I was a server in Missouri for four years. The first 3.5 years I was bringing home $57/60,000 a year, but I never received a paycheck from my employer. The last 6 months that I was there, the business slowed down significantly and that year I made $37,000. Servers really do depend on tips if we want to make more than minimum wage. Especially if we’re paying $1,200 a month for a 600 square foot apartment. 😔
16:10 that’s true- if you take 2/hr and make tips, employers must pay minimum wage. The thing is, minimum wage is like 7.25 where I live, which is not even CLOSE to remotely livable, so servers still depend on tips unless laws get passed to raise the minimum wage
Had our Firstborn caught in the magic long past expectations. Second born is on the spectrum and offered an alternate perspective. She didn’t really like the Santa visit but the ambiance was something she enjoyed. The last time we took her to visit him, she didn’t want to sit on his knee, fairs, anyway she’s non verbal but can string some words together(usually with a swear word or two for context). As we’re leaving he says ‘Make sure you’re sound asleep for when I come down the chimney’. She screamed and shouts ‘What f*ck for!! Dad! Give him key!’ , points at Santa and says ‘You go door, no chimneys!’ Omg, I nearly wet myself but she went on about no chimneys until Christmas Day 😂.
"if you fall short on your tips, then they just pay you anyway" is CRAAAZY. no they DONT lmao, absolutely not. to clarify, im speaking about the US. in many states in the US, food servers are paid well BELOW MINIMUM WAGE and are meant to make the rest in TIPS. people live off their tips, thats where their money comes from. thats why people want to work dinner rush and weekends, because if you have a slow shift, oops you just made $5.75 an hour for a full shift. inb4 "thats illegal" no its not. thats the problem. thats why she said to pay people a living wage and stop making them ask for tips, because they literally get paid BELOW the federal minimum wage.
You're wrong. The minimum wage in the US is 8 dollars per hr, so 5 dollars per shift is illegal but employers can choose to get paid below minimum wage usually at 2 dollars so they can get tips and if it's not enough they get paid back though everyone chooses tip over minimum wage because of cost of living crisis.
@@nanobots9550 im not wrong. there are jobs that are allowed to pay below federal minimum wage if they can theoretically earn the difference in tips. its different in different states. when my mother waited tables in Chicago in the early 00s she was paid an hourly wage of around $3 dollars-- well below federal minimum wage at that time. in washington, that was not the case because of state laws. there is a reason tipping is considered mandatory in the US. its because employers dont pay a living wage and instead make them rely on tips.
This is hilarious..when I was in my early twenties (years ago), I called a restaurant for clarification, because I thought the wages for the waitress job was a typo.😂😂😂
everyone is beautiful" has been misused and changed over time. Originally, it was supposed to mean that everyone is beautiful to someone. The idea was that no matter what you look like, there is someone in this world who thinks you are beautiful.
The “magic of Santa” comes from the parents. The parents put the big emphasis on Santa. If you want Santa to be a thing but not a main focus, give him a smaller role in Christmas. They can believe that he brings a random give to good kids and everything else comes from the parents. Just depends on how you present it.

4:22 I remember seeing that ep of ink masters when it premiered and nearly losing my voice from laughing for a solid 35 minutes
Yes! Literally had to pause it to rooooooollllllll 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
18:40 I do not understand where she is coming from at all 😂 I had my baby because I wanted a family, not for any other reason than that. The fact that she's saying she wants his body to change because hers has to.. Girl just don't have kids 😂
I think that the point is that she really doesn't want kids and she was making an argument that her man can understand as too how much things would change if she had one for him.
@@Betsunokudasai. Yeah, that’s what I understood from her and some others who made similar statements.
I agree with her, women give up alot when they give birth. If a man wanted to he could just abandon her and the baby and start a new life easily.
@@Neesi392 The idea is that you find a partner worth spending your life with and find to have the qualities you desire, if your man makes you worried and anxious about starting a family, leave or work it out, its on you.
@@BrookMaboyi That is the idea, but unfortunately it doesn’t always work out that way. A lot of people are playing the long game, and they play it really well. It’s terrifying.
Re: Friends, for us older folks who were watching it one episode at a time, it had us in its clutches!! We were hooked!! It was fire at the time!
Right at 22:14 is when I died laughing. The looks of pure sadness, disappointment and overall disbelief with how lost that soul was. Gold.
Hearing James go on about Christmas was so wholesome.
A sigh of relief when Fuhad came back to his senses "F.R.I.E.N.D.S is lit, f**k what you heard"😁😁
Saved me from boredom 🔥🔥
19:20 Errr...Bro, the forever ting you should be bringing to the table is MARRIAGE! 😂🤣
There’s some % of tipping that goes to the cooking crew too and we love it.
Lowkey Ross is an honourable mention when it comes to funny characters
I’ve watched friends maybe 784 times per episode and I am a Ross hater to my core, throw that whole man away lmfao

Lmaoo aye yo “can you pick me up?” “I don’t think so” took me tf out 😭😭
Why did she hold onto Fillmore's head like a basketball 🤣🤣
😂😂😂
This comment deserves more likes. IYKYK
16:09 Not Fuhad casually giving us the Nigerian "mxxm"😂
i caught that too 😭😭😭
I love the editors comments on these videos, I hope they never stop
16:10 that’s true- if you take 2/hr and make tips, employers must pay minimum wage. The thing is, minimum wage is like 7.25 where I live, which is not even CLOSE to remotely livable, so servers still depend on tips unless laws get passed to raise the minimum wage
23:12 “PIVOT!!, PIVOT!!!” Chandler and Ross moving the couch
Monica: why is your family Scottish??!!
Chandler: why is YOUR family Ross??!!!
Never fails to crack me up 😂
Had our Firstborn caught in the magic long past expectations.
The double homicide clip will always be iconic😭🙌😂😂😂
The thing about restaurants giving below minimum wage, they should sell their food below market price too, no???
@@galaxyvictoriano9999 you just repeated what I said with more evidence to support my claim.
@@nanobots9550 nah
This is hilarious..when I was in my early twenties (years ago), I called a restaurant for clarification, because I thought the wages for the waitress job was a typo.😂😂😂

The simultaneous mouth opening at 1:48 and Rem's comments😂😂
Sent me fam 😂
I did it too 😂
That ice cream thing is not in America, that’s like turkey or something 😂😂😂 no one in America is sitting that long for ice cream.
Where are yall going where you are REQUIRED to tip?! Lmao it’s a cultural norm not a law.
I am LOVINGGG the friends banter 😂😂😂
By that woman's logic, the fact that she got approached told her everything she needed to know. 😂
21:24 Literally my husband. He told my oldest 2 years ago that Santa isn't real because he felt like he was getting to unappreciative... smh.
everyone is beautiful" has been misused and changed over time. Originally, it was supposed to mean that everyone is beautiful to someone. The idea was that no matter what you look like, there is someone in this world who thinks you are beautiful.
0:38 Im out!
The way you both looked at each other when that santa one come up and she stripped that piece of eyebrow off made me laugh
The “magic of Santa” comes from the parents. The parents put the big emphasis on Santa. If you want Santa to be a thing but not a main focus, give him a smaller role in Christmas. They can believe that he brings a random give to good kids and everything else comes from the parents. Just depends on how you present it.
