I just got the Hellcat Pro. After having carried other pistols- including the Glock 26 and Sig P365x, I find the slim design and longer grip of the hellcat pro perfect for concealability and accurate shooting.
@@denniskennedy3311 at least look up specs before making a comment. The P365 is 1.1” thick whereas the HCP is 1” thick. Im not great at math but that looks like its the opposite of slimmer….
So you fired all the 3000 rounds with the same recoil spring? I am asking this to know for how long recoil spring lasts regardless of recommended number of shots...is it still working fine or you replaced the spring
thank you for helping out a first time gun buyer who's just looking to EDC. Your videos are concise, easy to understand, and most importantly NOT SPONSORED! Thank you!
Well I do have some companies that I work with but it’s not like a lot of other channels that promote products that they don’t actually use. I actually turn down a lot of sponsorship deals because if it’s a product I wouldn’t use there’s no amount of money that’s going to make me try and sell it to my viewers
@@360TacticalSolutions I was talking more specifically about the hellcat videos I watched where you said you bought your own hellcat pro, but I really appreciate the honesty and the response! Looking forward to more content you put out!
@@smilintroll oh ya there’s a lot of shady stuff that goes on. The Echelon was the big one. I can’t believe how many channels took the promo package from Springfield and then gave the most disingenuous revues on it. I lost a lot of respect for a lot of content creators over that gun
Recently purchased a Hellcat pro for my birthday, I am only at 200 rounds but appreciate your breakdown of the upgrade options. I am considering the trigger and red dot optic.
I’d say price wise a great upgrade is the Talon Pro grips. $25 and if you don’t like them they aren’t permanent. After that trigger and optic. Now if you go with an optic make sure and ask any questions you have, I’m happy to help. Best place is Optics Planet though they give my viewers a discount when they use my 360TS discount code. Same thing for the Apex trigger, same code. How are you liking the gun so far?
I got a hellcat pro OSP with gear up bundle with 2 15 round mags, 3 17 round magazines, a viridian green dot optic and a range bag for free after $620 for the gun itself. Imo that's the best deal of the market right now so hurry and grab it.
Do you have to buy the pistol from the website or simply enter your serial number and purchase date? It was a bit open-ended and confusing for me to understand how to get the deal. Thanks!
@st3v3n3aker no sir. I bought mine at a local gun shop they happened to already have the gear up bundle packages at the store to give out with the purchase but if your local store doesn't you can after purchase go onto springfields website, put in your serial number and purchase date and they will mail you the bag, magazines, and green dot optic.
1000 rounds through my Hellcat Pro. Installed the Apex type 3 trigger and a Crimson Trace CTRad Micro Pro red dot (3 MOA, cowitness, no plates). Flawless weapon so far. I am thinking about the Talon grips as well. Thanks for all of your valuable information.
Well I have shot both and I definitely think the HCP is the best carry gun on the market. It fills all the boxes for me. Hopefully my videos help with some thoughts and insight
Excellent video! I just purchased the Hellcat Pro Comp and your reviews helped me with the decision-making process. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
The shield rmsc that came on my Hellcat pro comp mounts directly to my slide with no need for plates. I have no problem staying with that footprint if it fails and I have to replace it. One thing that makes me glad is that all initial reports show these hell at line of pustols to be durable and fairly reliable so far.
I believe I am up to 15k rounds through this gun. I have another one that hasn’t had any modifications and that guy is at 8k rounds. I have 4 total Hellcat Pro’s and none of them have had an issue through the high round counts I put through them
ive fired like 3,000 rounds through my Hellcat pro , and not a single malfunction has occurred. However, I'm torn between the P365 with a Wilson Combat xl grip and the P365 with the Macro grip. I believe they offer a smoother shooting experience compared to the Hellcat Pro. I'm more accurate with them, but I do trust the Hellcat Pro more. I also own the regular Hellcat, and I prefer the P365 with the Wilson Combat XL grip. One thing to mention is that the screws on the Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro, used for holding the optic, seem better and more robust. I trust them more because I've had some issues with the screws on my P365. If Springfield were to make the Hellcat modular like the Sig P365 and the Echelon, I think it would be a home run, in my opinion. I also don't think the Hellcat Pro is as snappy as people on the internet say it is. I find it controllable, especially since it's chambered in 9mm. However, I understand that controlling recoil can be challenging for some individuals. Ultimately, it all comes down to what works best for you. One thing I don't like about the trigger guard is that it's super uncomfortable for me. It rubs against my knuckles when I shoot it. Now, for concealed carry, and hopefully never having to use it for self-defense (I really hope so), I don't think it's a problem. If I do have to use it, I don't think the trigger guard will be an issue. However, going to the range with this gun and shooting a couple of hundred rounds is not that comfortable for me
Probably one of the best comments ive seen in a long time and I agree all around. I tested both the Macro and the HCP and only found the Macro to be slightly smoother for me. The grip for the HCP was more comfortable in my hand which I believe is why my experience was what it was. I then balanced the recoil difference between the two guns vs the price...and the HCP was the clear winner in my eye. Everything boils down to individual use and preference. I always want people to live fire before buying a gun. You wouldn't believe some of the conversations ive had with other creators and the dirty stuff that goes on behind the scenes. Watch a dozen reviews but don't take them too seriously. Use them as a what to look out for when you test the gun for yourself. The Echelon review will be up sometime in the next two weeks if I can get it edited. I was thinking the same thing. I expect Springfield to launch a HCP 2.0 or whatever in the next year or so. Modular platforms are going to be the big thing. Id like to see a modular HCP with a similar optic mount like the Echelon. Hopefully without the same mag catch mechanism as the Echelon because I don't think thats going to last long term.
Yep...I e been saying the hellcat pro in a modular configuration would be absolutely awesome...I guess we can wish..but im fairly certain that would make too much sense for Springfield...even still I love mine
Unfortunately im in a mag restricted state and they dont have one with 10rd mags yet. Luckily I bought my HCP just before our mag ban and bought a bunch of spare mags
You’ve taken your Pro to the next, next level! I’m trying to catch up with you! The Floyd’s porting is next on my list! You have an amazing carry gun, thanks for the video!
I loved the stock grip for shooting, and IWB carry for about 30 minutes. Anything longer, and the grip started rubbing my skin raw. I don't have that problem with the more rubber like Talon grip I put on a few weeks ago.
@@ace101ification I believe $25 so when they wear out it’s not a big deal to replace. Those are the Talon Pro grips. Talon also makes one called granulate and a rubber one as well. Granulate is an aggressive sandpaper type grip. I like the Pro version
I just received my Packin Holster based on this video. Best decision I have made in a while. Outstanding attention to detail. Unrelenting customer service. This guy Ed who IS Packin Holsters is amazing. He has earned my future business, that is for sure.
I just text him a screenshot of your comment. I really do get a lot of feedback from people who feel the same once they get their holster in hand. Some people dont want to go through him because he doesnt have a website to order from. They want the same order experience as every other company. They end up missing out on something way better than the big box stores can offer
Just got back from the range yesterday where my friend brought his new optic-ready Hellcat 4" ("OSP" I think its called), and I brought my EDC stock Shield Plus Performance Center 3" (with an Armalaser grip-activated "laserguard"). The stock Hellcat trigger is not ready for prime time IMO. I am not a good shot by any means, but even at rapid fire I shot tighter groups at 20 ft and 30 ft than the Hellcat (by either of us shooting it); both with and without using my laser. And God bless my buddy, but when shooting his Hellcat for the first time yesterday, he couldn't get a group within 5 inches with it's stock Ironsights (u-notch and nightsight) and mush-tastic trigger. Admittedly my grip-activated laser,
I think one thing to throw into this comment as a reminder is that you are shooting your own gun against a gun you arent at all familiar with. Obviously im going to shoot my gun that ive ran mag after mag through better than I would one that I just picked up today and took to the range. The Shield Plus PC has a chance at greatness but there are downfalls. Every one of them should be optic ready like the HCP. You shouldn’t have to buy a specific model, just make them all optic ready and if someone wants to use a dot they can, if not thats cool too but the option should always be there. The next thing is the lack of accessory rail. You may not use a light on your gun but just like the optic, the option should be there. Next is the grip. This gun should come with 15rd mags that are flush fit. There’s no reason to have the short grip. It doesnt aid in concealment. The guns thickness makes more of a difference than the grip length and if my pinkie grips on to the mag in order to hold the gun thats a problem with mag changes. There’s just no logical reason for it. The wasted potential with the Shield Plus PC is sad. S&W could really do so much more with that gun
@@360TacticalSolutions Very true, and very good points. I practice a lot - and it was both of our first times shooting his gun. Thanks for the feedback.
I just installed the Tyrant ITTS trigger in mine...i was a bit skeptical at first...one would think changing only the trigger shoe would produce a marginal improvement..boy was I surprised absolutely a different gun now.
I enjoy everything bout the Hellcat Pro except how it shoots. It’s seems to beat up my hand after about 50 rounds and it’s not as accurate as my other subcompact firearms. I’ll add Talon grips soon so hopefully that helps a bit. I also may change the trigger because I just don’t like it.. Other than that, it’s easy to conceal, great ergonomics, 15 rounds with the OEM mags (just can’t beat that) and is very well made.. The biggest thing for me is that it has NOT malfunctioned once!! Reliability is huge for me and I’ve found the Hellcat Pro to be very reliable. It hasn’t replaced my 43x as my EDC because I personally think the 43x is better besides capacity but I do carry it about 2 times a week.. That being said, the Hellcat Pro is an excellent option for EDC and home defense..
Try out those Talon grips, they could really help. The HCP has so much going for it. I look forward to the possibility of them doing a new version with the modular trigger group like the Echelon. Thats super high on my wish list lol
11:11 I feel you on the conceal carry. I have carried my smith & Wesson 4506 which is a full size 45 pistol about the size of a 1911. It’s how you wear it and what holster you use
I'm gonna have to check out the hellcat at the range next time. I started with the Sig 365xl. The grip is too skinny and I can't get my left palm on it at all. I switched over to the M&P Shield Plus. I love it so far. The grip is big enough for me to grip it nice. Only thing I don't like is the take down lever, and no one makes a good replacement option for it. I slapped grip tape on it and it helps.
I find it’s always best to live fire test before buying. Personally I love the way the HCP feels in my hand. I have a Hogue grip on mine along with a magwell from Floyds Custom Shop and for my hand, my shooting style it works really well. At the same time I know people who have shot my gun and really struggle with it. It’s all individual preference I guess. Same with the Sig. Some people love those things, I do not lol
I snagged a pro the other day, it came with a crimson trace red dot, I’m not certain how much I like it, it’s always on unless you put the cover on it because it’s ambient light sensitive instead of shake awake. It’s sleek and small and all, and if I recall correctly it’s 2 moa, but I find myself using the irons instead because you can co witness. In regards to the hellcat pro itself I love it, I’m a slim guy and have no issues with imprinting or anything but I’m about to grab an apex trigger because that’s my only complaint about it.
Id definitely go for the Type3 Apex…make sure to use my discount code. Also im no fan of all the time on red dots especially auto adjust. Down the road definitely consider doing a Holosun. The 6 MOA works really well for me
I COMPLETELY agree with you. ALL guns should be optic ready and 15 rounds. My minimum is 12 rounds though. I purchased 2 of the 17 round magazines as soon as they came out. I bought them for the house and to use at the range mostly, but even with them inserted the gun still conceals well. I've been on the fence about getting the gas pedal because of holster fit, but i think that the holster i have now may work with it. It's the Druid from rounded concealment and it has a wedge built into the kydex holster. It comes with a wing to help with concealment and is ambidextrous.
If it has a wedge built in there is a strong possibility it will work with the gas pedal. I may have to get my hands on some of those 17's just because. It's been on my mind a lot these last couple weeks. I might hold off though but only because im balls deep into testing the Echelon and I don't want to get to distracted
@360TacticalSolutions I hear ya. I'm about to build my first AR-15 , but i'm going to go with New Frontier Armory non-reciprocating side charging upper. Like you, i just recently was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and i am trying to make everything that I buy easier for me to use.
lol you must be new to the channel. I’ve been working very closely with Floyd’s through the development of the whole line of HCP products. Here’s my recoil assessment video th-cam.com/video/3HZlqa4Qt64/w-d-xo.html
@360TacticalSolutions I love these hellcat pro videos. I thank you for all the information you have given on this topic and that’s the reason why I’m going to go ahead and get a port job with Floyd’s. The lack of counterbore and 12-14 week lead time with Monsoon’s Hel Port, is also what swayed my decision. Having shoulder surgery last September 2023, it has really affected my grip and has left my right hand, arm, and shoulder really weak. I was able to mitigate and control the recoil of the tiny hellcat micro before, but that’s not the case anymore since after the surgery. I did have some questions for you before I pull the trigger. For the Hellcat micro OSP would you recommend the commander port or the enforcer port and why? IYHO, is it even worth getting the DPM recoil reduction system for the hellcat micro or would getting Floyd’s port job be enough for at least a 30% reduction in recoil? In regard to the gogun gas pedal, do you find that it has helped you with your grip and recoil control? Would it help me since my grip on my right hand is much weaker and is my dominant hand? Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing back from you.
First, let me just say thank you for watching and trusting my judgement, opinion and honesty in my content. I’ve mentioned several times in content that Ive battled with carpel tunnel for a long time. It’s not bad enough for surgery but I get flare ups that can render my hands useless for weeks to months at a time. So when it comes to mitigation of recoil to help get around physical limitations or aggravations I really understand the need for finding those work arounds. Lets see if I can run though those answers without getting too off topic lol. As far as porting goes the two port styles seem very similar as far as how much control over the gun im getting, how much of a decrease in felt recoil im getting. I still need to go do the actual measurements with the two. I dont want to just throw an opinion out based on “feel”. I use the MantisX to measure recoil that way I have actual data for the comparison instead of an arbitrary feeling. From what I can feel at this point though they do seem neck and neck. Some people would say the Enforcer has the advantage because the sights dont get moved but I think thats personal preference. I rely on my dot and worry very little about backup sights but thats me, having the sight moved back doesnt matter to me. Personally it’s going to boil down to the recoil comparison and the velocity testing that im getting ready to perform. I want to know what the stock HCP does with velocity vs the Commander vs the Enforcer. Im leaning toward Enforcer because I suspect it will retain a slightly higher velocity due to its port design. When I come back full time making content next month that will be one of the first couple videos I do. The DPM spring is one that at this point I think its not enough actual reduction to justify its cost. Ive done so much testing on these guns and the more I shoot the more I think the DPM spring is more about adjusting for people who have issues with muzzle dip or other reactionary issues to recoil. In the end you are throwing a considerable amount of money at the gun to get minimal change in performance. If I put a number on it I would realistically call it 5% reduction or less. The gas pedal is a reasonably cost upgrade that really does help me with control over the gun. Ive always found my support thumb has a tendency to slip and slide while im shooting and then I have to adjust my grip. It’s a telltale sign my grip needs improvement. The gas pedal really did help but with two points to mention. First is holsters. You have to be ready to buy a different holster or modify the one you have with a heat gun and potentially mess it up. Second…I hate the texture on the gas pedal. It’s not at all “grippy” so I find the same issue where my thumb wants to slide off while shooting. I bought a $5 roll of grip tape on Amazon and pressed a piece on the gas pedal then trimmed the edges with a razor blade. This made a HUGE difference to how it changes my grip and overall shooting experience. I would give this advice to you. Your grip is everything and in your situation anything you can do to increase your grip while also mitigating recoil is a great thing. Start off by ordering the Talon Pro grip. It’s like $25, easy to put on and if you dont like it you can peel it off pretty easy. I find my hands stick to the gun better with the Talon grips but specifically the Pro ones. They arent going to irritate your skin while carrying but will still increase your grip. Next, porting is a must if you want to decrease recoil…maybe wait till my video testing the two and conclusion comes out. Also consider adding the Floyds magwell. Yes you will need their mag bases because the stock ones wont fit. Video is being made for that product right now. I dont find any issues concealing with the magwell but what I do find is that I get more leverage with my lower grip. My pinkie’s are able to pull the grip into my hand more securely which gives a mechanical advantage over the guns recoil. This is why I put magwells on nearly all my guns. Its cool that mag changes are easier but for me the grip is why I do it. So…talon pro grip, magwell, port job and maybe a gas pedal and some grip tape for the gas pedal. Skip the DPM spring and invest that $150 or whatever they are charging these days into other areas of the gun that will bring more of a payoff in terms of recoil mitigation. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Remember my discount code for Apex, Optics Planet, KORE belts, C&H Precision is 360TS…Floyd’s its 360TS10 but I think im going to ask them to change it so its the same as everything else. May as well save some money where you can on the build lol
@@360TacticalSolutions thank you so much for the quick reply back. I’ve actually reached out to Floyd’s and they recommended the enforcer ports, but didn’t give me a reason why. I know that the HCP and the HC micro have only a 0.7” difference in barrel length, so that may be the reasoning behind Floyd’s recommending the enforcer port vs the commander port on the shorter HC micro. I currently have a arc reactor 48 slide on my Glock 48 with something similar to the Hel Port/chunk port that Monsoon does and it’s a night and day difference between the arc reactor 48 ported slide/barrel vs the OEM Glock 48 slide/barrel. I definitely feel the mitigation of recoil and have much better control and return to zero with the 507k red dot I have on it. I was thinking that the commander port might do something similar for the Hellcat micro, but I’ve searched and searched and have found no videos or any additional reviews comparing both port jobs by Floyd’s. I may wait for your comparison video before pulling the trigger and getting the port job done. I don’t expect the variance of recoil control to be much different between the two port jobs, but if one is even 5%-10% better than the other once you complete your test, then that will help me make my final decision. Thank you again for answering my questions and looking forward to that comparison video.
@@aceyboogie7172 I chat with them regularly, I’d say every other week we throw each other a message back and fourth. So I have a lot of insight into things over there. In fact I pushed them to start doing work on the Hellcat Pro which has lead to where we are now lol. I believe the reason they are recommending the Enforcer is their testing has shown it to feel like a softer shooting gun overall vs the Commander. Just judging by feel I almost couldnt tell the difference personally. So to me it’s going to boil down to which one loses the least velocity. I dont think their advice is just based on the shorter version Hellcat, thats their standard advice for both versions and I wouldnt be surprised if they discontinue the Commander at some point. Really Im going to gather more data and give it to them to help them decided if it’s worth doing two versions or not. The ports on the Enforcer are positioned roughly at 10 and 2 o’clock, more like 9:30 and 2:30 but because of their position you get gasses escaping in such a way it combats muzzle rise as well as felt recoil from that backward motion or “kick”. Because theres no top side port the gas has more pressure being forced out of the side ports making them work just as well (as far as I can tell so far) as a top port…except possibly without losing as much velocity. Im really looking forward to getting out next week and running those tests and seeing what I come up with. It could definitely be worth it to wait just a little longer to send the slide in just in case. Im the kind of person whos all about provable data vs subjective feel so Ive been really careful not to side one way or the other till the numbers are in lol
@@360TacticalSolutions thanks again! I’ll definitely be looking forward to the comparison video. It will be a first of its kind and I’m sure it will help other people make their decisions on what Floyd port to get done.
I have a HCP. I like but don't love it. I went and got a 43x and it shoots way better. It needs more upgrades but I honestly think it's a contender for the HCP. Give rhe MOS A Try. Great series and will be adding some of your upgrades to mine hopefully I can love mine.
Mmmmnn….43x is one of my least favorite choices. No rail for a weapon light, it’s thicker than the HCP, has a shorter barrel and comes with 10rd mags I believe. Yes you can get aftermarket mags but we are talking out of the box. It’s weird that the MOS version has a rail for a light but the standard one doesn’t. I like that the HCP has two version, one with and one without threaded barrel and both of them have a ton of things included like all of them being optic ready. Now one thing I will say is everyone is different in what feels right in their hand, what fun they are more accurate with. That’s important because you should never buy before you try lol. Sure the HCP beats everything on the market on paper but it’s going to boil down to what works in your hand
I feel the same about the Hellcat.. I like it a lot but maybe changing the trigger will make me love it. On paper it beats all of the micro/compact guns imo. I have both but I edc the 43x mos because it shoots better. The only thing it lacks is capacity which is very understandable. Although the grip texture is better on the Hellcat, I think the shape of the grip is better for me with the 43x mos and it shoots softer.
Im sure it is. QC on those plates isnt great and thats the point…buying them is a gamble. Your plate “working fine for a year now” though, that doesnt give much info. I could mount a plate and optic on a gun and leave it in the safe for 6 months and say it works fine. What conditions was it in, how much carry time, whats the environment and weather, whats the round count on the gun. These are all factors when it comes to how well a mounting plate does. I have a friend that swears by steel case ammo. The guy wont buy anything else because “steel case has never failed him”. When you start asking the right questions though you start to realize that it might be a better idea to go with a more trusted and time tested option
Great video i was thinking about the hell cat pro and the 43x mos but now i make up my mind the hell cat pro for me thanks for the video, gonna upgrade mind in the further.
I thought about getting the hellcat pro...I tried it out at the range this past week but I wasn't sold yet. Yours looks awesome though with those upgrades. Keep up the good work!
I always tell people to try before they buy. You never really know till you live fire test it. People tell me all the time this gun or that gun is the best but thats all subjective. I think the HCP is the best thing for concealment but I also know people who hate it lol
Of course. I wouldn’t be using it if it didn’t add to the overall handling of the gun. I will say the texture on it isn’t aggressive enough for me. I got some cheap Amazon grip tape and cut a piece to put on the gas pedal which was a huge improvement
@@luckylandy2945 just be aware if you are using an optic there may be clearance issues. The back side of it may touch the optic and stop you from being able to remove your slide. Quick fix…use a file and file off just a little of the gas pedal on the side that faces the slide, hit it with some black spray paint and you are good to go
I thought I replied to this last night but I must not have hit the enter button. I don’t have a lot of PDP experience but I can say Walther is a great company and their guns are top shelf as far as reliability, accuracy and safety. I hear the PDP is a bit snappy with its recoil but again I haven’t put more than two mags through one another guy offered me to shoot at the range. Why do you say you have to buy a Walther for your first? My honest opinion is you should find a range with a rental program and rent a few different guns to live fire test before picking one. Everyone is different and what really matters is that you are comfortable with it in your hand and that you can fire it at an acceptable level of accuracy. A lot of people love Glocks but I can’t shoot them worth a damn. It has to do with my grip. So if I just bought a Glock because people told me they were amazing I’d then have a gun that does me no good when I need it lol. Just a thought. But also Walther isn’t a bad starting place either
My honest opinion...the Hellcat is one of the worst guns ive ever shot. I even like it less than the S&W Shield. The shorter barreled guns are less accurate and kick like a pissed off mule. It doesn't help that the grip length is shortened so you have less control over the gun. They shorten the grip and barrel to make them better for concealment but in my experience this doesn't really do as much as you would think. The Hellcat and Hellcat Pro seem to carry very similarly and so the drawbacks on the Hellcat far outweigh any advantages to having a smaller version of the gun. HCP all the way
In addition to what 360 said- I believe the most recent HC Pros have the Gen3 triggers, which from what I have come to understand are the SHiiite! Sportsmans Outdoor superstore has a killer bundle deal right now on the FDE + a CT RMR 579 shipped
Question, I see that you went with TRL-7A... did you have to get a different key to fit the light on the railing properly? or Did it fit that way perfectly without any issues? I know that with TRL-sub you have to request #5 key for it to fit properly.
Great question, thanks for asking. I have a 7Sub, 7A and a 7X. The sub is a better fit for guns like my M&P2.0 and to be honest it’s a poor choice for the HCP because of the confusion over the keys and then holsters…is it the 7Sub 1913 or the 7Sub HCP model because most holsters have different models for each because the lights fit differently. It’s stupid but people keep buying them. The 7A/7X on the other hand is a direct fit butted right up to the trigger guard while using the included Universal key that’s installed on the light. lol super easy, open the package and mount the light then find a holster for the 7A and you are set. No complications as all and it’s no bigger than the sub, just a slightly different shape. 100% go with the 7A/7X and if you want a discount get it at Optics Planet where you can use my 360TS promo code 👍🏻
@@360TacticalSolutions only thing I ended up swapping was to the thinner rear paddles due stock paddles protruding too much in the trigger frame. It felt like it was getting in the way of me putting my finger on the trigger. Have you experience both paddles yet?
A lot of people like it...I'm not one of them. At the end of the day I think everyone should live fire before buying any gun and my advice is only to give some perspective that you and others may not have thought of while making a choice for themself. That being said, the shorter 3.4" barrel definitely has a bit more recoil which is never a positive. The gun also has no accessory rail and being optic ready isn't a standard. For a lot of people these things may not matter. Maybe you don't like using an optic or a light. Nothing wrong with that. At the same time the Glock could have come in at 3.7" with a rail and optic cut and been a gun that fills everyones needs instead of just people that don't use a dot and don't carry a light. On a personal note ive never liked the way Glocks feel in my hand so I stick to judging them by specs so I'm not being too bias
I’m fully in regret for not buying Hellcat Pro. I’m happy with my G19 but Hellcat Pro was better for me. I can’t even put a red dot on my G19 because it’s not mos version..
I believe we spoke before and you said you were located in Turkey? I apologize if that’s incorrect…I answer so many emails and comments that I mix them up from time to time. The MOS is garbage. Regret nothing. Instead of regret, find a local machinist that works on those guns and have them cut the slide specifically for the optic that you intend to use. That will work out so much better than having purchased the MOS version.
@@360TacticalSolutions Hey! Yes, you’re right. I’m the guy from Turkey. I thought about cutting the slide but I don’t want to leave a permanent modification on it.. As you remember this pistol is 500$ in USA but it’s 4000$ here.. Probably I will buy some good quality tritium night sight set (truglo or trijicon) and carry my pistol that way. About trigger I’m thinking of Timney Alpha. This two kit will be my only modifications.. If you have any advice about them, I’m open to hear.
Love my Hellcat line up. I have had the RDP for 2 yrs and no issues, the tool less comp is great on all ammo. I picked up 2 Pros on the gear up even and they came with 7 mags each, I am stacked up now. I do have the glock 43x/48 but find myself carrying the RDP most of the week. Only downside is they don't have an aftermarket magwell for them but my glock magwells aren't the most secure anyway .
I shouldn’t say anything yet but I’ll have a source for magwells and mag extensions for the HC and HCP very soon. Keep an eye out for more info, I’ll be posting a video as soon as I can put that info out for people
I was just talking to my local gun store asking if they were going to get some Taurus in. I have a buddy that swears by them, wont carry anything else. For the price they are hard to beat
Put about 300 rounds into my H-cat pro the other day, love it the only issue is the beavetail seems to really put pressure on that area between your thumb/index finger and gets bothersome after a while.
I actually wish it had more of a beaver tail. Like a real beaver tail. My first gun was a Baby Eagle and it has a really pronounced beaver tail. Then the first generation M&P had a great one for a polymer based pistol. I was disappointed the 2.0 didn’t have it. The HCP by most standards doesn’t have much, if any beaver tail which is unfortunate considering what it does for control under recoil. If it bothers your hand I’d just say…just keep shooting, you have will eventually get used to it
After watching so many videos of yours. I decided to get myself a Hellcat Pro with threaded barrel. It's a little snappy. Should I get a compensator for it or should I get it milled like yours?
Both have pros and cons. I’d start with a comp. Harrington Arms has an incredible comp design for the HCP. The thing about a comp is you have to find just the right holster for it. I like my ported version because it fits all the standard holsters. Then again you wouldn’t want to port a threaded barrel. I think the best thing to do is start with the comp since you do have the threaded barrel
@@360TacticalSolutions Thank you for replying. I do really like to have Harrington Arms comp, I have one for my P320 build and I love it, but it’s been out of stock for a while. I might get a Strike Industry like you had. As far as holster, I have an open ended one so it should be fine with a comp. I appreciate your input. I really need more practice on this firearm, it takes time to get used to the trigger and grip. I’ve shot about 500 rounds now, and my group is not consistent. I put on a Hogue pistol grip yesterday and it feels night and day difference. It feels much better now.
With the Apex Extended Takedown Lever you previously used, did you have problems with finding holsters like you did with your current gas pedal that you referenced?
No the extended takedown lever doesn’t extend far enough to make much difference in holsters. I have a half dozen different brands of holster for this gun and they all work with it 👍🏻
No I have a red 407K on one of my HCP and a green one on the other. I do have a EPS Carry on my desk thats going to go on a HCP project coming up. I dont want to spoil it but I’ll have a video before summer is up.
I have a stock hellcat pro with the 407k my shop milled the slide a bit and removed two of the 4 alignment pins so I have direct mount and co-witness irons. I run 147gr ammo but still a little snappy I eventually wanna get the recoil reduction kit and have my gunsmith port it for me. I definitely need that gas pedal though
the two allightment pins flattened were enough for it to sit flush against the slide after screwing the sight? i heard something about when screwing you can see a light passing through if you point it to the sun, meaning theres a gap
lol check the video age…this is last September, well before the TLR 7X or the HLX. Currently I’m using the X which replaced the 7A in their lineup. It’s a bit brighter and I opted for the rechargeable battery. The HLX is nice but for the extra output I can’t justify having to change all my holsters lol
That’s hard to say. I heard a couple weeks ago that it was averaging 3-4 weeks but it depends on if you go with cerakote or DLC for the coating. Lead times will vary depending on how many customers have their stuff in front of yours
Have the original hellcat. I REGRET not paying the extra 30 bucks and gotten the optic ready model. Regardless, its my fave edc. I got the hellcat apex trigger and its such a nice trigger for that gun. Good video, brother!
I tried the Hellcat and didn’t like it at all. Then when the HCP came out I saw that it checked off all the boxes I wanted in a concealment pistol. I couldn’t be more happy that I went with the Hellcat Pro
I had considered adding the MCarbo striker into the video but currently it’s installed on my second HCP while I do some comparisons. That guns going to be getting some airtime real soon.
I shot hellcat pro and x macro non comped back to back today and I was torn . I ended up ordering the hellcat pro even tho I think it has more recoil then the sig. Those x macro seem to have rusting problems some of the time so I picked hell cat . I dont trust the sig even tho i want to . How did the porting help with the snappieness on the hellcat ?
@@969Garage the Hellcat Pro definitely has a little more recoil than the Xmacro. The Sig leaves no room for improvement though...that gun just is what it is. The HCP you have a ton of options to update, upgrade and customize and the gun is a fraction of the cost of the Sig. As far as porting, I do have a video where I measured recoil from stock vs ported vs comped. It's a major improvement. Just had mine at the range today and I love shooting it. I actually like shooting it more than the Springfield Echelon.
What appendix holster have you found to fit your final setup with the gas pedal and the light I’m looking for a hybrid holster with a leather backing for more comfort
Im using the McKinatec Talon but in the drop down menu for rail adapter you have to select “Tactical Development Pro Ledge”. That option creates a channel for the gas pedal. Ive found as far as hybrid holsters that use a leather backing the options tend to be pretty limited. Either theres no option for the HCP or there is but theres no option for a light and the ones that have an option for a light have limited selections for lights. I kind of gave up on that hybrid thing a while ago
Ive talked about it in other videos. For most people asking about Co-witnessing a Holosun isn't going to give you what you want with or without a plate. I have one that uses a plate and one that has had the slide modified for a direct fit with the Holosun optics. I can see enough to use as a basic guide which is enough to get the job done. Personally I think co-witness is bs. I trust my optic. If it goes down I'll be ok. I pull my battery from time to time at the range and practice point shooting. Ive found my muscle memory at standard self defense ranges is more than ok to eliminate a threat. This type of training is more valuable than any amount of co-witness in my opinion
Right now I have some Speer Gold dot in mine. 124gr +P Thats for conceal carry. I have the same ammo in my 4” M&P as my home defense gun. I actually wantot buy a 4.25” M&P and use that as my dedicated home defense gun gut the 4” works. The HCP I keep in its holster…when I get home at the end of the day I take it off and it goes in the safe till it’s time to leave the house again.
I’ve jus watched your videos on the hellcat pro. I took your advice and bought the 407k fde and jus ordered the plate. Thinking about getting it ported. Currently at 2,500 rounds. Also jus bought the new 17rds mags
Other than the trigger guard rubbing a bit can’t say I can find any other issues other than imperfections in visuals have about 300 rounds on mine just getting used to how to shoot it. cheers 🤙🏼
I HATE the Talon Pro grip! I put one on an S&W Shield, carried OWB, and sometimes pocket carried, and the finish wore off after a couple of weeks. I put a rubber Talon grip on a full size M&P and it lasted for years! Go rubber. Don’t go Pro on your Pro!
I had one that lasted about the same. I used too much heat on it when I set it. My other HCP lasted months of carry use with no issues. I just recently took it off to test out the Hogue grip
Why would you want an extended mag release? I'm always paranoid about accidentally hitting the release. I never have an issue hitting the factory mag release when I do want to. I actually grinded down my LCP MAX release, and can still release the mag easily
Being paranoid about hitting it accidentally just means you should train more. The extended mag release isn’t extended so much that it’s an issue accidentally hitting it and it’s not about having a problem reaching it or using it either. You get a much better texture and more leverage on it with the Apex mag release and honestly you won’t understand if you don’t feel it for yourself
I dont really have a place I can go shoot in low light. I could probably pay to do a lowlight training course but right now the time and money just isnt available for that. Im sure that the ported barrel introduces some challenges. Ive reviewed all my footage with this gun and the porting definitely makes an impressive fireball here and there.
Not quite like you could if you were doing a direct mount but I can still see my sights well enough to use them as a backup. The adapter plate is like two business cards thick so it doesnt add much to the height of the Holosun
I dont really track that, it’s one piece here and there as people ask about different upgrades. Even between this video and now there are several other upgrades that could be factored into the total pricing. Id say in this video there is probably 500 in upgrades not counting optic and light. Thats just a rough estimation and really this gun is just a host for testing new products for the HCP. Pick one upgrade, pick them all…its just a compilation of possibilities for the HCP
Are you still happy with that C&H optic plate? I have to get an optic for mine and am caught up in between getting the slide milled or just getting a plate. I guess i mean, if you could go back and do it again, would you go with the plate or get it milled since you already customized the slide with the port job?
Thats a great question. First…of course im an affiliate for C&H so if someone does buy something through my links from them I make a couple bucks. That being said I always prefer a direct mount if at all possible. The system on the HCP has 4 “posts” where the optic goes. When modifying it for a Holosun you have to grind off the two rear ones and then the two front ones need taken down just a little but. They are a little too tall. That was something that we found out after my slide was milled and I had them grind the rear posts but I didnt think about the height of the front ones…my my optic sits high in the front which made me say ok well Im going back to the plate. Another thing is those posts are quite a bit smaller diameter than the holes on the Holosun. They dont make a lot of contact so they arent really doing the job of stabilizing and absorbing recoil like they are supposed to. My second slide is headed to Floyds now and im going to have them cut the posts for the Holosun just so it’s done. More to the question though…would I do it again as far as the plate or doing the slide cut. I wouldnt ship the gun in to have the slide modified for the Holosun unless I was doing more. Like if I was sending the slide in to be ported (which im doing right now) then I would add on the optic cut, but I wouldnt send it in just for that optic cut. If I just had the gun and strictly wanted to adapt it to use a Holosun I would go with the plate for sure. That way there is no modification done and If I trade it or sell it later on it retains more value because its stock.
@360TacticalSolutions Excellent reply! I know I'm sending it off to Floyd's in the near future for porting, so if they can make it Holosun friendly I'll just get it all done at once. I'll definitely let them know you sent me there when it goes in. I really appreciate all the great info and the replies. I know I could Google this stuff but I'd rather hear it from someone I know that knows what they're talking about. Hope you have a great week and I look forward to more videos!
I do like it. Some people have complained there is some issues with clearance between the gas pedal and optic. I dont have this issue because Im using an adapter plate on this gun so it sits just a bit higher. If you are interested in installing this gas pedal, I would reccomend filling off a little material from the back of the gas pedal to give a little room for the optic during takedown.
You didnt say what model number light your using and what key? There is much confusion with these lights and the Pro. Also what holster works with the TLR-7A and hellcat pro? thanks
Here’s a direct link to the one I ordered from PSA if that helps. alnk.to/8iSxAEH Im just using the universal key which allowed me to but the light directly to the trigger guard. The IWB holster that im using is listed in the description. It’s made by a small company called Packin Holsters. Their contact info is there if you want to reach out. Everything is made to order. I also have another IWB holster made by McKinatec. Both are great but the lead times are a bit long for McKinatec
Hey man! Great vid. How did you get the stream light to fit all the way snug onto the trigger guard? I tried the universal 1 key that they recommended and there is a decent gap
Thats strange. Mine just fit right in like that and I have the Universal key as well. Is the key backward? Mine already had it installed so im just guessing here but if its turned 180 degrees it might fit better
@@360TacticalSolutions I will double check that! But it came with that key already in it so it was the first I tried. Then used several others to try and make the fit.
@@BKTubes I had someone else ask the same question today. Head on into my channel into the community section. I went ahead and took some pictures and made a post with a link to the exact model im using. I think they have several models but I figured Id give the info I could and try to help out
You went on Packin Holsters IG? He doesnt have a website and is currently on a break from holsters while he does some job training. My other go to holster is McKinatec. Specifically I use the Talon holster or the MTA universal for the TLR 7A. Either of those are great choices and if you use a gas pedal like the one I have you can select the option for the Tactical Development ProLedge and the holster will fit the gas pedal
Really any local gunsmith can take care of it easily. Your most likely can do most of it with zero experience but the one I would leave for a pro if you don’t have experience is the trigger. Let a gunsmith do that one for sure if you aren’t comfortable
The grip im using is the Talon Pro Grip and it’s actually not aggressive in the classic sense. They have another one called “granulate” and that one is like a rough sand paper. The pro grip though, it’s more like a rubber hybrid. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all when I carry but at the same time it improves my grip so much that I couldnt go back to carrying a pistol that doesnt have the Talon Pro Grip. Well worth buying. Check my videos, I did a review recently. Best $25 you could spend
@@CHAOSMOVEMENT glad to help. Also just a little advice. Be careful with the install. Use the alcohol wipe, let it dry completely before putting the grip on then when you go over it with heat to finish the job be conservative with the heat. I went overboard on one and the texture got somewhat brittle. Some of the texture will fall off as it’s used but if you over heat it during the install you will see a lot more texture loss and the actual feel of the material will be more stiff and scratchy vs spongy
so i heard you were saying you tried to dremel your slide and let the 407 sit flush against the slide , and you had stability issues? i was just at the crossroad of buying 407k and thinking about dremeling since i wanted the sights to cowitness
If you want to modify it yourself you are going to want to use flat files…not a dremmel. Take the rear lugs down flush like they were never there. The front lugs need a little material taken off. Using a dremmel you risk taking too much material off. Take a couple passes with a file and then sit the optic on the slide and screw it down. You can shine a flashlight from the opposite side and if theres daylight in front then you need to take a little more off. Mine was unstable because the front lugs needed shaved down
@@galnadjar honestly even with the plate I can judge well enough that I can place my shots where I need them. The plate is just a little thinner than a credit card lol. Keep in mind I have two of these guns. One uses a plate and the other has the slide modified for direct mount. Even with it modified you don’t get what most people would expect for a cowitness because of the optic body thickness. People don’t like to hear it but cowitness is bullshit. I actually have a video dedicated to that but really here’s my position: get an optic you trust and run with it, don’t even pay attention to irons. When you go shooting remove the battery for the optic and run a couple mags through it using the optic body and window as your reference point. Essentially training yourself to point shoot with the optic as a reference. This is faster than irons and it’s why a lot of guys make a center mark at the top of their window with a paint pen.
@@360TacticalSolutions interesting info , thank you, i think ill listen and get the 407k , also i read online that the titantium dpp adapter plate , is sturdier , and fills the gaps much better than the c&h altough you partner with them , have you tried dpp? i also saw the reviews in amazon is alot in favor of the dpp
@@galnadjar DPP pays people for reviews like most companies on Amazon. I got a plate of theirs and it was warped. Exchanged it and the replacement was ok. They call it titanium but it’s steel. If you get a good one then it’s good enough
Hi love, your videos and took your advice for my hellcat Pro on the stream light and the 407K my problem is I’m having a very hard time finding that dot any suggestions for finding the dot
It can be tricky if it’s your first gun with a red dot. You want to keep both eyes open and focused on your target. Don’t adjust your head or eyes to find the dot…bring the gun up into your field of vision in front of your eye. Thats the part people really struggle with, they want to move their head to find the dot vs moving the gun to align with their eye. A good way to get that figured out is dry fire practice. Using a red dot is a matter of building solid muscle memory to a point that you draw your weapon and you just go to that spot where your dot is in front of your eye. Be safe about it. Don’t keep any ammo in the room. Put a post it note on a wall, draw, line up the dot and fire. Maybe order some cheap snap caps from amazon, training rounds. It’s better to use those, less wear and tear on the gun vs standard dry fire. The more you dry fire the faster you will get lining up the dot because you will build the muscle memory. This will save you a lot of money vs just doing live fire practice and beating that learning curve. A lot of people get discouraged because it takes work to get red dots figured out. Also people get the perception the dot is moving all over like crazy but it really isnt. The red dot just exaggerates your barrel movement and you notice it more. I think I’ll try and work out a “how to” video for new users of red dots. Basically dry fire every day. Take 20min every night or whatever works best and practice the dry fire. It could take a little bit to really get it but it will happen if you work at it. Just keep your head locked, vision focused on the threat and bring the dot to your eye
Yours not fitting flush with the trigger guard? Head over to my channel on the Community tab. One of my last post has pictures and info for people. I have the Universal 1 key installed and the key sits in the front slot on my rail
No I’m using the Universal 1 key. I actually just posted some information and pictures in my community tab if you want to go over and check it out. Just head into my channel and look for the post, you cant miss it
This gun has the OEM but my other HCP still has the M Carbo. It’s a high quality striker assembly and I fully trust it. Eventually I will add one to the gun from this video but I have about a half dozen builds going at the same time right now
Yes the HCP is optic ready but the footprint doesn't match the Holosun 407K. The slide has 4 recoil posts so the adapter plate blocks 2 of them and creates two for the front of the Holosun. People always ask if I can cowitness while using this set up. I can see my iron sights enough that in an emergency I'll be able to take care of business. The plate really doesn't raise up the optic much at all and if you have the right screws, the right thread locker and you torque to spec then it shouldn't be an issue
Genuine question here, why are the sides of the barrel/slide ported as well as the top? Could just the top be ported so that you get the muzzle more stable and not be as loud because the open sides? Also how much does that cost and who are some good vendors?
I have multiple videos on this if you want to go back into my Hellcat Pro playlist and really deep dive into specifics. I cant really discuss numbers without YT bots flagging me for “firearm sales”. I think I mentioned in this video as well as left a link and promo code for Floyds Custom Shop who did the work on my HCP. Ive had multiple sources send me in complaints about work done through some of the other companies that I wont mention just because I havent had work done through them personally. As far as the port design, volume isnt going to be a measurable difference by removing the side ports. Either way porting is loud. The excess sound is a non issue when compared to the benefit in a life or death situation. Basically if you use it…your ear drums arent going to be happy ported or not ported but saving a life is what matters. In terms of side ports, you will have to go watch some of the other content but they arent located at 9 and 3 o’clock like it seems. The ports are cut somewhat a backward angle and positioned more at 10 and 2. Top port helps relieve muzzle rise while the “side” ports work against felt recoil or rearward kick depending on what terminology you prefer. The port sizing, design and locations have been carefully designed to give you the best recoil management while still retaining a respectable velocity. Im in the process of doing some velocity testing that will give more information on the subject but thats going to take a bit of time. Hope that helps but I definitely recommend checking my HCP playlist. You wont find more information out there than ive put together

How do you like the holosun? Can u cowitness the sights? I just got the hellcat pro and am trying to decide on a red dot that u can co witness and has a side or top battery
I do have one. It's on my desk lol. I ordered it to put on my second HCP but haven't really gotten to it yet. Right now im waiting on that HCP slide to get back from porting but I'll mount it soon
I think I covered that at 07:29 It doesn’t fit with many off the shelf holsters because of its size. There’s information in the video and description to the holster that I’m using that works with the gas pedal
You are commenting on the 17th video in a series of videos and asking if it’s an honest review because it’s not a stock HCP? Im trying to kind of figure out what exactly you are getting at here because your comment wasnt really clear. Ill take the time and help you out here…this isnt a review, its an update on how the gun is running, what the latest upgrades are and how its working out overall. Are you wondering about loss of accuracy past 25 due to porting? I get that a lot. Anything past 25yards and I better have an expensive attorney in order to prove it was justified self defense. Hell anything past 10 yards creates some heavy legal questions. I haven't noticed any difference in accuracy pre port vs post port. I don't often shoot a gun like the HCP out past 25yards because it's just not within the expected use range. That being said the place I usually shoot gives me probably 40 yards between me and the backstop which is usually littered with clays and cans. I regularly take shots at my targets set up at 8, 10, 20ish yards and then transition to random items on the berm like clays. Its never been an issue to hit pretty much anything I can see sitting out on the backstop
@@360TacticalSolutions That's awesome man. Exactly what I wanted to hear. Yeah I was curious about accuracy pre and post porting. I agree, no reason to ever take the gun out to a distance of more than 20 or 25 yards but it's fun to be able to do with a carry piece. So that's why I asked
@@jonah8133 I assumed that was the question. People get nervous about accuracy with porting. Accuracy and velocity both. Floyds backbores the barrel though and that helps retain velocity and accuracy when you port. Its a fun gun to shoot for sure
Im thinking about buying the threaded barrel version cus i like the extra barrel length and just the look of it but do you think it would be less reliable then getting a ported one like yours ?
I have one with a threaded barrel and it’s never had any reliability issues. The extra barrel length won’t do a lot for you in terms of performances weather that’s recoil or accuracy. Its only real advantage will be mounting a suppressor or compensator. I don’t carry with the threaded barrel very often because in a lot of situations that extra barrel length ends up digging into me when I sit down. Either way…Hellcat Pro is a great gun, but the version you feel suits you and you will be happy with the results 👍🏻
thanks for the fast respond time i appreciate all the effort you've put into educating everyone you definitely deserve a lot more subscribers @@360TacticalSolutions
@@360TacticalSolutionsFirst of I appreciate your response. But you're making an assumption that everyone who still wants to be able to use their irons are "stressing" over it. Also, why do you emphasis being able to shoot without any sight (do to stress or a malfunction) in relation to co-witnessing? That argument would also apply to an optic. Why have a red-dot? Just practice without sights and carry that way. You don't realize it but your argument focusing just on co-witnessing is a fallacy. It's not about trusting your optic. Things happen. It wanting to have a back-up plan is unrealistic, than it's as unrealistic as using your red-dot in a real stressful situation. You can make to big a deal of co-witnessing but it seems you're making to big a deal of not co-witnessing. But I really do appreciate you responding. :)
So you fired all the 5500 rounds with the same recoil spring? I am asking this to know for how long recoil spring lasts regardless of recomnended number of shots
Yes, same recoil spring. The tend to outlast most parts on a gun. Thats the last part I would really be concerned about wearing out. I would look at extractors well before recoil springs and at 5500 rounds my gun is still running like its new
@@mustafamalik5155 I haven't had any parts wear out or break. Most people would be hard pressed to fire 10k rounds through a pistol over the time they own it. For a lot of owners 2000 rounds is "heavy use". I wouldn't expect to hit a point I need to start replacing parts that are wore out till 15-20k rounds. Sure you may have a random time in there where the oddball thing happens and you need to replace something but that isn't going to be a regular thing. I think the point im getting to is 90% of people will never shoot a gun enough to get to a point parts start wearing out and if they do it will take so long that something better will be on the market so at that point upgrading into something more up to date may be the way to go. These guns today aren't meant to last 100 years of regular use. Pretty much anything on the market right now you can buy and get the next 10-20 years of use out of it without worrying to much about it breaking down unless you are an extremely heavy user. As far as the HCP goes ive ran it hard and well over what a normal user would use it for and I think if someone is concerned about how long its going to last, its going to do fine
Love your hellcat, I’ll be making some of the same moves you did. Do you have a prodigy? I wanna get one but I know they need some tweaks right off the bad.
I haven gotten a Prodigy yet. I should have bought one early on but I was tied up with other projects. Now it's late enough that it almost doesn't make sense. I don't know I could get the traffic from the content in order to cover the cost...I try not to spend much of my own money on this stuff. Also I feel like we should be seeing another round of budget friendly double stack 1911's somewhat soon. Id hate to buy a Prodigy and then the next thing hits the market in a few months or whatever. Basically im holding out for now, but who knows, I could end up changing my mind lol
I dont know that company very well. It’s a fairly new company compared to Apex for instance who’s been in the business over 20 years. Thats one of the things that is very important to me when it comes to something like a trigger….I have to have trust and confidence in the company and their product. The PRP seems like its a decent kit but I cant say as to if its a good one or not. Do you have access to purchase from Apex over in Greece? I’m never sure how the international stuff works but im glad to have you here on the channel and I’ll answer any questions I can
I just got the Hellcat Pro. After having carried other pistols- including the Glock 26 and Sig P365x, I find the slim design and longer grip of the hellcat pro perfect for concealability and accurate shooting.
It’s a great gun for concealment as well as overall use
Is the pro lighter and or smaller than the SIG p365?
The 365 is slimmer

Same thing for the Apex trigger, same code. How are you liking the gun so far?
I got a hellcat pro OSP with gear up bundle with 2 15 round mags, 3 17 round magazines, a viridian green dot optic and a range bag for free after $620 for the gun itself.
Imo that's the best deal of the market right now so hurry and grab it.
I love their gear up packages. Legitimately one of the best deals out there
I got the same deal with the hellcat OSP... 11 13 and a 15 round mag with the viridian green dot and a range bag...my EDC❤❤❤

Talon grips are great. $25 for the pro grips...quick, easy and inexpensive upgrade that makes a world of difference
I have a hellcat and am thinking of upgrading to the hellcat pro. I really appreciate your review. Thanks
Well I have shot both and I definitely think the HCP is the best carry gun on the market. It fills all the boxes for me. Hopefully my videos help with some thoughts and insight
This would be the best hellcat pro review on YT🎉
Appreciate that
Excellent video! I just purchased the Hellcat Pro Comp and your reviews helped me with the decision-making process. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
Great to hear. Thank you
The shield rmsc that came on my Hellcat pro comp mounts directly to my slide with no need for plates.
Excellent review/discussion. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Great video! The HC Pro and the new HC Pro Comp are phenomenal. My only complaints are the trigger undercut and that overly heavy trigger weight.
Yea the Apex trigger helped a lot with the gun and that undercut can be uncomfortable as all hell. Took some time to really get used to it
I recently got the hellcat pro comp and it came with a red dot and 5 mags plus range bag

I love the Hellcat grip, best grip ever!
Even better with Talon grips
I loved the stock grip for shooting, and IWB carry for about 30 minutes. Anything longer, and the grip started rubbing my skin raw. I don't have that problem with the more rubber like Talon grip I put on a few weeks ago.
@@360TacticalSolutions I'm gonna get those grips, because I have hyperhydrosis so more friction for better aim. How much are those grip wraps??

How do i get in contact with Ed form Packin Holster?
The stock trigger on my pro comp is pretty good as is. Good enough that I don't feel the need to change it.
As long as it works for you 👍🏻
Great review !! I have the Hellcat Pro and really like it.
Good choice!
Thank you for your review. I appreciate your thoughts on the various upgrades. I really like my Hellcat Pro!
Glad it was helpful!

New to the channel correct. I don't have either on my Hellcat Pro but want to get the side port from Floyd's as their reviews in house have been great
@@clantonracing7099 I can 100% confirm this.
@360TacticalSolutions
I love these hellcat pro videos.
Just got it just hit 300 rnds and I love I will have to take your advice about the trigger
you won't regret it
I have a HCP.
Although the grip texture is better on the Hellcat, I think the shape of the grip is better for me with the 43x mos and it shoots softer.
my amazon mounting plate works just fine with my Holosun 407K and has been working fine for a year now.
DPP?

I always tell people to try before they buy. You never really know till you live fire test it. People tell me all the time this gun or that gun is the best but thats all subjective. I think the HCP is the best thing for concealment but I also know people who hate it lol

Does the gas pedal actually help on this gun? I love springfield firearms. No problems outta my Hellcat Pro whatsoever, just snappy af....
Of course. I wouldn’t be using it if it didn’t add to the overall handling of the gun. I will say the texture on it isn’t aggressive enough for me. I got some cheap Amazon grip tape and cut a piece to put on the gas pedal which was a huge improvement
@@360TacticalSolutions Bet. Thank you bro. I'ma try one.

Any idea about Walther PDP? I have to buy one as my first. Thinking about which one would be good. Just for safety's sake, no competition or anything.
Between the hellcat and the hellcat pro, which one would be your preference?

For those who live in a 10 round state.
Keep an eye out for more info, I’ll be posting a video as soon as I can put that info out for people
@@360TacticalSolutionsdid you guys ever release any magwell or mag extensions?
Had the pro with an optic for a few months now and I’ll even forget I have it on the waist sometimes.Doesnt way my pants or belt down either
Absolutely my favorite carry gun
Hellcat is great...Smith wesson shield is great...Glock 43× is great, I own all these, I CARRY THE TAURUS G3X. THANKS
If it bothers your hand I’d just say…just keep shooting, you have will eventually get used to it
@@360TacticalSolutions yeah only have this issue with the hellcat pro, never on any other of the dozen or so 9's I've used. pretty sketch lol
I also edc the hellcat. Kinda dig the breakdown lever. What is that?
Thats the GoGun USA Gas Pedal. Its a great addition to the HCP
I have a half dozen different brands of holster for this gun and they all work with it 👍🏻
I thought you put EPS carry on your HCP ??
Great review thank you
Thanks for watching!
Hot take: all CC pistols should come standard with threaded barrel, accessory rail, and optic cut
Aside from the threaded barrel, I totally agree.
How come u didn’t go with the HLX for the light?
lol check the video age…this is last September, well before the TLR 7X or the HLX. Currently I’m using the X which replaced the 7A in their lineup. It’s a bit brighter and I opted for the rechargeable battery. The HLX is nice but for the extra output I can’t justify having to change all my holsters lol
What was the turn around time on that port job? I had no idea they were so affordable!
I was expecting you to talk about the MCarbo kit 😢. Great video
I had considered adding the MCarbo striker into the video but currently it’s installed on my second HCP while I do some comparisons. That guns going to be getting some airtime real soon.
What do you like better hell cat pro or m&p compact? I think im going to rent a hellcat pro this weekend .
The 3.6” M&P? I wish it was 1” thick like the HCP. If it was it would carry a lot better and I’d put it at the top of my list of carry guns.
Good video, what grip tape are you running on?
That right there is the Talon Pro grip. I have taken it off and replaced it with a Hogue beavertail grip though. So far the Hogue is my favorite
Thanks for the reply …..that sucks
Does the 407k/507k co-witness the OE sights with the adapter plate? You never covered that.
Best ammo you use in the hell cat pro for home and self defense?
Right now I have some Speer Gold dot in mine. 124gr +P
Thats for conceal carry.
Thnks alot bro

I’ve jus watched your videos on the hellcat pro. I took your advice and bought the 407k fde and jus ordered the plate. Thinking about getting it ported. Currently at 2,500 rounds. Also jus bought the new 17rds mags
Sounds like you are putting together a great setup. The more rounds I put through mine the more I love it
Other than the trigger guard rubbing a bit can’t say I can find any other issues other than imperfections in visuals have about 300 rounds on mine just getting used to how to shoot it. cheers 🤙🏼
Great gun and its going to last you a long time
I HATE the Talon Pro grip!
Great video!!! Have you shot this in low/no light training? Just curious how the comp affected night vision.
Thanks for the video! Are you able to co witness with your Holosun?
Not quite like you could if you were doing a direct mount but I can still see my sights well enough to use them as a backup. The adapter plate is like two business cards thick so it doesnt add much to the height of the Holosun
Total cost of all upgrades?
How do you like that gas pedal
I do like it. Some people have complained there is some issues with clearance between the gas pedal and optic. I dont have this issue because Im using an adapter plate on this gun so it sits just a bit higher. If you are interested in installing this gas pedal, I would reccomend filling off a little material from the back of the gas pedal to give a little room for the optic during takedown.
You didnt say what model number light your using and what key? There is much confusion with these lights and the Pro. Also what holster works with the TLR-7A and hellcat pro? thanks
Here’s a direct link to the one I ordered from PSA if that helps.

Im just using the universal key which allowed me to but the light directly to the trigger guard.
I think they have several models but I figured Id give the info I could and try to help out
I just went on packin holsters and didn't see a holster for light and or Red dot cut outs for the Hellcat Pro. ??
You went on Packin Holsters IG? He doesnt have a website and is currently on a break from holsters while he does some job training. My other go to holster is McKinatec. Specifically I use the Talon holster or the MTA universal for the TLR 7A. Either of those are great choices and if you use a gas pedal like the one I have you can select the option for the Tactical Development ProLedge and the holster will fit the gas pedal
Any gunsmiths you can recommend to do all these modifications?
Thanks
Really any local gunsmith can take care of it easily. Your most likely can do most of it with zero experience but the one I would leave for a pro if you don’t have experience is the trigger. Let a gunsmith do that one for sure if you aren’t comfortable
How does that grip feel for you? It looks really aggressive.
@@360TacticalSolutions That's exactly what I needed to know, thank you!
Mine was unstable because the front lugs needed shaved down
@@360TacticalSolutions aaaah i see, okay thanks! and regarding the cowitness , is it enough visible when used without the plate tho?

That is the gas pedal and it’s made by a company called GoGun USA
Did you have to change to a different key out on the stream light?
Yours not fitting flush with the trigger guard? Head over to my channel on the Community tab. One of my last post has pictures and info for people. I have the Universal 1 key installed and the key sits in the front slot on my rail

Hi, are you still running the mcarbo striker assembly or back to oem?
This gun has the OEM but my other HCP still has the M Carbo. It’s a high quality striker assembly and I fully trust it. Eventually I will add one to the gun from this video but I have about a half dozen builds going at the same time right now
What's the reason for the custom plate? I thought the hellcat pros come OSP ready?
Yes the HCP is optic ready but the footprint doesn't match the Holosun 407K. The slide has 4 recoil posts so the adapter plate blocks 2 of them and creates two for the front of the Holosun. People always ask if I can cowitness while using this set up. I can see my iron sights enough that in an emergency I'll be able to take care of business. The plate really doesn't raise up the optic much at all and if you have the right screws, the right thread locker and you torque to spec then it shouldn't be an issue
@@360TacticalSolutions cool ordered!! Thank you again

Have you done any shooting past 25 yards?

@@unmasking7974 I appreciate it. Thank you
Can you still use the iron sights with the C&H plate or does the optic sit to high?
You can see enough to use as a reference but don’t get caught up on cowitnessing
Co Witness Conundrum

I would look at extractors well before recoil springs and at 5500 rounds my gun is still running like its new
@@360TacticalSolutions ok and what about the extractor? You replaced that or that's also the same?
Hi from Greece!!!!Your opinion for PRP trigger for this gun???
I dont know that company very well. It’s a fairly new company compared to Apex for instance who’s been in the business over 20 years. Thats one of the things that is very important to me when it comes to something like a trigger….I have to have trust and confidence in the company and their product. The PRP seems like its a decent kit but I cant say as to if its a good one or not. Do you have access to purchase from Apex over in Greece? I’m never sure how the international stuff works but im glad to have you here on the channel and I’ll answer any questions I can
Thanks so much for your answer!!!!Yes I have acces to the apex!!!Stay safe!!
1st lol thanks bud you have seriously answered so many questions for my hellcat pro.
Glad I could help!!! These guns are great and there are so many options for customizing it to your personal needs
