You will always know if an iguana is unhappy with what you're doing, they can be kind an loving pets but they arent ones to tolerate being disrespected.
@@leeann7777While I don't know much about reptiles, I know this much about animals. They are NOT shy in expressing pain, aggression, etc. They're VERY blunt. The iguana just took a couple steps away, probably either feeling some slight discomfort or possibly even to try to "help" in getting the dry skin off. If he was hurting the animal, it would be fighting to get away. Hissing, clawing, biting, and trying like mad. Two slow calm steps don't signify that at all.
He is totally fine y'all. Obviously he freaking loves his owner helping him shed. I know it had to feel so relieving. And if he didn't like it, he would've most likely whipped with his tail or given some indication that he was not happy.

I just have to say that iguana is loving that and no iguana is going to let a person peel their skin if they did not enjoy it. That iguana totally trust its owner and caretaker and I could see it sure does get a lot of sunshine and it is totally enjoying that it’s getting groomed and it knows that the person that’s doing thatIs carefully removing each piece understand sometimes you just get those little pieces that might not be quite ready but they still come off too but I enjoyed watching This TH-cam video and my opinion is that one is being really well taken care of and 100% trust the person that’s peeling gets layer of shedding skin off😊

In fact, Rocket looked like he was almost asleep, his eyes were about shut and he isn't even chewing that kettuce in his mouth. Feels soo good. I bet it is itchy. He's such a beautiful color, he's got great eyes and that pretty pink tongue of his is so cute when he takes a lettuce leaf off his plate. You can tell he loves his Dad!

He seems he knows exactly what he's doing. As long as the shedding skin is very loose it is ok to assist. Pieces that are still tight leave be. I do this for my dragons.

I work like 10 hours a day every day, are they animals that can stay home alone for long periods of time? And if so, do I just leave them roaming around? I ask because I’d to get a pet, but I don’t wanna be cruel and get an animal that needs me in short periods of time, like a dog for example.
He is such a well-behaved. Guana, you really locked out when you got hit Montana and he locked. Out getting you with an owner. Because you take very good care of him. And a church. I wish there were 20000 more of you for the emperor guanas that don't have anybody who gives a care in the world. They don't care when they shoot them. They don't they don't care. I just wish I'd you know they didn't ask to BY invasive species. Hopefully think we'll try around and change for them with more people like you in the world that just might happen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Does Rocket ever scratch his own shed off? Like does he ever get the spikes off? I’d love to touch this boy, he is such a fascinating creature.. I don’t know how anyone would know but does this dry shed itch him?
Some reptiles are what they call "dry shedders" and bathing them doesn't actually help the shedding process. The skin needs to be dry so it can "flake" and then fall off and/or get rubbed/pulled off depending on the area of the body and if they require help or not.

reminds me of when I was a kid I use to put elmer's school glue on my hand let it dry just so I can peel it 😂
