    This was pretty brilliant! I thought I was watching the documentary channel... My favorite Honda is the CBX 6 cylinder, it just sounds awesome, like a formula one car.

    I like the honorable mention of "diversifying " and i understand that your were specifically speaking on the lineage an innovation of motorcycles but it is worth mentioning that honda also invented the recreational/sport of ATV riding and racing in 1969-70 and family-ized it in another great campaign of advertising of the ATC and hondaline accessories to go with the ATC line... now i know there was dune buggies and alsport trisport vehicles but the the honda US90 was to the the atv world what the super cub was to motorcycling

    Thoroughly enjoyed, thanks Rod. Of course it doesn't hurt that I'm a Honda Nut!
    Now if I had to add an iconic model to the list it would have to be the motorcycle most motorcyclists first threw a leg over including myself.
    The Honda mini trail Z50

      Hi Frank, Yes my first bike was a Z50 as well, I was 7. We lived in a city and I could only ride it while my Dad was in the garage up and down the alley until the neighbors complained... Thanks for the feedback & View!

    I have 3 more recent Honda motorcycles, each also filling a nieche in the world market. My 2014 CB1100 takes the aircooled inline 4 cylinder to a new level with fuel injection and a smoothness doing all things well. My VFR 1200F is the most powerful sports touring motorcycle made in 2010 with 170HP, shaft drive, fly-by-wire fuel injection, liquid cooling, single sided swingarm and a host of improvements. In March of 2023 I purchased a Honda Grom which will reintroduce the younger generation to motorcycles and build a new base for future sales. It will also provide the world with an extremely efficient, reliable form of transportation in lesser developed countries. It also supplies elderly riders with an easier to maneuver way to enjoy riding as well

      @Rod Rides & Wrenches got an 87 1500 Goldwing myself. She's my baby.
      Would love an 1800 newer model to go with it, but I can't afford one at the moment. 😁👍

    I enjoyed many amazing rides on my CB750 F2. Now own an ST1300. What a pity Honda stopped making the ST.
    A legendary bike that could have been even better with a few modern tweaks that could, undoubtedly, again outwit the competition as far as sports tourers are concerned.

    Very fun video. Thanks for the rich history of Honda. Was that a CTX1300 in your garage? What are your thoughts on it if it is?

    • @RodRidesWrenches
      @RodRidesWrenches  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback & the view! No CTX1300, I have a bit of an issue with that bike since it was part of the demise of Honda's legendary ST1300.

    Honda desperately needs a new machine to set themselves apart from the competition. The competition has caught up in fit, finish, reliability and at a better price. Innovation is non-existent. We need a new V4, small displacement I4 (heck even entry level two cylinder). Maybe electric. Let's go Honda.
