When my Air Pump locked up in 1994 on my 85 380 SL I just cut the belt and didn't even think about it until I saw this video, It may be about Time to Address this ! I have only replaced the Radiator and Muffler in thirty six years what a great car it has been !
Nice job! Looks like the belts on my '84 (SEL) were done by the previous owner, but good to know that's it's not a difficult DIY job when the time comes. Thanks for posting!
What sort of wrench did you use to remove the single 17mm tensioner bolt? Mine appears to be 19mm and the pulley prevents the use of a socket. It is defying my best efforts to loosen it :-(
I think a regular wrench. www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-19-mm-12-Point-Metric-Ratcheting-Combination-Wrench-HRW19MM/204761733?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-RM-RMP-GGL-D25H-Multi-NA-HUSKY__APEX_TOOL-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-MK863029001-24430-NBR-3350-NA-VNT-FY24_Q1_Q4_ApexToolGroupLlc_D25H_RM__ES_AON&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-RM-RMP-GGL-D25H-Multi-NA-HUSKY__APEX_TOOL-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-MK863029001-24430-NBR-3350-NA-VNT-FY24_Q1_Q4_ApexToolGroupLlc_D25H_RM__ES_AON-71700000117790000--&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmOm3BhC8ARIsAOSbapV861jmokatXsqWQO9t7fZolnnTXHqy769n-WY9F58Q6TYVCXJO3jIaAo9NEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
@@mericavids I don’t think so.. I’ve heard that it’s 1800 bucks and I have to recharge it regularly. I’m in Los Angeles with the top down. Don’t need it. Let me know if it’s an easy fix

I see you have a fancy car with everything.
Mine only runs 3 belts as the air pump was already removed before I got it and the A/C didn't have a belt
My AC belt is just for show. My AC doesn’t work.
@@sophiathe380sl Looking forward to the A/C video then
