This is one of the cars that helped inspire me to build my all motor ve back in 2012. Now it's 8/25/2019 and now I want to go Turbo goal is 500whp

If fred builds another one its gonna be sick. I'm in the process of building my full out drag sentra. Should run consistently in the mid 9s or faster. This car is using a b15 sr20 trans. I will be using the much much stronger 6 speed from the 04 spec v. Sleeved block by mazworx and fully built by me. Tuned by me. Everything installed by me. No shops here. That's the way it should be lol.
love the original SE-R...fast but also enough of a sleeper that the children in hooded shirts won't steal it!
Thanks man, I feel honored. And yeah my car made quite more than this car and had a broader powerband, Oh and didnt melt a piston from a bad tune. Tune was spot on.

@redking15ca Its whats called a water/ice to air cooler. It creates denser air for better perfomrance.

@DALE97DSM dude, its for the water to air intercooler. That is the holding tank for the water.
And yeah the dyno was done in 4th gear. the guy just skipped gears on the dyno, No need to put it in all the gears.

i love nissan bro!! my first one was the 89 240sx hatchback..got it for 500.00 and spent probaly 2,000.00 had a dodge cummings ram turbo and intercooler custom made on a ka24e sohc engine..had near 350hp untuned then i sold it..DAMN!
@redking15ca that's for the intercooler, because the car isn't in the road, is very easly to get overheated.

the power band is fine for what it is. a fwd drag car needs a bit of lag for traction, if not it'll just spin its ass off. plus a turbo that spools up too quick wont make enough power up top.

i remember back in late 90s, when noone knew what a sentra se-r was. we had a bluebird sr swap and everyone always talk about the fast ass corolla. lol, smoked just about anything in the street with a basic t28 upgrade and 13pounds.

i do believe you are .. mostly right ... sr20 is a 20 valve ... yes this is the sr 16 which once gave the most power per unit of fuel in a n/a engine ... now ferrari holds the title..and i think it was arround 160 hp ... not sure tho

it's got a bad vac leak and doesn't want too idle , runs and drives mint +most people have no idea what the hell it is , just that its faster than them
Im pretty sure you meant SR20 > K20 :P But i get the idea thanks for the support! Nissan and Honda are very similar in lots of ways, I personally like Nissan best because of the parts price, and the reliability of the mecanic itself... (not that Honda are unreliable but I had few bad experience with those) :)
so sick but have you guyz thought of just changing the engine block so a 4wd transfer can be mounted and dropping the engine in a nissan pulsar gtir that would be even sicker if u guyz did gud job

it's fast.... no doubt about it... but honestly i would put my money into something else...and is stupid to say that one car is the king of the street... ANY car with the right amount of money could be that or even faster than this car....thumbs up for the tuners cuz they did a great job!!
true but it ''makes'' more power by actually reducing the volume of the gas (air) , that means you can fit more air in the same volume only with ice , which then equal to more power ;)

It's an SR20VE, a 2.0 liter VVL engine.
wow mad props on the sentra! (y). and i thought all nissan were RWD? oh i drive a 1988 honda accord but im a nissan guy haha. i have some vids posted on here you can check out. working on a turbo set up to see some good number.
umm.. this one.
see when the boost kicks in, its got a lot of power that the front wheels just come loose. but how long does it take to get on the boost after the gas pedal is released? quite along time. (may be 1-2 second, still too long)
see the dyno run too, it looks like normal engine until like about 3000 rpm or so..i personally like continuous and early boost better.

well how about a twin turbo? one smaller one bigger. the smaller boost at lower RPM (also boost the bigger one at that point) then the bigger one can kick in afterward,and the smaller can let off by then.. i'm not proving you wrong here but there are other ways to make that much horse on the same motor.
what are the differents on SR20DET or VET ?
"VET" was on PULSAR (Sunny GTi) right ?
i had a S13 (180sx) but i think the engine is just smoked
block is 1 time repaired "with overbore pistons"
turbo is upgradet by a Saab 2.3 T25
but i think my engine is gone now

and if any one out there has are has had a little 95 sentra 4 door pimp ride what works good on it . it is paid for so time to drop it pimp it and perform it seem like you can do alot to these cars for a couple of grand and have a straight up ride

hey im looking fro some advance on the little 16de can it be built to perform are do i need to start looking. the reason is it is in th ecar and i would like to start doing the body i have built many of hot rods but never a import and it is about time lol just looking for some people that use produce and have the in's and out's so i dont waste my time
i got a 91 sentra 4 door..... this seems like a good mod to do ... to bad i cant afford a neovvl sr ... muchless to do those mods on it

It wasn't a fuel tank it was an ice tank for the intercooler that it has.
looks like it has lots of power but lots of lag too.. it'd be nicer if it starts to boost at lower RPM.

@macphee4 hell i have 550whp in my sentra, (white too btw) and yeah with new falkens it will spin thme till 130mph on the street at 28psi of boost. I run 19psi and made 450whp on pump gas daily driven to work 60 miles round trip, still get 30+mpg on the highway. I love it. All the haters can shove it up their ass cuz you know you would get walked by this thing before you could even tell what it was. F the haters. Oh and to the Cobra comment, better be an 800+whp cobra or its game over for it
There is snow outside and your all wearing jackets. I wonder what the IAT looked like. 30*F? with what could be methanol injection or an intercooler spray bar? What power could this beast make with 110*F weather? :)

I make that power in a B14 WITH A/C & PS & daily drive it 40+ miles daily. What's it doing on a trailer? Does the owner not live near the shop that did the work?
