You're right, the bomb expert that Tony killed in the car was Tuco's Uncle Hector Salamanca, the old man in the wheelchair on Breaking Bad. Also Tony's best friend Manny was also in Breaking Bad too. He played Mexican boss of the Salamanca cartal Don Eladio. 😉

Al Pacino burned his hand on the gun in the last scene fighting all those dudes, but the cameras kept rolling for the shot. It was a second degree burn, but hey they got the shot. His mom knew that Tony was always into bad stuff, and that is why she didn't want him around Gina. She just wanted to protect Gina, but that girl wanted to be for the streets.
She ruined Gina by overprotecitng her and being super strict on her. Nobody just takes thousands of dollars and runs to date a street mobster in a club like that randomly unless they're trying to escape an oppressive life. Moms like Tony's mom exist everywhere
As an older adult, you’d realize Frank was definitely right! Being low key you’d last longer, don’t underestimate the other guys greed and don’t get high on your own supply. Also his mom was right too! Tony was actually the biggest hater! Of all the chicks in Miami, you choose the boss’ lady?!?! And didn’t listen to Frank cuz Frank was actually right. What scares me is the number of people that see this movie and go "Awesome! I wanna do that!" It feels like every time a cautionary tale about greed comes out half of the people don't realize that the stories about why you SHOULDN'T live that way. The Wolf of Wall Street is the same way. Idiots think it's supposed to be motivational. It's not.

1. The first time I saw this was in a Nightclub (during the day for lunch) in Olongapo City in the PI. Hooked immediately!😎
2. Steven Bauer/Manny is the only true Cuban in the main cast.
3. Miami didn't want this filmed there because it would make the City look bad. Most outside scenes were filmed in LA.
4. My biggest takeaway was how fast Sosa got his team to rain on Tony.😱
The Scarface video game has an alternate universe story where Tony Montana survives the shooting at the end of the movie. You turn around and take out the dude behind you to start off the game. But all of Tony's power is stripped away by Sosa, and you have to rebuild your empire.
Most people miss Richard Belzer (munch from law and order) as the comedian at the Babylon

The original film had more explicit incestuous overtones. But even in this film, much of Tony's feelings aren't just brotherly overprotectiveness, but sexual jealousy. He just can't admit that to anyone, least of all himself.

Great movie. Pretty sure that either way regardless whatever or not if Tony did the hit, he was screwed either way. On one hand Tony didn't do the hit and is killed by Sosa's hit squad. On the other hand, if Tony did do the hit, most likely Sosa would made sure that Tony would went down for it as the fall guy because he realized that Tony was starting to become a liability by getting high in his own supply and he was facing a prison.

I also had only seen the say hello to my little friend scene. I went pretty much blind into the movie when I was 20 expecting a light hearted action movie. Boy was I wrong, scarface has been one of my favorites ever since.

The grandfather was an architect and grandma was a teacher. Castro tortured him to death, and electroshock fried his grandma's brain. When I met her, she couldn't speak a word of English, tho she was here for 20 years, and all she could do, was act like a hotel maid 😮😮😮. The Cuban community in Florida, still hates Castro and communism and the Demoncats party, with a passion! I imagine he had some part to play in it. But even if he didn't it's also kind of unfair to put all the blame on the mother, no? Between the two of them I think I'd have to place my bet on Tony being the culprit.
Tony was never a good example that was clear which is why mom threw him out BUT he didn't give her that wad of cash and said "go do drugs and do it with a random guy in a bathroom" that was her decision. yes some parents do their absolute best and the child still ends up rotten but a lot of parents don't do their best, only the bare minimum of raising. the girl still loved tony as her big brother and said she doesn't care what he did. mom should've raised her to understand what tony did/is doing is WRONG and she could end up killed but instead she decided to be so mad at tony and try to erase it. so 7 out of 10 times mom also screwed up her daughters life by not raising her to, I guess you could say "hate" tony.
