    I think it's Outside Pride that has a mini clover that would work in the damp area instead of grass. Of course has the seasonal little blooms and is a nitrogen fixer. Invades just a tiny bit but is on runners that are super easy to pull. I don't even mow mine. Just edge the border.

      Thanks for the info! And of course the rabbits would love the clover (would rather have them eat that, than my other plants!),

      I’m zone 4B, working on changing my grass to clover and I love it. Great for the pollinators and the deer will eat it and tend to leave my plants alone 😅

    Love the sounds of the water. Lovely garden! Such a big difference in timing from my zone 8b garden. Never give up on your hibiscus, they are always the last to wake up.

    Love your wire cloches. I’ve been using the Dollar Store mesh baskets. Things are looking good.

    New sub from Minnesota. We say kla-mat-is, too! I need two clematis to climb an arbor with my roses. I just bought a rhodie recently. I tried one a few years ago and it disappeared without a trace from my garden by the following Spring. Strangest thing ever! So fingers crossed this time 'round. 🤞 Love your waterfall and the cottage house on top. I've got a sizable collection of houses the same size as yours, but I've never thought of placing them in the garden. How fun! I use them for a snow village in the house. Love the name Milkweed & Roses, btw! We used to have rabbits clipping off our tulips blooms and leaving them where they fell. So maddening! Our solution was putting up a green 4 ft wire fence for a few seasons and then took it done. We haven't had trouble since. Did you have a mild winter in Iowa? Our winter in MN was probably the mildest ever recorded. We got a taste of what a southern winter must be like hitting 70F in February and loads of 50's from Nov - Apr!

      So good to hear from you! I like the idea of putting up a fence until the rabbits get so frustrated they learn to find food sources elsewhere. Yes, it was such a mild winter (except for a couple weeks of -20) but I see plants coming back that previous years didn’t show up in the spring. So, we’ll see. Yes, the rhododendron is looking good. Fingers crossed it all works well! Happy gardening!

    I put my clematis in an arch last year the only problem was all the blooms were on top of the arch so I didn't get to see them like I normally do. I had envisioned blooms all up the arch and in top. I moved the arch this year and put a trellis back in place.

      @MilkweedsNRosesGardener  หลายเดือนก่อน

      What type of clematis is it? Does it bloom early (on old wood) or late season (new wood)? Or a combo? I have all three types and the flowers come on different parts of the stems, depending on what type of clematis I have and (frankly) how bad my winter was that year. I hope you have better luck with your blooms this year!

    At 3:52, where did you find your gardening stool? I have major spine, neck. Issues. This appears doable. ❤

      Oh gosh, I have to be honest-that’s an outdoor speaker. A Bose (hubby tells me-that’s his thing). The angle shown in the video makes it look like a stool but it’s just the speaker. Hope you find something that works--I have back issues as well. Take care!
