What are the best cats for charter on the market? Ranging 250-400k? Also what’s the average maintenance cost for a cat per year in terms of value of the boat itself? Say 5% / yr + a big maintenance every 10yr (not guessing just an example)?
...when you say "$10/foot/month, behind a home" ... do you mean that if I own a home on a canal with a dock, I still have to pay extra for my own slip? Or are you saying that's the going rate that someone with a private dock would charge me to keep my boat there?... or at a public marina??? Thanks Gary!
$10/foot/month is the going rate for storing behind a private home in Florida IF you book in the "low season". If you show up on December 1st you will not find this rate. This is the price you pay the homeowner to store the yacht there. No liveaboards allowed behind most houses because it is not zoned for that.
