How can we get rid of the smell? We paid over $200 for these boots & then had them custom fitted for my husbands brace, which was additional cost. They are genuine leather made in Mexico, name brand Carolina. Our VA insurance will not cover another brace accommodation for at least another 2 years. Remedy please!
I never had my boots smell like this . I put in some boot inserts last week cause my feet hurt and they made my 300 boots smell like cat piss. I too thought a neighbors cat in the hall way pissed on my boots😮😮😮😮😮 I’m s *pissed* off. I’m glad I found this video!
I bought a $270 pair of Carolina driller boots, and they started smelling like that around month 6 or so. I thought it was my daughter's cat and bought new boots.
“Cheap $50 Chinese boot” thing. Nice try, my $250 stamped “Made in the USA” Danner’s are doing it too. It’s the last pair I’ll ever buy from them. I’ve been tearing up work boots for forty some years and NEVER had this problem with good domestic brands. Sorry Danner, but I’m done and telling anyone that’ll listen too.
