The meaning of this video is pretty deep. They made it to show how shallow the K-Pop world is and how much it focuses on looks whether we want to believe it or not. And it's true it honestly does. Big Mama was pure talent. And for those who didn't know it's been reported that in their contracts that they were not allowed to get plastic surgery. When I heard that I've never been so happy because it just goes to show you that they were recognised WORLD WIDE for their talent. Like yeah Hyorin is a good singer but she lacks technique when it comes to her head voice and a few other things. Like let's be real in today's world of K-Pop if any girl group debuted like this and did not have any work done and did not have to focus on their weight or the way their image was or have a concept. They would be nothing. K-pop today focuses so much on a females appearance it disgust me. For theses for woman to take the stage and just stand their and sing and have everyone in tears because of how beautiful their voices are is Talent. Pure talent.
There's Mamamoo. They have great vocals, and don't fit the typical standard of Korean beauty (Hwasa is known for her bigger thighs). Their single last year was one of the best selling, their album sales so pretty well and are increasing, and they are fairly popular among the young and the old.
+Kieran Kenji they kind of sorta of. I feel the only one in mamamoo who doesn't is hwasa because of you look at her tanned skin and her makeup it's western inspired. With the heavy contour and highlight. Lashes and winged liner. But when you look at big mama they looked nothing like idols but just average women.
Reminds me of what happened to Piggy Dolls... they debuted with a similar idea, being bigger in K-Pop, when they want skinny girls with good looks. They ended up dieting and losing weight, then eventually all the original girls were replaced with new ones. So sad. :( They had such powerful vocals too, but K-Pop fans were too shallow to see through their looks and see their talent. :(
Maxi you should listen to spica’s cover . It is really good. They gave justice to big Mam.

I just learned something watching this video...A lot of kpop gain a huge success bc of their stunning visuals but listening to these ladies I can notice that they don't need that, only with that amazing voice attract.

Actually,big mama was a yg girl group not many kpop stans know about these days,they were very famous in korea at that time and some of their songs are still covered by many famous artists,they were famous for their amazing vocals but sadly they met an sad ending due to korean beauty standards,to people they were more like,some big mommas like that,people did love them but they received critisizm more bc of their visuals.....

This song changed me. I was a teenager in love with Shinwha, TVXQ, SES, Fin KL... had their posters and paraphernalia. I loved their pretty cool visuals. I loved their peppy music and grooved to it until the day I discovered Big Mama. I loved western soul, RnB and Hip-Hop music and K-Pop was something new and interesting for me after J-pop but I didn't now any Korean soul/ RnB singers but finding Big Mama was the best thing ever... Discovered Tasha Reid, one of the best in the world. YGE... 1TYM and Korean Hip-Hop/ RnB scene.....

@@ohseunghee3207 - greetings fellow Cheshire....CLC is currently my second-favorite female kpop group (although I am worried about them and all that's going on with them) and Seunghee is not only my CLC bias, but she is my #1 ultimate female kpop bias....Spica, who i dearly love and miss a bunch, were my second-favorite female kpop group (only behind Girls' Generation) until they disbanded....when it comes to vocals, i do not feel that any group can top them....Mamamoo and Big Mama certainly are in the tops as well when it comes to vocals, but Spica was so special in that each of their 5 members could have been the leader and lead vocalist in almost any other female kpop group.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE them and their amazing vocals! this is one of my fave songs! i saw this music video a long long time ago and i have to admit, i still love it! =] man, i gotta say this music video didn't get interesting until you saw the girls in the back. seriously. the girls in the front were good, but when you saw big mama in the back you could literally see music radiating from them. their passion for music is breathtaking. i just love people who are so dedicated and passionate about music.
Spica made a cover of the song and i keep wondering since then who's the real singer..only today i figure Big Mama..what a beautiful voice unit..

I am happy that they are popular in Korea but the world I think need to hear their awesome voices.
I have seen and heard a lot of great singers who are larger than them but never have the chance.
This is the first time I've come across blatantly asian female singer's whose voices I enjoy. I'm really impressed. I have friends who listen to alot of Jpop or Jrock and I don't mind the instrumentals but their voices grate on my nerves. This is beautiful, thanks for introducing me to it.
