What if you file a claim but they said they can't pay for it because it was a wear and tear but they still put it as an accident on your driving record and your insurance goes up by $100
Omg! This happened to us after we filed our claim on our 5th wheel after hurricane Ian and they didn’t pay due to “ wear and tear” and after Idalia we’re in a huge mess now! Is there anyway we can fight them or take them to court for ripping us off like that? We had multiple pictures and videos as well!
What about if you have an accident on your record and not so good credit :/ is there a way to get someone else to put you on insurance? Im in the process of vehicle and I want to explore what I can do.
Not exactly, most companies do a soft hit which doesn’t pull your actual credit. It’s just used the last reported data - it shouldn’t affect your actual credit.
When it comes to safety features, my car has all the bells and whistles, like active break assist, active lane keeping assist, active distance assist, and the list goes on. So, I asked my agent if any of these features will give me any additional discounts (as I only see "Anti-Theft" listed on the policy declarations as an eligible feature for my vehicle), but he told me all the features eligible for discounts are automatically applied based on the VIN number of my car. Is he being honest or is he lying?
I can’t speak for his company but in my experience most are applied based off the VIN but if you have a low lack of vehicle recovery device that’s a separate line item to be selected manually. It’s possible that company has it applied automatically but unlikely
If they have them applied automatically then anti-theft shouldnt show up either like the rest If you have a smaller company insurance ask for a copy of all your policy coverage information including policy discounts because thats usually what they do when they bring in customers that they think have little knowledge on insurance policies, less discounts and more hidden fees Try State Farm or Allstate if you havent already, i have Allstate and they have many easy things you can do to get good discounts especially if you have one of the four premium policies, an Allstate agent isnt just going to say its already included leaving you in doubt, theyre going to show you the numbers first thing, because numbers dont lie Or maybe you have a base model car and looked up the features of the premium model instead
Those items are expensive to repair if an accident occurs. Bumper damage with those add ons adds up quick. Insurance gets your safety features from your Vin.
Im 21yrs in NC and im paying 475$ monthly on my 2016 kia optima. Ive had one speeding ticket. Im looking to get it lower could you point me in the right direction?

Ok, yes that price is likely normal. What you can do it verify is call travelers and/or Geico to compare. They are good companies in SC when you’ve had 1 accident.
21 in a month trying to buy myself a car for my bday but the accident I had in my Infiniti at 18 is still hurting my rate. No matter what I do, doing the defensive course this week but what other options do I really have ?
Have you ever found an insurance, I know it’s been a couple month but I’m struggling with the same issue. Please let me know if you have any information that may help!
You normally will have a permanent address and they will rate for that location. Unless it’s changed most to all companies don’t have a specific policy that caters to year or longer traveling. If they do the ones I’ve worked with simply rate the primarily residence and that all
Just a clarification question. So, When you said "the professor was 10% higher," did you mean the professor paid 10% more the premium or the professor got a 10% more discount. I think you meant the former, but I want to double check (as I'm a professor).
In that scenario a professor discount over a teacher discount was 10% more expensive. Each company rates it differently but I would check if teacher is cheaper
@@ThinkInsuranceare insurance companies charging professors more than teachers because professors have more money they can steal from? If that's the case can I just tell my insurance company I'm a burger flipper? Or is there a profession that tends to get lower rates?

I would like to know what to do if your car insurance keep going up. And you have no other incidence. I am with a certain insurance and my renewal it went up instead of down because they was saying the reason my insurance keep going up isn't because of me it is because of the area where I live it is a lot of accidents and it is not fair that my insurance keep going up and I only have one incident and that's where I swiped a pole. And all the claims that I made when it was other people fault. I would like to know what can I do to lower my insurance I am on a fixed income and I can't afford to pay a lot of money after my renewal I thought was going to be the same but it went up $3 more this month. What can I do to lower my insurance?
Besides changing your coverage it sounds like you need to shop a few companies to compare prices. Insurance will go up if an area has higher claims because it is a shared risk.

Sir I’m here because I was looking forward to getting an Infiniti G37 since I have been saving up for it and I get that it’s probably going to be 100 dollars more than what I pay now for my Honda but they are asking me for 919 dollars a month of insurance which I personally think it’s ridiculous, any help?

There’s a couple of reasons you’re getting the higher quote. One of them, most likely being, infinity is titles and registers as a performance vehicle as well as, the cost of repairs are considerably higher. They are known to be more expensive to insure. I would reach out to Geico and Allstate. Maybe State Farm as well, they all are doing decent in FL right now. Let me know how it goes

More so cronyism than true capitalism. Capitalism requires an even exchange of goods/services or labor, and it isn't a zero-sum game. If people were given a choice of having insurance then that aligns more so with capitalism. However, an example of cronyism would be an insurance company requiring all holders to download an app then pay a fee for its utility.
Insurance rates wouldnt be so high if theyd stop handing out licenses like candy. Cars are essentially weapons. Just look around. Its nothing but mouth breathers behind the wheel, old people trying their best, over confident teenagers, EXTREMELY over confident young men, emotionally unhinged single moms, and virtually 9 out of 10 people looking at their phones as they follow wwwwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy to close and not turn into the correct lane. I have to over compensate for other peoples lack of responsibility and skill. Honestly the worst offenders are the guys who think driving wrecklessly somehow makes them good drivers.....they dont have the brain cells to tell road rules are different than race track rules. But the govt will NEVER make our licenses require any level of emotional intelligence, patience under pressure, or even focus on the basics like no camping, right of way, while lane to turn into, and following distance.
Thanks for the heads up. I don’t do most of the quotes depending if I’m licensed in your state or not. I will pull your quote form and reach out to an agent for you and have someone contact you
Get someone old to put you in their insurance and then pay them for the insurance plus an extra $50 a month that they can pocket! You will still save money!😂

And every fkng product or service these days wants you to purchase some sort of insurance or extended coverage, or additional warranty with it, so that when something breaks or happens and you needed they can look for every reason under the sun to deny you. Why does everything in this country have to be about how much money can we squeeze out of people purchasing our products in order to facilitate growth profit growth profit growth?? People are getting sick and tired of it. But that's Capatalism I guess, American Dream my arse.

But now I have All policies (6) come due at the same time Nov 1 and that is a huge chunk of $ on my Discover card. They are unwilling to readjust the renewal date to break it up some. Their answer is Pay Monthly as their Rates of Monthly vs 6 Months do do not differ
State Farm tends to be pretty competitive in ND. Two companies I would consider are Nationwide and Auto Owners

question? If my insurance lapsed (discontinued when my car became inoperable) can I still get insurance in Texas. Thank in advance for advise/JJ
Having a lapse in coverage won’t exclude you from being able to get insurance but it will cost more for the first 6 months.
Awesome video - thank you!
What if you file a claim but they said they can't pay for it because it was a wear and tear but they still put it as an accident on your driving record and your insurance goes up by $100
What was the claim you filed?
Even offered video proof and was told it wasnt "necessary"
Omg! This happened to us after we filed our claim on our 5th wheel after hurricane Ian and they didn’t pay due to “ wear and tear” and after Idalia we’re in a huge mess now! Most companies will allow you to be added to a policy if you live in the same household.
So, you need to have your credit report pulled Everytime you get a quote?
Not exactly, most companies do a soft hit which doesn’t pull your actual credit. It’s just used the last reported data - it shouldn’t affect your actual credit.
@@ThinkInsuranceThank you so much, I appreciate your response. Your video is very informative and helpful. 😊
So if it based on risk why are college graduates getting a discount and members of random organizations that’s so messed up
When it comes to safety features, my car has all the bells and whistles, like active break assist, active lane keeping assist, active distance assist, and the list goes on.
If they have them applied automatically then anti-theft shouldnt show up either like the rest
If you have a smaller company insurance ask for a copy of all your policy coverage information including policy discounts because thats usually what they do when they bring in customers that they think have little knowledge on insurance policies, less discounts and more hidden fees
Try State Farm or Allstate if you havent already, i have Allstate and they have many easy things you can do to get good discounts especially if you have one of the four premium policies, an Allstate agent isnt just going to say its already included leaving you in doubt, theyre going to show you the numbers first thing, because numbers dont lie
Or maybe you have a base model car and looked up the features of the premium model instead
Those items are expensive to repair if an accident occurs. Bumper damage with those add ons adds up quick. Insurance gets your safety features from your Vin.

How does insurance companies give you a rate if you are road tripping?
You normally will have a permanent address and they will rate for that location. Unless it’s changed most to all companies don’t have a specific policy that caters to year or longer traveling.
If they do the ones I’ve worked with simply rate the primarily residence and that all
here is the big bonus by me - ALWAYS ASK YOUR EDUCATION LEVEL THEY PUT IT IN THEIR SYSTEM - HIGHER YOUR EDUCATION LOWER IS YOUR RATE ------ TRY .

Hey trying to lower my car insurance
Just a clarification question. So, When you said "the professor was 10% higher," did you mean the professor paid 10% more the premium or the professor got a 10% more discount. I think you meant the former, but I want to double check (as I'm a professor).
In that scenario a professor discount over a teacher discount was 10% more expensive.
Each company rates it differently but I would check if teacher is cheaper
@@ThinkInsurance I think you just confused him/her more.

There’s a couple of reasons you’re getting the higher quote. One of them, most likely being, infinity is titles and registers as a performance vehicle as well as, the cost of repairs are considerably higher. They are known to be more expensive to insure.

Why can’t we self insure like corporations can?
Capitalism at its finest. Make a law that requires people to pay for a service
Sadly single renters with one car don’t get much
Insurance rates wouldnt be so high if theyd stop handing out licenses like candy.

I'm sorry but insurance is such a freaking racket, and I'm talking insurance of ALL kinds pretty much, but especially auto and health. You pay a stupid amount every month for car insurance that can vary TREMENDOUSLY just based on which company you go to. HOW is that legal or just?? And then if you're anyone other than a lawyer, you can't possibly sort through the pages and pages of legalese written by the country's best and most skilled lawyers and legal experts that is designed to maximize the amount of profit for the company, and keep the amount of money paid out to policy holders as low as legally allowed, thereby keeping the company's bottom line as the priority.
