I made an OTK deck that only has 1 minion (prophet Velen). But it's wild. It has like 80% winrate. Pretty stupid. there are a couple of ways to kill: 1: resurrect - resurrect - eternal servitude - mind blast = 10 mana, 40 damage 2: res - res - blast - blast = 8 mana 40 damage 3: res - servitude - blast - blast =10 mana 40 damage 4: res - res - embrace the shadows - flash heal - flash heal = 8 mana 40 damage 5: res - servitude - embrace - heal - heal = 10 mana 40 damage 6: res - res - blast - embrace - heal- heal = 10 mana 40 damage and if you include spells copied by shadow vision, you can do a lot more combos like res-res-res-blast-blast=80dmg. I can't even write down every combination. Every now and then 1 prophet will survive a turn, then you can easily do 80 or even 160 damage. Other than that you just put in removal spells and shadow essence and mass dispels. the later is because it's the only spel based card draw and you don't want minions. It is more reliable than multi minion versions I tried but if you want to include other minions then I recommend emperor thaurissan, mirage caller, onyx bishop, herald volazj, barnes. This can fail more often but its arguably more fun. Gives you more damage output and you can do some sort of combo multiple turns. It's not hard to get 4 Velens on the board. But the Vellen solo minion deck is by far the most reliable. The best counter for that version though is playing ice block ASAP but you can still win vs that.
yes polymorph can be bad since resurrect can give you a sheep but you can still win. you can summon 2x 5/5 copies of velen and then the real one too. And people don't tend to polymorph a 5/5 minion anyway, unless they know what's going on. I only remember loosing vs polymorph and a couple of aggro hunters. But yea, I played at low rank (17 or something) and also casual. It just has a high win rate even for that rank and considering how easy to play it is and it just feels very reliable compared to other decks. But it's kinda of a boring asshole deck. Probably sucks suddenly loosing from full health and the enemy has empty board and doesn't matter how you played. Mostly just play it out of curiosity, how strong can this no skill deck be?
This deck is so fun to play, ive been experimenting with Diamond Spellstone for some more boardcontroll and found it helpfull when you get bad RnG. Lemme know what you think
Jordan Wang there really isn't much to teach. You need to have a grasp on what cards synergize with eachother, and if possible with your heropower. Being successful at playing the game relies on you knowing what your opponent might have in his deck and hand, and how likely it is, that he has that card, to determine, what's your best play. Learning to handtrack helps a lot, too
