Quality wise you can't really go wrong with either the 300m or the 1000m version, both are professional dive watches and Seiko has a reputation to keep. Fun fact, the 1000m titanium version is wider and taller, but also about 5 grams lighter than the steel 300m version (about 120 vs 125 grams),
This video helped push me over the edge. My 025 is is somewhere over the Pacific, on its way from the land of the rising sun as I type. Should pair very nicely with my 031.... Like a kid at Christmas over here!
Cool watch. Too heavy for my wrist, unfortunately. I have a gold solar tuna, but I wrecked it, the crown is too exposed and it got knocked and bent. That's one thing I don't like about this type of design.
I own the SBBN013. never selling it. here's the crazy part. had since new from 2013-ish... battery is still going. I also own the spring drive tuna. Amazing piece. not sure which one I like better. Darth Tuna is something special I have to say. If you are into saturation divers, you ow it to yourself to own a MM 1000. It is so good!
Hi watchgeek, Your videos are honestly excellent, you’ve helped me get to grips with several watches the best being the gwg-1000 1a3er, so thank you for that. I wanted to ask about this watch.. is it battery operated ? Also, how much could I pick up a tuna for? You said there’s a 300m version I presume that will be cheaper, could you advise me pls
Beautiful Darth ! The L shaped gasket under the crystal allows it to " sip " HELIOX in SAT , I've never seen one blow ;) The dates on the caseback show build date and 5 yr battery change intervals , congratulations.... Never sell it ;)
@@ComicalSatania No, you might be thinking of ceramic. Carbon cases are tough and very light. I think they ran a tank over the victorinox INOX carbon to prove its durability. G shock makes a line of carbon core watches as well.
It was a running joke on the channel after i opened one with old scissors as I couldn't find anything else close by, so decided to use knives and cutting tools as inappropriate as possible, UNTIL one of you surprised me with a gift, a swiss army knife

I don't usually like a bigger watch but recently they're starting to grow on me especially this one.
To me this is the only true diver of this era......beautiful watch in the most tool like way
Your "wow" was off the charts. A new record. Enjoy.
What a superb watch!
Though I’ve had a bad experience with my seiko kinetic not charging back up, I’d still have a solar or battery seiko. 👍
Beautiful and love how the second hand hits all the indices dead on, great unboxing....Keep it or you might regret it later, I know I would.

Great decision on the GA-2100. I have two black out versions. This is also lovely. Cheers!
I'll be making a Royal Oak mod so stay tuned
@@WatchGeek I will indeed stay tuned. Look forward to it. Cheers!

The solar tuna compared to these models is night and day in build quality and qc. They’re basically a cheaper knockoff of the real thing in a way.

Awesome watch bro! Also, you need to get a Spyderco delica for the boxes! Haha, it’s a great edc slicer
It would be actually cooler if it had the Monster hands... those hands are I think the same as the SBDC061/063.
I used to have one of these - a proper dive watch and with so much class and ruggedness - something a marine biologist would wear
The seconds hand hits the markers precisely! That's a BIG win imo 👍👍

Yes, almost all tunas except the emperor are battery powered, the 300m can be had from 800 to 1.500 USD depending on condition
@@WatchGeek that’s very helpful, thanks WG !
Great vid cheers and really good point regarding wrist rotation narrowing the wrist.
Also this model with the black/white and no other colours and this hand set looks glorious.
Great review! Soooo....do you still have it? I love my sbbn031 but I love this watch.
I am surprised to see you having this. Congrats for new Tuna 👍
Even I feel happy only seeing it through a hi-def video, good for you my friend getting the Tuna SBBN025 😁

Looks great, fully understand the slip-up ... Just one more watch!
I think you just felt in love... Your voice say everithing!!! Thanks for share an amazing watch.
It's big however it doesn't look flashy
I never gave more thought about this kind of watches. But after this video, wow just wowww.
Move over Arnie got a Marine Master 1000 coming through.
Nice purchase there. I'm really pleased for you and I like it myself.
Congrats mate. Excellent choice. Enjoy it and please keep it. 😃
Εσύ πως και από που αγορασες το δικο σου; Από άλλη χώρα και το φέρανε σε εσένα;
Awesome! Congrats on the new Tuna👍
Thanks 😊
Seems like they are trying to make dive watches that replace the weight belt as well
Well actually this is lighter than most dive watches out there, including the Rolex Submariner, as it's made out of titanium. I think it is about 115g
It sounds like you are tearing up with excitement. If that doesn't make us all want one I'm not sure what will.
Im too hard on my watches for pvd or dlc coated pieces. I was thinking of looking into a carbon shell watch though. Maybe victorinox or squale
Don't carbon cases break kinda easily

@@UnburdenedByWhatHasBeen Oh damn thanks for telling me, always thought they looked cool but was put off because I thought they broke easily
Ending 2020 with a bang. What a beast of a watch.
I couldn't tell if you liked this watch or not?! LOL 🤣😆.
It looks awesome! Easy to understand.
Looks fantastic! Congratulations!
As a watch guy…👌🏻😎👌🏻
As a knife guy…🤦🏻♂️
It does look a little large.... but who cares if it feels good and makes you happy.
You want small? Get a '50s Omega Constellation 😁
That lume truly is nuclear! Great watch!
This monster is looking much more monster on your 6" wrist😂
Looks like some one has just repaired it with an old wheel bearing out race not for me
Thats what happens when engineers design a watch, form follows function
Seiko! 💪 I loved the divers but not too familiar with the line up. I love the gshock too tis why I have a ga700 😂 They kinda look alike imo..
Whats your wrist size?
6,7" when that was recorded, it is now 6.5
@@WatchGeek Oops, you did mention that at 5:05 :P Are you still as happy with the watch?
You need a better knife to open your boxes. Thanks for the review.
Definitely keep it!
Wow I love it Congratulations !!!! Its one of my favorite watches.
Owner of Street series blue :) With TUNA go nuts :)
Omg 1000m ? ...thats insane ...true sea king !
Looks great. Tunas are fun fun fun.
Congrats. It's definitely a keeper.
Suuuupeer cool watch! I always wanted one of these.
Sound like love at first sight really great looking watch WOW
toooo big for daily. it is only a diver's watch. if the size reduce to 42mm, will be very very good.
Still looks a bit big IMO
Someone get a first aid kit
Sweet! Love that Beautiful watch......
I have emperor Tuna SBDX013 new for sale if you are interested!
My grail watch. Awesome one.
Very nice and congratulations on your find👍🍻
Buy yourself a Civivi or something.. that knife is depressing
Haha I know 🤣
The SBDX029 is better looking.
Damn I love Seikos
Fantastic
Review gshock mtg b2000
Great video
You need to get yourself a better knife!
Hahaha so true
Btw your knife needs sharpening lol
i first thought this was a smartwatch review ... 🥵
when I saw a HGSPOT wrapping
nice channel
Opening a box with a steak knife. Keep it classy. 🤡

Very nice. :-)
I dont like tunas nor the turtles. Ugly watches. I like the marine master lx series and i like Oris aquis.
Even BALL that goes 3000 meters.

On first sight 🤮 but over the time...i love it
