Spica is an amazing girl group (although I still think Big Mama is the best gg of all time.) If I had to answer why they didn't make it bigger compared to Mamamoo, I think they never really had the big song that would have pushed them to top tier and they didn't have the personalities that Mamamoo did (plus their company wasn't the best - not horrible but never really promoted them to their best.)

This is what I called female DBSK, all members sing very well and in harmony. This group definitely deserves the top on Kpop world but unfortunately Kpop world prefers visual performance than vocal ability. Would be nice if the company hire a better marketing for them.

After all these years I still can't understand how this fantastic group was disbanded. They can all sing and the harmonies are superb. Here in the UK we have NO ONE who can compare. Thank goodness I discovered K-Pop about 10 years ago and I still love it despite the disbanding of such wonderful groups as 2NE1 and many of the 2nd Generation acts which I loved.

This group has 5 Solji, 5 Hyorin, 5 Ailee + 5 Seolhyun, 5 Hani, 5 Yoona. All the visuals and vocals put together in one group. No one is lacking in any department. I don't mind if such amazing group like this being mediaplayed every single day. SPICA hang on there, babies! Don't give up just yet. I know you girls can make it big. My EXID babies did it before. You guys can do it too!
The only that's really missing is their dancing skills. They need someone with dancing skills, but their vocals are no joke at all. :) Bohyung and Boa are my favorite. :)
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard IN MY LIFE. SPICA really knocks it out of the park with this one; I knew they could all sing well since Russian Roulette, but this...wow. Kim Bohyung really shines. I always thought that Big Mama's version was the definitive one. Until now. Move over, Davichi, Brown Eyed Girls, and all the rest: The new top vocal group is here. SPICA. Spica one of the most talented groups kpop has ever had, but korea wasn't prepared for such a talented group, and didn't know how to appreciate a great talent!!
I honestly don't usually go for vocalist groups because there are so many vocalists out there that I've been a bit desensitized so I gravitate towards hip hop or rnb groups like bangtan and miss a, but damn...Spica. They're on a whole other level. I teared up during this and had to refrain from crying. Seriously. I've never been this touched by a performance for a long time. Another group that has moved me to tears is 2am but they're inactive nowadays, but Spica is rapidly becoming my favorite group. Wow. Just wow.
Coming back after listening to T-ara's and SISTAR's performance and SPICA nailed it just like BIg Mama, i wish the new "fans" to aprreciate vocals and talent over looks and agencys popularity.
SPICA may not be the most popular group, YET, but the fact that they were invited on this program proves they are respected by the industry. IU, Hong Jinyoung, Hyorin(Sistar), and Jeong Eunji(Apink) are all respected vocalists who also appeared in this show. So the fact that SPICA appeared as a full group, performed an iconic song, and each member had individual singing parts, says a lot.
Pretty darn impressive during the climax of the song near the end -- belting out those notes right at the edge, yet still under control, makes my ears happy :)
One of the reasons I love SPICA - they are amazing live performers. The studio version of their songs are already so good, but the live ones are just mind-blowing. It's like no scale even fit to measure the beauty of the live ones.
The day the kpop industry realizes the powerhouse that Spica is it, it will be another day too late. I, like other Mercuries have been following them from their debut, and the day that they get their well deserved attention and respect can not come soon enough. With that said, the goosebumps I got from this performance, goodness. Each unique color coming together so beautifully for those harmonies- more goosebumps. Narae is like the dark horse of this group, because while the two power vocals are hitting their notes, she comes in to anchor the rest of the group. I can't even, my feels are all over the place. And BoHyung has the best body in kpop- okay I'm done now.
YASSSS Spica! You go girls! All non-Spica fans should watch this. It's been said in the comments countless times but I will reiterate this: this group needs more attention because they are THAT good. They go so unnoticed just because they don't follow the conventional kpop girl group route. But they are sooo freakin talented. And this performance in particular showcases the fact that every member can sing. Just because you don't hit high notes doesn't mean you can't sing. And the harmonization is so on point. Spica fighting!
Just did some research on Spica's backstory after watching this performance. What I like about Spica is that every one has life experience. Each girl went through so many failures and rejections before ending up together in Spica. Couple that with their natural born vocal talent and their fortunate encounter with their new mentor Lee Hyori ( who injected much needed swag and who helped them find a style/image consistent with their true personalities ) and you have the perfect marriage of life-experience, talent and opportunity. When you hear Spica perform, they have life experience and genuine feeling to express-and they have the technical ability to inject that genuine emotion into their vocals. You know that you're watching women perform not girls. Let's hope their next comeback will be their final breakthrough.
Bohyung has such a unique voice. Wow. They're all very talented, such great voices and perfect harmony. The one with short hair (don't know her name) is very pretty!
Park Sihyun, she is the rapper. Her name used to be Juhyun, but she very recently changed it to Sihyun. Yes, she is very lovely and her eyes are as sexy as I have ever seen in my life.
Tbh, I'm a full-time YG Stan and I can't deny the fact that they are so talented, they are really amazing. Their vocals are the most awesome thing. I haven't seen any K-POP Group that can harmonize their voices that well. Even in 2NE1, they rarely do it. I will support them in the future bc they are so cool.

They debuted before being under Hyori's management, Boa is a vocal trainer, Spica debuted with T-ara where she already sounded fab and Bohyung trained under YG ent. Don't know much about Narae and Sihyun's past
SPICA is the ONLY K-Pop girl group in recent years in which EVERYONE sings so incredibly well in Live, and EVERYONE looks so gorgeous. Yes there are incredible singers in other groups too (Hyorin in SISTAR, Sojin in Girlsday, Taeyeon in SNSD, Eunji in APINK etc etc etc…) but not as a whole group as in SPICA. SPICA is definitely the most Underrated girl group in KPOP.

SPICAs vocals was just in a safe side they didnt play much of their voice unlike SISTAR they always show their vocals in a different level as always.

Coming back after listening to T-ara's and SISTAR's performance and SPICA nailed it just like BIg Mama, i wish the new "fans" to aprreciate vocals and talent over looks and agencys popularity.

SPICA may not be the most popular group, YET, but the fact that they were invited on this program proves they are respected by the industry. IU, Hong Jinyoung, Hyorin(Sistar), and Jeong Eunji(Apink) are all respected vocalists who also appeared in this show. So the fact that SPICA appeared as a full group, performed an iconic song, and each member had individual singing parts, says a lot.

Pretty darn impressive during the climax of the song near the end -- belting out those notes right at the edge, yet still under control, makes my ears happy :)
One of the reasons I love SPICA - they are amazing live performers. The studio version of their songs are already so good, but the live ones are just mind-blowing. It's like no scale even fit to measure the beauty of the live ones.
The day the kpop industry realizes the powerhouse that Spica is it, it will be another day too late. I, like other Mercuries have been following them from their debut, and the day that they get their well deserved attention and respect can not come soon enough.
With that said, the goosebumps I got from this performance, goodness. Each unique color coming together so beautifully for those harmonies- more goosebumps. Narae is like the dark horse of this group, because while the two power vocals are hitting their notes, she comes in to anchor the rest of the group. I can't even, my feels are all over the place.
And BoHyung has the best body in kpop- okay I'm done now.
All of them have so powerful vocals...even the rapper Sihyun...😮

YASSSS Spica! You go girls! All non-Spica fans should watch this. It's been said in the comments countless times but I will reiterate this: this group needs more attention because they are THAT good. They go so unnoticed just because they don't follow the conventional kpop girl group route. But they are sooo freakin talented. And this performance in particular showcases the fact that every member can sing. Just because you don't hit high notes doesn't mean you can't sing. And the harmonization is so on point. Spica fighting!
I'm not a fan, but now I am 😊 just now. I love them. OMG I think they deserve the popularity that Girls' Generation recieves.

Just did some research on Spica's backstory after watching this performance. What I like about Spica is that every one has life experience. Each girl went through so many failures and rejections before ending up together in Spica.
Couple that with their natural born vocal talent and their fortunate encounter with their new mentor Lee Hyori ( who injected much needed swag and who helped them find a style/image consistent with their true personalities ) and you have the perfect marriage of life-experience, talent and opportunity.
When you hear Spica perform, they have life experience and genuine feeling to express-and they have the technical ability to inject that genuine emotion into their vocals. You know that you're watching women perform not girls.
Let's hope their next comeback will be their final breakthrough.

Bohyung has such a unique voice. Wow. They're all very talented, such great voices and perfect harmony. The one with short hair (don't know her name) is very pretty!
Park Sihyun, she is the rapper. Her name used to be Juhyun, but she very recently changed it to Sihyun. Yes, she is very lovely and her eyes are as sexy as I have ever seen in my life.
Tbh, I'm a full-time YG Stan and I can't deny the fact that they are so talented, they are really amazing. Their vocals are the most awesome thing. I haven't seen any K-POP Group that can harmonize their voices that well. Even in 2NE1, they rarely do it. I will support them in the future bc they are so cool.

They debuted before being under Hyori's management, Boa is a vocal trainer, Spica debuted with T-ara where she already sounded fab and Bohyung trained under YG ent. Don't know much about Narae and Sihyun's past

SPICA is the ONLY K-Pop girl group in recent years in which EVERYONE sings so incredibly well in Live, and EVERYONE looks so gorgeous. Yes there are incredible singers in other groups too (Hyorin in SISTAR, Sojin in Girlsday, Taeyeon in SNSD, Eunji in APINK etc etc etc…) but not as a whole group as in SPICA.
SPICA is definitely the most Underrated girl group in KPOP.
