike. The best Bobber I've ever laid eyes on. I agree with you about not changing anything. Well... I too would change the exhaust, and I'd get rid of the Drag/Tracker handlebars. I'd replace those with a set of Mini Ape hangers. An excellent review as always, keep up the good work.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan personally, I'd go with the Harley Davidson Street Bob. It seems like best bang for your buck. Because you can up the engine displacement. I'd take it up to Stage 2 with slip on exhaust. Throw on a Tan solo seat and change the rear 150/80/16 to a 150/70/17.
This bike in a heartbeat! Absolutely stunning, and the newer ones now have the 12L tank. I bought the Speedmaster because of the comfort and pillion seats, which I can remove to approximate this Bobber. But I think the Bobber is one of the most beautiful bikes out there.
31 and I’ve Never rode, learnt or owned a motorcycle, but my ambition to get a bike is right up there! for some reason this bike is sole reason to give me the encourage to learnt pass and get a bobber black, and give it some Mellow X edge Great reviews fellas
Go for it. Passed my test in February at the age of 50... Bought a Truimph bobber in khaki green with brown quilted seat and after market exhausts... Its a terrific bike and I had bought it before I had passed my test... I just had a feeling it was for me.. Best of luck with your test. 👍
Professional, exhaustive , interesting review. Congrats! I own a 2017 Bobber (now completely in black) and I covered 30.000 km in two years, sometimes up to 350 km a day. I've customised several parts but the most effective has been to substitute the inadequate rear std shock absorber with the optional adjustable (it comes for 400€ + mounting). It really worth the expense, and my suffering 2 vertebras are now ok. Yes, tank is quite small, otherwise using an average "cruise speed" , autonomy gets up to ab. 200 km (and for emergency I keep a 1.5 lt locked-tank inside my rear bags). I would have liked more a classic separate tachometer. Because of the pandemic, we are now locked at home, dreaming wind on our faces again... Wish the best to everyone
I own the Black Ironstone and i'm totally happy with it. You did a very good job with the review especially with the sound. Its pretty close to real sounding. Lovely done.
In 1969 I got my motor cycle endorsement riding a 1969 Triumph Bonneville before I could drive a car, I couldn't afford a car so I did what I had to do. I love it man out of the park dude.
First mod on my 2021 Bobber was the Fox adjustable rear shock. Major difference. Short mudguards front and rear and too many other mods to describe turned it into a real head turner. I love the Triumph, and both my Harleys too, but ride the Bobber more than not. Thanks O'l Man from the other O'l Man in the States. Great vid.
Thank you so much. This is by far the best review video in the bobber. All the info I needed plus good shots of you riding it and first person shots as well. Great work mate. I’ve now made my decision. Off to the Triumph dealer
Very nice bike. 1 year ago I (63 yrs old) was looking for a bike to replace my ridiculously fast (in every way) modified Yamaha MT-10 for something very much more relaxed. After test riding a Kawasaki Z900rs and Indian Scout my eyes fell on the Triumph Bobber (with the larger front wheel). The Triumph Bobber seemed like a very good choice in my opinion. In fact I had almost decided this would be the one. After testing the riding position on the showroom floor a test ride would have to decide if this was the bike for me. Unfortunately (or luckily) I couldn't get a test ride anywhere. Contacting the Triumph importer did't get me anywhere either. My brother suggested to check out the Harley Davidson Sportster 48. After a test ride, which was very easy to get, HD got me very interested. After test riding several more Harleys (Street Bob, Fat Bob and Fat Boy) I decided for the Fat Boy. Much more expensive than the Triumph Bobber. But with a much more relaxed and better riding position for me. Much better looking too (IMO). Oops a bit long my comment. Keep up the good work.
Love the looks. The seat looks very comfortable. At 73 I need a bike like this that doesn’t have me stopping on my toes like my ST1300s did. Love the sound as is and the pipes look well tucked in. It looks like it could have a great lean angle for a bobber. I would rather see this in a 650 or 500cc bike. It’s always been more fun to thrash a smaller displacement machine than simply overpower the road. A one gallon tank won’t take you far and I do like to ride. Living in Tennessee a simple ride over the Cherohala Skyway is 64 miles of steep climbs and lots of elevation changes. I could easily see how you might not make it without a spare quart stashed somewhere.
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man I am not. Since the Bobber came out I’ve admired the looks and the quality of the bits and build but I will have to move in from motorcycles as I get older.so I think my current 2015 Goldwing may be my last bike. I did also like the Yamaha Bolt 650 cruiser as well. It’s small, inexpensive and Yamaha is almost as famous as Honda for their reliability and easy maintenance.
I'm 6'3" myself and quite skinny at only 180 pounds. so it was very helpful that you filmed yourself going down the streets and roads. You looked great and very comfortable on this bike I would go for the forward controls even though they wouldn't be needed. I just like, and am more used to, forwards. I would rate this bike a bit better looking than the H D 48 because of the floating seat and tire hugging fenders. I will be in the market for a new bike this year and the Triumph Bobber Black is at the top of my list. PS, the "bang for the buck" factor of this bike is unbeatable.
Thanks bro! You’re spot on with your observations. Compared to the 48 it’s certainly way more of a bike. And a lot more potent! Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already!👊🏼
Good job, guys 🤘 It is absolutely a bike to fall in love with. I agree to 98%, that there is no need for bigger modifications on this bike, the designers did a good job. I also like the look and the sound of the stock pipes. The only thing i 'd change are the handelbars. In my opinion, a bobber needs a kind of "wheelbarrow"- handlebars, e.g. a beachbar. And the turn indicators need to be mounted at the bar ends....but that's all. But i've read / heard somewhere, that the comfort of the rear suspension is not very comfy, it hasn't got very much travel (correct me if i should be wrong). So it is not suitable for people with a crushed backbone (like me; 2 surgerys because of disc prolapse). And it looks a little bit strange, if it is ridden by a huge and wide person. My summary: A really cool looking bike, not for the big trip. But for the ride out on sunday, for a ride on good and smooth surfaces
Michi Schalusenbach Brilliant points again Michi. The suspension does bottom out on bigger bumps certainly. It’s a comfortable ride on smooth roads though. Ideal height person probably 5’11-6ft.
I adore my 2018 Bobber Black. Riding any motorcycle is great therapy, but i only need to look at my BB and i feel instantly happy. Actually just thinking about it i get warm fuzzies! When riding it is impossible to have a bad day. Great review.
The first thing I did when I bought my Bobber Black in The Netherlands in 2018 was buying the original Triumph kneepads to make the Bobber tank look more like an old school motorbike tank. It looks fantastic.
Hi Guys, about to sign my life away for a bobber 2021 model with 500 kms on the clock. You were the first you tube info I went for, YOUR usual honest appraisal. Thanks guys Ps I went for the red tank paintwork. In my opinion looks great . Pps I thought the ride was quite harsh but in Jburg that’s the norm with quite a few of our roads . T I A
Disagree with the comments regarding quality. I've had two of these and the second winter having passed the corrosion is incredibly annoying all over the bikes despite protection. Some of us want to be able to ride what I think is an expensive bike for the whole year not just when it's dry. The only other thing I would argue is that I have never ever seen 69 mpg. I get maximum 100 miles to a tank on cruise control going steady. I agree with the majority of the rest of the video. Keep it up.
Ed Costin Thanks for your insight as an owner. It’s a shame about the corrosion. Official mog figures are rarely realistic in the real world. Just shows that my Harley, now 2 years old, doesn’t have a spot of rust.
Love this bike! It's probably going to be a long while before I can afford one but everything I've seen about it turns my head. Just wanted to thank you on the video. It's informative and as a non rider currently it's easy to understand. I also liked how you got shots from the side of the road of you riding it, this might be the first review I've seen where riding isn't all shot 1st person.
I test rode this bike today and loved it! Great sound, nice torque, perfect fueling. At 6’4”, I was worried I wouldn’t fit, but I was very comfortable on it. Ironically, I was more comfortable on the bobber than the Indian Springfield I test road later today. Even though the bobber is a smaller bike, the ergonomics don’t make you feel as folded up. The seat was comfortable on the Bobber, but I felt tailbone pain on the Springfield.. But the bobber suspension is firm and the handling is very impressive, pushing you to go faster thru corners. However, when you hit expansion joints it is very jarring. It’s definitely more on the sporting end of cruisers, but felt more comfortable to me than the SF.
Love this bike. Rode and owned Harleys, Triumphs, and BSA Lightning, but I just feel really drawn to this bike, considering the purpose I need it for. I'm an older man, and this seems just right. Besides being a real beauty. Thanks for the Vid.
I'm not even a bike person and I love this bike. I have a Lotus Seven kit car and am looking in my garage thinking one of these would sit very nicely beside it.
Real nice.. I was extremely impressed with the test drive I took. Had I not had my own custom bobber I’d have bought it. Was looking for something to travel in.
Great review as always, I'm a 47yr old 71kg/173cm guy who ride a Kawasaki Z900Rs right now and planning on ordering this bike in a few days. Just an amazing looking bike to me for those sunny sunday rides. Will keep the Z for hooligan rides, but man do I love the look and sound of it. Just hope comfort is still pretty good for 100km-like rides.
I’m with you, Hans, and feel like I have the best of both worlds! I’m 64 years old, 5’6”, 155 lbs., and have been loving my Z900rs for ergonomic comfort, handling, performance and looks, putting 16k miles in 2 years riding all over San Diego, Calif. Riding her makes me feel like Tom Cruise! I bought a 2017 red bobber in December with 2800 miles and now I get to feel like Marlon Brando! Although a completely different riding experience, I retain the awesome looks (surprising) handling and performance, and for me and my bad back, it absorbs MOST of the bumps pretty damn good. I don’t think I even need to upgrade the suspension for the way I ride. Maybe because it’s new to me, but it’s been soooo much fun to ride around. Compared to Z900rs, sitting lower into the bike, longer gear ratio, lower sounding revs from parallel twin, makes for a more mellow ride, yet the usable torque and hp will get you wear you want to go in a hurry! I also love the little differences like the seating position, my bar end mirrors, the drag bar handlebars, and key ignition on side of engine. Oh, and I can finally flat foot on a bike that, compared to heavier Indians and Harleys, only weighs around 500 pounds (remember, I’m only 5’6”, 155 lbs, and 64 years young!) Some days it’s tough to decide which bike to ride, but hey, that’s a challenge I’m always up for! Stay safe and enjoy your ride(s) 🏍 🏍 ✌️😎
@@scottashdown3686 thx. been a silly year for me. sold the bobber, sold the Z900Rs, bought a Harley, sold that again, bought a BMW r1250r but regretted selling the Harley and rebought my Low Rider S. So currently have a BMW r1250r in the garage and a Harley Low Rider S. Great bikes, but I went a bit in 'panic mode' due to comfort and performance and looking back, I'd better have stayed where I was with the Z900RS and Bobber. Can't go back of course but I'm very much considering swapping the BMW for either a new Z900RS or Speed Twin. The BMW is great, it just doesn't grab me. The Harley is pretty cool though. Not comfy, but cool.
Great review. The Triumph Bobber is what a Bobber SHOULD look like. It put's the other factory Bobbers to shame in looks, ride, handling, comfort and performance and that includes the H.D. Street Bob which here in the U.S. with optional ABS is 3thousand more than the Triumph. Shockingly, I had never seen one of these on the road here in the U.S.. I recently tested one and after riding it, and staring at it from all angles, I like it better than my 2020 Low Rider S. The S with the 114 motor has more power, but the riding position is not near as comfortable and over all, not as much fun to ride as the Bobber Black.
J P Great points JP! It’s certainly one of the best looking bobbers out there! Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already. We’ve got some incredible bikes lined up!
I'm 64 years old, and I bought my Bobber Black 2 years ago. The only thing I added to my Bobber were the 2 original Bobber kneepads because I thought the tank looked a little bald or dull without them.
Nice review. I’ve only been riding 18 months (I’m a late bloomer) and currently ride a Triumph Street Triple, but want to upgrade to a Bobber Black. This review has helped as I’ve been torn between this and the Indian Scout Bobber. I’m South Leicestershire, so I’ll keep an eye out for you on the roads 😀👍
I'd definitely go for the Triumph to be honest. The HD and Indians are nice bikes, but I've never really liked how the V-Twin pipes both come off one side. It feels a bit too asymmetrical. They do sound great though. The Triumph Bobber looks like an actual Bobber style motorcycle, plus it sounds great, and its very symmetrical, it looks like a work of art. It's honestly probably one of the best looking bikes on the market as far as I'm concerned. I go back and forth, but this might be my upgrade bike from my current Interceptor 650 (which I'd keep either way, love that bike).
Can’t believe I hadn’t seen this review before, what a gorgeous bike! Although this review is not bad, you’ve come along way with your production and sound recently! Great stuff and top content all the same
Don't think you mentioned the cruise control ? I love using it especially on hills . You can feel her holding back as you go downhill and then you get the awesome sound as she grunts back up the other side !! I do find the suspension a bit firm on rough roads but the bike is so great that I can forgive it !!
Yes, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber Black is a real beauty and an eye catcher as well. I used to own one of these beauties for one year but I traded it in for a Scrambler 1200 XC which suits my riding style and size more than the Bobber. I am 6,10 feet tall and definitely too tall for the Bobber due to my long legs. The older biker on the video seems to have shorter legs as the angle of my legs has really looking bad compared to how he looks on the bike. So it rather depends on the length of your legs wether the bike will suit you or not instead of the total body size. Other than that it is an awesome bike. We just did not match but I still like it a lot. However I do feel a lot more comfortable on my Scrambler 1200 XC and I am very happy that I found the right Triumph bike which meets my expectations completely.
Hi. Great relaxed review channel I've just come across. Good job👍👍 I believe though it's made in Thailand. Was fortunate to have a Triumph factory tour few weeks ago and only 2 versions of the Tiger, the Speed triple and Daytona 795 motogp2 are made in Britain.
Pike Bobstar Thanks buddy! Yes I gather that it’s not made in GB after all, not that it matters. Please subscribe because we’ve got some incredible bikes lined up!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Yeah....doesn't matter too much where made and still 100% Triumph. Still can't beat building your own Bobber though IMHO. For a factory build though, prefer it over Indian or Harley
Great review. Bought one two summers ago, a 2017 Standard Bobber (same bike save for the front tyre and non-blacked out parts.) I've ridden Harleys, Kawasakis, Hondas - this one eclipses them all and is the closest thing to flawless i've experienced in a bike. I did think the Standard Bobber was the perfect blend of muscle and class, the Bobber Black with everything blacked out and that fat front tyre was "trying too hard" to be cool to me, which is not cool (unless you're American.) But that's my opinion, and if it handles like the Standard (flawlessly) it's splitting hairs. But i'd say check out the same bike in Standard as well. Oh, and it's English. Kudos for that, too.
Fantastic, professional quality review. You boys do a great job selling rural England too. As to the bike: monster torque yet six speed box. Eh? Four more like!
Love the approach to this review. First time I watched you guys. Reminds me of having a chat with my dad. Keep it up and please review some more bikes like the new triumph rocket. I'd say would suit your build more. Took one out for a spin and it's very accomplished
... I have the bobber black... you can toss it around the twisties like a sports bike... a bit low clearance on the pegs... put BC slash turnout pipes on it plus several other personalized bits... replaced saddle with de rosa diamond quilted... you are quite right... it is a head turner...
A really good and honest review. I hope you can review the other two bikes you mention (Indian Scout Bobber & Harley Davidson Street Bob - if not already done so) and make a comparison. That said, I really like this bike as the fit and finish are just superb. Anyway, excellent review and keep up the good work👍😎🤘
“I wouldn’t change anything on this bike apart from the exhaust “ that’s petty much what everyone does with all bikes😀 .love the video though well detailed.
She's a beauty. Rode Triumphs since I was 16 (no, yanks don't all ride rice burners, or, well, that other thing). This is one to buy to have something to give to one of the kids (or grandkids), whichever gets that gleam in their eye ( after I've done a little travelling on it). Triumphs triumph!
Very good video, interesting and complete as always, Congrats! It is a beautiful machine. How about a comparison with a classic bobber like the Harley Softail Slim? British-American I'd love to see it, I don't think anyone has done it before.
Man such a cool looking bike. A bobber is just my kind of bike, cool-looking and no pillion! And WTF? £11650-800 out-the-door? Such an amazing price for the bike. Where I’m from the damn things cost +£15000 and with there being only one dealership in the entire country, no chance of knocking the price down. And you’d probably agree that while it’s a nice bike, it costing the equivalent of £15000 is just too much.
What a beautiful bike! I cannot wait till I can pick up my bobber, hopefully with week. In Germany, the first service is due after 800 km or 4 weeks already whatever happens first. After that initial inspection it is due every 16.000 km or every year. So it is basically a marketing joke, since you need to take it to inspection every year, even if you don't ride 16.000 km. ;)
Thanks for all your reviews, they are excellent, informative and enjoyable. I think this Bobber will be my next bike. I traded in my street triple for a BMW R1200GS 3 months ago on the basis of riding more country side miles now days, but I have just not warmed to my GS even though I have 2,000 miles on it. The GS is an excellent bike, but the real fun is just not there, its also just too big, especially in the cities. So I am going back to Triumph, where this Bobber and the Speedmaster are neck and neck at the moment. The Black option on the Bobber just swinging it at the moment.I will probably buy before they bring out a Black variant of the Speedmaster, but my wife can buy that next year!
Lovely bike, I love everything about it except being water cooled. I think it's and additional layer of service and problem causing source, but that's just me. Surprised Triumph started making water cooled engines. Beautiful bike. Ride safe cheers.
I really love the look of that bike. Only thing I would change is the front rotors to more of a straight spaced out look design to showcase those spoke rims. And the mirrors. I personally hold on the edge of the bar end. Other than than, it’s stunning
Great review. One of my favorite dream bikes, for sure. I just wish it had a little better luggage options. Yes, yes, I know: it's a bobber. Minimalist.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Oh, and greetings from CA. Currently, I've a Yamaha Stryker and Triumph Speed Triple. Would like to trade the Yamaha for a Bobber or T120.
I bought the Indian scout bobber a few years ago but I like the Triumph better. At the time the chain drive turned me away but it's really a non issue. At 74 I'm one of the younger riders you mentioned.
Great review. I do think the bike looks a little on the small side, I assume is because of the stance. I have read comments that say that it rides better than the Thruxton, which has almost the same engine, could you review that one?
VVoltz Interesting comments! It might look small because of my size but it seems big when you are next to it. Yes we are planning on reviewing mist of the Triumph range so keep your notifications on 👍
Arh lovely. Was looking for this review and anything Triumph.. I had a test ride of the standard bobber when it came out, Beautiful bike. Would like to see more Triumphs, like the street RS or the speed triple. Oh, I really hope the young Darcy gets a secret go of these bikes off camera, otherwise this could be considered a cruel and unusual punishment 🤣
Like the engine but the seat and rear styling not for me. At a similar price I'd go for the Harley Street Bob or spend a little more on the Softail Slim. Great review, cheers.
Hey guys, great video. I'm looking for my first bike and its definitely going to be a bobber. My question for you both is, never having ridden before is a 1200cc motor too much engine to begin/learn on? Thanks, stay safe and God bless.
Great question. Assuming you’ve got your license obviously, it depends. The Triumph Bobber is a pretty quick bike and pokey enough to catch you out. The Harley Davidson 48 is much more easy going and very simple to bob. The bigger Harleys like the Street Bob or Fat Bob are more powerful but still more forgiving than the Triumph bobber. Hope that helps 💪🏻
Enjoy your videos, I was wondering though what jacket you're wearing? I'm toying with idea of the style myself, though I've already got a nice Merlin waxed jacket.
I love the look of the Bike! I had a 2012 Triumph Thunderbird Storm paid roughly 15k for it, sold it in 2019 with 4400 miles and it wouldn't bring more the 4k... Triumphs just do not hold their value. I just bought a 2022 Indian Scout Bobber 20 and love it, the resale value of the Triumph is the only reason I didn't consider it.
I did appreciate your deep review, very complete I own the 2017 version, I made it all in black and I've changed the rear absorber with the optional adjustable. I prefer the first version 2017 (better to drive) but actually my single front brake is inadequate. The front brake upgrade (not original spare part) comes for 650€, I don't understand why Triumph doesn't offer it as optional
I considered the Bobber, and then I bought a Street Bob, not much in it regarding price but The Street Bob has more capabilities, pillion for example, and its a bigger bike all round.
@@stephenfleming7056 Yes true, but I think it would need even more spending on it, to get it to look right, whereas the Street Bob is really only bars, number plate, maybe seat and a few little bits.
I want that to be my first bike I would remove that yellow reflector on the forks though, and definitely change the signal lights to a led 360 one and change the taillight to led as well, and definitely the exhaust it looks and sounds great but I want a bit more bass so everyone can hear me, but not to the point that I would annoy my neighbors of course I want them to appreciate it not hate it and from that it's perfect.
Nice review, i tried this bike (brother) and positive: look, details, large range rpm, smooth acceleration, nice noise, very soft clutch, double front discs. negative: clutch with very hurry release is disrupt, im case pushing on side steering (something on road) this manever is very crazy, bike is shaking, seat is giving stress and shake (if road is in perfect surface condition-no problem), fuell tank so small range, and chain why not belt? Finally, who used 5-6speed, usualy you used max 4 due to enougt rpm Im owner HD
Triumph make stunning bikes with great performance and reliability. I imagine spending all day on the bobber is a big no, if only triumph made the bikes slightly taller. Currently riding a speed twin ;-)
Yes we agree. With regard to size, very few manufacturers make bikes big enough for 6 foot plus guys. With bobbers, cruisers baggers etc, length is more important really in our opinion 👍
Wow what a machine. I love how daring Triumph are. There must be some cool cats working there! When I am off my restricted license It will be a hard choice between the HD Fat Bob and the Triumph Bobber.
I have a 2023 bobber, i thought about triumph adding more power to it by replacing the 1200 with the older triumph storm 1600 power plant. Just a thought..
the seat height adjustment is quite controversial. My local dealers are saying that there is no height adjustment other than very minimal when moving the seat forward and back. I am 5'5" with a 27" inseam and the seat needs to be an inch lower for my preference. I need this bike but I have to sell my 2015 YAMAHA V STAR 1300 DELUXE first. My bike has every OEM upgrade and only 2000 miles.
Another fantastic review! I have not ridden the bobber black yet but I'm really liking the look of it. If you don't mind me asking, what jacket are you wearing in the vid?
Such a beautiful bike but, with these bobber-style motorcycles, is there ever any fear that a decent bump will "buck" you out of the seat? Great vid as usual guys and thanks for sharing!
Wot a great review of the triumph bobber black so good that i went out and bought one👍👍👍
Thanks very much! Excellent 👍🏼👍🏼
I've never seen something as good looking as that bike in my life

stillfox68 Great! It’s a beautiful motorcycle!
That's great! It sure is a cool looking bike! Your car choice is up there too!
Sir... If you can hurry a little you might get your hands on bobber tfc.. Its a limited edition only 750 units are available......go for it i would say
Saw this at the Toronto motorcycle show last weekend. Nicest looking bike I saw. What a beauty!
Twistie Slayer Thanks Twistie! Great idea about the bars! It really is an awesome looking bike, and top quality!

Twistie Slayer Yes I know; my friend put on some taller wider ones and it looks incredible
This bike in a heartbeat! Absolutely stunning, and the newer ones now have the 12L tank. I bought the Speedmaster because of the comfort and pillion seats, which I can remove to approximate this Bobber. But I think the Bobber is one of the most beautiful bikes out there.

We hope you achieve your ambition! The Triumph Bobber Black is a fabulous bike. Quite potent for a first bike so build ip slowly 👊🏼
Go for it. Passed my test in February at the age of 50... Bought a Truimph bobber in khaki green with brown quilted seat and after market exhausts... Its a terrific bike and I had bought it before I had passed my test... I just had a feeling it was for me..
Best of luck with your test. 👍
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man ...sometimes you gotta run before you can walk, Tony Stark
Great to hear about your bike bro! Great ideas you have! Yes it will be so nice to get out again after the lockdown. Stay Safe!
Probably be my re-entry bike. I always look forward to your thoughtful reviews. _( I also like the editing and vibes. Well done.)_
Thanks buddy! Not long before the 2021 reviews start to come 👍🏼
I own the Black Ironstone and i'm totally happy with it. You did a very good job with the review especially with the sound. Its pretty close to real sounding. Lovely done.
Thanks Jan! Ride safe!
What a beautiful bike. I thought my next bike would be an Indian Scout Bobber. But, after seeing this, I may have changed my mind. Wow.
Ride them both before buying if you can 👍🏼
In 1969 I got my motor cycle endorsement riding a 1969 Triumph Bonneville before I could drive a car, I couldn't afford a car so I did what I had to do. I love it man out of the park dude.
That’s great! Time for another one?
First mod on my 2021 Bobber was the Fox adjustable rear shock. Major difference. Short mudguards front and rear and too many other mods to describe turned it into a real head turner. I love the Triumph, and both my Harleys too, but ride the Bobber more than not. Thanks O'l Man from the other O'l Man in the States. Great vid.
Excellent! Sounds great 👌🏼
Where can we see your bobber mate
Thank you so much. This is by far the best review video in the bobber. All the info I needed plus good shots of you riding it and first person shots as well. Great work mate. I’ve now made my decision. Off to the Triumph dealer
Thanks buddy! That’s great! Really glad it helped 👍🏼👍🏼
Who Ami Haha no problem. The Fat Boy is one of our favourite bikes too.
Kim Horton Are you considering the Triumph or have you got any alternatives?
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man I am not. Since the Bobber came out I’ve admired the looks and the quality of the bits and build but I will have to move in from motorcycles as I get older.so I think my current 2015 Goldwing may be my last bike. I did also like the Yamaha Bolt 650 cruiser as well. It’s small, inexpensive and Yamaha is almost as famous as Honda for their reliability and easy maintenance.
I'm 6'3" myself and quite skinny at only 180 pounds. so it was very helpful that you filmed yourself going down the streets and roads. You looked great and very comfortable on this bike
I would go for the forward controls even though they wouldn't be needed.
Good job, guys 🤘
It is absolutely a bike to fall in love with.
My summary:
A really cool looking bike, not for the big trip.
Thanks mate! Yes we know exactly what you feel 👍🏼
The first thing I did when I bought my Bobber Black in The Netherlands in 2018 was buying the original Triumph kneepads to make the Bobber tank look more like an old school motorbike tank. It looks fantastic.
That is cool!
Another great review, with a beautiful bike and stunning scenery.
Daniel Candelaria Thanks Daniel! Much appreciated 👊🏼
Subbed from Glasgow, I have had the BB since trading in my iron 883 last sept. Literally never looked back . Amazing fun. Great review
The Bearded Bobber Perfect! The step from Iron to BB is ideal. The 1200 Triumph is more potent feeling than the 1200 Harleys too
Huge respect to Triumph for making a bang on ride!
Hi Guys, about to sign my life away for a bobber 2021 model with 500 kms on the clock.
You were the first you tube info I went for, YOUR usual honest appraisal.
Thanks guys
Ps I went for the red tank paintwork. In my opinion looks great .
Pps I thought the ride was quite harsh but in Jburg that’s the norm with quite a few of our roads . T I A
Thanks buddy! Excellent news! Enjoy the bike! Great choice 👌🏼
Indeed corrosion seems an issue on some parts. It‘s my impression after one (first) winter
Thanks buddy, make sure you subscribe. We’ve improved a lot since this video 😁 glad you like our style!
Interesting observations! 💯 We’d agree with that
Love this bike. Rode and owned Harleys, Triumphs, and BSA Lightning, but I just feel really drawn to this bike, considering the purpose I need it for. I'm an older man, and this seems just right. Besides being a real beauty. Thanks for the Vid.
Great job! I love this bike so much I bought one. The 2018 BB. No regrets whatsoever
Doyle Hurt Oh great! What a bike! Have you changed anything on it?
Doyle Hurt Great Bike...bought mine in 2018 it was year old .....no regrets.....👍🇬🇧🤓
I'm not even a bike person and I love this bike. I have a Lotus Seven kit car and am looking in my garage thinking one of these would sit very nicely beside it.
Yes that would compliment it very nicely!
This bike, the Indian Scout Bobber, and the Triumph Rocket 3 GT are the three most beautiful cruisers I've ever seen. Hoping to own them all one day.
Excellent plan! 💯
The view at 9:52 made me pause the video. That shot is one of the best I've ever seen of this beauty.
Thanks buddy 💯
Real nice.. I was extremely impressed with the test drive I took. Had I not had my own custom bobber I’d have bought it. Was looking for something to travel in.
skywalker rouge one OK that’s good! It is remarkably well styled isn’t it!
I'm normally a fan of Triumph's paint everything black mentality but for a classic looking Bobber it's perfect.
Yes it’s a real looker!
Thanks Hans! It’s certainly a stunning looking bike! 👍🏼👍🏼
I'M LOVING THIS BIKE, I'M IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING MY PERMIT, I'LL BE LOOKING AT THAT BIKE IN THE SHOW ROOM FOR SURE
It looks even better in the metal! 👍
Thanks to you guys for a great review! Now I'm confused about which bike I like better, the Bobber or the Speedmaster. All the best to ya !
Am a sport bike owner but thats the only one kinda „chopper” i would ever buy. Love the look of that bike, its just beautiful.
Yes sure is pretty!
I'm 64 years old, and I bought my Bobber Black 2 years ago. The only thing I added to my Bobber were the 2 original Bobber kneepads because I thought the tank looked a little bald or dull without them.
That’s great my friend! It’s certainly a bike that has everything one could want, with little personal tweaks like you say 👊🏼
Thanks bro! We will be reviewing the Indians after lockdown too. I'll look out for the shiny new Bobber!
Great stuff and top content all the same
Thanks buddy. Yes we have got a bit better at it. 👍🏼👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan just a bit aha! Still a great review though! Also finally remember to get one of your T shirts! 👍🏻
Great job mate! Best overview I have seen. Would love to see some additional factory and aftermarket upgrade options vs stock.
Thanks Jason 👍 We’d like to do something like that but Triumph aren’t lending at the moment
Good articulate review of a real stunning and good value bike guys..keep up the good work
Thanks Mark !
Don't think you mentioned the cruise control ? I love using it especially on hills . You can feel her holding back as you go downhill and then you get the awesome sound as she grunts back up the other side !! I do find the suspension a bit firm on rough roads but the bike is so great that I can forgive it !!
No good point 👍🏼 Thanks 💯
I have watched couple of your videos pal they are fabulous great work thank you and love from the true north 🇨🇦
Thanks buddy. Only a couple! Lol 👍🏼👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan lol
Pascal Ruhnke Yes stunning! The scrambler is really nice too 👍
I agree, that’s why I own the 2018 Bobber Black. If I’m having a bad day, I stare at my bike
Haha yes it’s art!
Beautiful! I'm 6'4" and I heretofore discounted this bike...Now I'll take a harder look!
Ok great! Hopefully we’ve got the 2022 version coming for review really soon
Nice review! I miss that metal music in the new reviews lol. This bike has got my attention, thank guys!
Added 'Beach bars' to my wife's bobber. She is 5'1" and it fits her superbly. She loves the bike.
Excellent! 💯👍🏼
Old Harley rider here. I about sold on this Bobber! Gotta take a test ride.
Hi. Great relaxed review channel I've just come across. Good job👍👍
I believe though it's made in Thailand.
Pike Bobstar Yes for a factory bobber, it sure looks good! Beats the Harley-Davidson and Indian on price and looks
Thanks buddy! Interesting points well made 💯👍🏼
Fantastic, professional quality review. You boys do a great job selling rural England too. As to the bike: monster torque yet six speed box.
Eh? Four more like!
Thanks buddy! We’ve got a few more Triumphs lined up very soon 💪🏻
Love the approach to this review. First time I watched you guys. Reminds me of having a chat with my dad. Keep it up and please review some more bikes like the new triumph rocket. I'd say would suit your build more. Took one out for a spin and it's very accomplished
markmcc21 Thanks Mark! We’ve got some incredible bikes lined up after lockdown! The Rocket 3 may be in there! Thanks for subscribing! 👊🏼
... I have the bobber black... you can toss it around the twisties like a sports bike... a bit low clearance on the pegs... put BC slash turnout pipes on it plus several other personalized bits... replaced saddle with de rosa diamond quilted... you are quite right... it is a head turner...
Awesome buddy! I bet they can hear you coming!
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man ... indeed...
Great Review , just picked up a 2020 Triumph T120 Ace Cafe edition , I can’t say enough about it , I love it ! Nothing like a Triumph 😊👍
Thanks buddy! Excellent! We’re reviewing the T120 next week.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan can’t wait 👍😊
A really good and honest review. I hope you can review the other two bikes you mention (Indian Scout Bobber & Harley Davidson Street Bob - if not already done so) and make a comparison. That said, I really like this bike as the fit and finish are just superb. Anyway, excellent review and keep up the good work👍😎🤘
Certainly in the pipeline! We did the Street Bob a year or so ago th-cam.com/video/XS-1ckFscXo/w-d-xo.html
Have an HD XL-1200 NIGHTSTER. Love the triumph!
Cool 👍🏼
“I wouldn’t change anything on this bike apart from the exhaust “ that’s petty much what everyone does with all bikes😀 .love the video though well detailed.
Thanks buddy! Yes agreed
Would love to see you guys giving reviews on the Triumph Speedmaster. 👍
Jay Sern Yes that would be interesting. Fingers crossed! 👊🏼
Haha yes! Awesome 👊🏼
Very good video, interesting and complete as always, Congrats! It is a beautiful machine. How about a comparison with a classic bobber like the Harley Softail Slim? British-American
I'd love to see it, I don't think anyone has done it before.
Thanks buddy. The hard thing is getting 2 bikes at the same time; it’s exceedingly difficult to get any bikes at all this year!
Absolutely! Yes there’s always a price where it gets too much.
Check out our other videos! Lots of Triumphs etc
What a beautiful bike! I cannot wait till I can pick up my bobber, hopefully with week. In Germany, the first service is due after 800 km or 4 weeks already whatever happens first. After that initial inspection it is due every 16.000 km or every year. So it is basically a marketing joke, since you need to take it to inspection every year, even if you don't ride 16.000 km. ;)
Yes they are all the same to be honest. Even zero miles you still need a service to maintain the warranty.
want this bike. Thanks for the in-depth review.
Thank you ! Yes its very special!
Great review! Loved the details. Thoughts on the Indian Scout Bobber 2021? Can you do a comparison between the Triumph and Indian, please?!
Thanks buddy. Yes we will be reviewing the 2021 Indians very soon.
Thanks buddy. I get what you’re saying. Bobber and Speedmaster both superb.
Bobber Black is more punchy. Speedmaster more pliable and comfortable
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I think a couple of test rides over the next few weeks, choose one and correct my mistake!
@@noelsheedy absolutely 💯
Lovely bike, I love everything about it except being water cooled. I think it's and additional layer of service and problem causing source, but that's just me. Surprised Triumph started making water cooled engines.
Beautiful bike. Ride safe cheers.
Tony Good points Tony! Thanks for your continued support 👊🏼
I really love the look of that bike. Only thing I would change is the front rotors to more of a straight spaced out look design to showcase those spoke rims. And the mirrors. I personally hold on the edge of the bar end. Other than than, it’s stunning
Ramon Carbajal Good points Ramon 👊🏼👍
Great review. One of my favorite dream bikes, for sure. I just wish it had a little better luggage options.
Yes, yes, I know: it's a bobber. Minimalist.
Thanks bro! Yes we get what you mean!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Oh, and greetings from CA. Currently, I've a Yamaha Stryker and Triumph Speed Triple. Would like to trade the Yamaha for a Bobber or T120.
Keith Drummond Sounds like a good plan! 👍
I bought the Indian scout bobber a few years ago but I like the Triumph better. At the time the chain drive turned me away but it's really a non issue. At 74 I'm one of the younger riders you mentioned.
Ahh ok 👍🏼 Yes nice to hear from a younger rider 😁
Hi team what a great review. The only tall bloke on TH-cam giving an honest review
Is a speed master review on the way?
Thanks bud! We’ve got a Scrambler xe, a street scrambler and a street twin booked in, then hopefully we can sort a speed master
Chris Hanlon Hopefully we will get mote from Triumph. If it weren’t for the stupid uk motorcycle licensing, Darcy would be on them all!
I love the look of the Bobber, have been reviewing it... 😍 (and the tall grey haired man is quite handsome as well...)
Yes it’s a cracking bike! Thanks for the compliments 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent review. May I ask in what area do you reside? It is absolutely beautiful. Cheers!
Nick DeMayo Thanks Nick! We’re in Leicestershire; East of Leicester UK
The video doesn't do justice to how good these sound! I took one out, loved it, want one!!
Like the engine but the seat and rear styling not for me. At a similar price I'd go for the Harley Street Bob or spend a little more on the Softail Slim. Great review, cheers.
splodge 57 Fair points Splodge. We actually like the rear styling but it’s not everyones thing: we get it.
I ordered a Bobber TFC. When will you guys see the Bobber TFC in showrooms in the UK?
Stephen Wesley Available now as far as I know. Until sold out. 👍
Enjoy your videos, I was wondering though what jacket you're wearing? I'm toying with idea of the style myself, though I've already got a nice Merlin waxed jacket.
G J Hi mate! Thanks ! The brand of this jacket is Texpeed. It’s a ‘Brando’ style.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan thanks for getting back to me, keep up the good channel!
Has the fuel capacity?
Could you review a thunderbird night storm, 1700. In comparison to this? I’m interested in buying. Keep up the good work fellas!
Lawrence Gough if we can get our hands on one we will. They aren’t making them any more, so it would have to be a used one.
The most beautiful motorcycle ever made in the world.
pigeon Isn’t it a work of art!
Thanks Alberto! Good points too.
I considered the Bobber, and then I bought a Street Bob, not much in it regarding price but The Street Bob has more capabilities, pillion for example, and its a bigger bike all round.
Stephen Fleming OK that’s interesting. The Street Bob is a lovely bike too 👊
@@MrDarcy-OlMan And now there is the Softail Standard that is basically a Street Bob with some chrome and polished cases at £800 less.
@@stephenfleming7056 Yes true, but I think it would need even more spending on it, to get it to look right, whereas the Street Bob is really only bars, number plate, maybe seat and a few little bits.
Street bob are much more expensive!....
Totally overclass!....😝
I want that to be my first bike I would remove that yellow reflector on the forks though, and definitely change the signal lights to a led 360 one and change the taillight to led as well, and definitely the exhaust it looks and sounds great but I want a bit more bass so everyone can hear me, but not to the point that I would annoy my neighbors of course I want them to appreciate it not hate it and from that it's perfect.
Crispy Beats Awesome! Great points. When are you thinking of getting one? I can highly recommend it - it’s a fabulous bike!
Finally, who used 5-6speed, usualy you used max 4 due to enougt rpm
Im owner HD
Thank you ! I think it would be better with more rake and trail, say 30degrees. It's definitely a short distance cruiser, but pretty cool!
I bought the exact same one in this video and I watched this video 100x before I did
Excellent 👍🏼👍🏼
the most beautiful bike i ever seen
Awesome! Perhaps it was because I was sitting on it 😎
MrDarcy & the Ol'Man yes because you have really good shape :)
Ray McCarthy Yes certainly Triumph are making some cool bikes! Have you seen our Fat Bob review? Any info you need feel free to ask buddy
We didn’t try adjusting it but I think it’s only a couple of cm
Another fantastic review!
I have not ridden the bobber black yet but I'm really liking the look of it.
If you don't mind me asking, what jacket are you wearing in the vid?
stederk thank you! 👍🏼 The jacket is a Texpeed
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Haha, I found and watched your review vid on it a few mins after asking!
Spot on cheers!
stederk Ahh great 👍🏼
Such a beautiful bike but, with these bobber-style motorcycles, is there ever any fear that a decent bump will "buck" you out of the seat? Great vid as usual guys and thanks for sharing!
Yes indeed. No more than any other bike tbh although where you land is an issue 😬
