How do I get gigs in bars? I'm 18 and a bedroom guitarist and can sing. I really need cash to be able to support my education because we are suffering financially and my salary as a service crew is too low. Thanks for the answer from the youtuber or anyone here

This is very helpful! Although in my situation I’m just a singer song writer and all I ever do is open mics around my area. I also have a TH-cam channel with a lot of covers and original work. Finding the correct promoter seems like a difficult task I’m having with as well. I’m also not yet 21 which kinda sparks a problem with bars and such
Keep at it! You’re out there doing open mics which is fantastic. A lot of people find it hard to get to that point.
I'm in the same boat my friend. It's quite frustrating. Esp here in Las Vegas because it's really a dead city for Newer artists versus already made. And there doesn't seem to be any legit angecies for help either.
@@thedasiasimone You know as soon I read that you’re in Las Vegas I thought “that’s really cool” and you’ve just given me some really interesting insight to what it’s like there! It’s like I do with Liverpool here now and again. To try and set yourself apart, make some content (video, podcasts, blog etc) where you can share things about where you live. The outside world is interested! That’s one of the key things that makes you different to the rest of the world, it’s one of your unique qualities. Tell your story, you’re adding value along with your music.

@@MrSteJ that's awesome thank you! I'm in a two man band with a really good drummer (I'm a guitarist and singer) but of course finding a bassist would allow us to play I'm turning 16 soon and I just want to get some experience in gigging early so I can develop later
