I’m 65 year old male, pretty good cook. I have never been able to make biscuits, just copied your recipe and made perfect biscuits. They are just like my mom and grandmother made. Thank you so much!
I was taught to make biscuits the same way-it’s the best way! When I was 4-5 years old I would stand in a chair beside my Mama as she made biscuits and she little-by-little started to let me help her with them until I was able to do them myself. I miss my Mama but I have good memories of things she did with me over the years.
Yes, I learned from watching my mother, my grandmothers, even my Great grandmothers. I asked a lot, they was patient. Even gave me dough, let me make a small pan. I just love Brenda. Never knew there was a National Bisciut Day. Now I do. Thanks. Love, respect, and positivity always. Vee from Georgia.
Wow! After all these years I have found out how my grandmother and my mother in law made biscuits. My grandmother made amazing biscuits. My favorite meal was country fried steak ( or squirrel) and gravy, French fries, slaw, and biscuits. Being a boy, I was interested in other things while she was living. I should have learned from these wonderful women. The only thing I knew was my mother in law used a ancient wooden flower bowl and I never saw her measure anything. She used her hand and in a few minutes she had biscuits. I have made biscuits that were close, but it was by accident. I tried crisco, butter, and liquid oil, at one time I tried mayonnaise. I have made good biscuits for years now,, but not world class biscuits. Today I tried Brenda's way, worked perfectly. Now if I can find the tea or method the old Morrison's, or sometimes Cracker Barrell makes tea, I can die happy. I have tried every tea recipe I could fine, used all the brands, to no avail. Yes, I can brew fantastic tea, but there is a flavor note that is always missing. A little orange extract gives a great flavor, but is not the same.
Makes me smile because she reminds me of my childhood with my mother's same biscuit making method. I miss her so but lots of wonderful memories flooding my soul. Glad Brenda can pass her wisdom on to so many.
The perfect Brenda video to share and keep to remind us just how to perfect your biscuits! I actually switched from my old flour/cream recipe to making/perfecting your tasty/flaky biscuits, yum! So thank-you, Brenda for inspiring us home cooks to try new recipes and strive to do better! My husband and neighbor thank-you too! God Bless you!!
I've always been afraid to make scratch biscuits. I've never has them come out good. Brenda you give me hope.i going to try again after all these years thanks to you.
She's so wonderful. I just love watching her. I learned so much from her. I really would love to meet Ms. Brenda in person. I probably won't because I will never get the money to I'm on disability and just don't have any extra money. So watching her everyday on here I'm happy 😊.
New to your channel and I just fell in love with you! My husband watched with me and he said why didn’t you find this sweet lady sooner?? I love Mark Lowery and loved his tour of the
Brenda, hi from england love your biscuits , if I made less and put yeast in while I'm mixing , and using your way , once made do I need to leave for an hour or can I put them straight into the oven
Glad to see you. I am a Alabama girl too we go to andalusia quite a bit.we have a Cabin on the lake there.I would love be to see where you live. we live close to you.love watching you,,,😊
Love you Brenda I make good Biscuits learned from Mom. She made them the same as you. She learned from her Mom who learned from her Mom My Sister and I learned to cook from Mom and Dad. MY daughter knows a few things but I do the biscuits and most meals. I make good Contry food but can do Italian and Mexican And if I have the recipe I could cook other dishes yum 😋
Griddle not skillet----and mine burnt at 500 degrees in six minutes and were not done in the middle. I am a senior who has made biscuits since I was 8 years old on a farm. I bake mine at 425 in a preheated oven.
M.Brenda, why are you on U-TUBE and not on Facebook? I still love you, and I'll keep watching you, no matter where you are. You are my favorite cook. I'm switching over to Facebook now. Oh, I'm making your biscuits with white lily self rising flower. 💖💐🌻🏵
Hi Brenda, I was cleaning out my Mom’s (91) yrs.) desk and found a small can that was wrapped in contact paper to hold paper clips, etc. Guess what I found under the contact paper…your favorite biscuit cutter (a red can labeled Chef BOY-AR-DEE Hard Grating Cheese can). I am so excited to start using it as my new biscuit cutter. 😊 I tried attaching a picture but can’t find a way to include it here.
I adore Mrs. Gantt & her biscuits. I am loyal to White Lily although I have friends that only use Red Band or Pillsbury...no comparison. Where I live you would never leave flour in a bowl & mix biscuits in it over & over again. It definitely would go rancid & get bugs. I do live in a tropical state. I imagine Betty constantly uses an enormous amount of flour so she could store & use her flour as she suggests. Just be aware.
The show banner blocks view on an iPhone in landscape and the cutting of the camera back and for like an interview is maddening. Going for another Brenda biscuit video on a different channel
First time to see her. Wish she had measured that large egg sized wad of solid fat. Is it shortening or lard? Grenada video, but it doesn’t teach me how to make biscuits.
The transcript is too hard to follow. Couldn’t you just show a quick recipe with ingredients and measurements, with the oven temp and how long to bake?
She's quite adorable, and I would love to spend a day with her in a good old fashion kitchen. But regarding this biscuit recipe... am I dunce? Or did she forget to add salt to the mix? 🤔
I've been trading bitcoin with professor Chris James for some couple of months,😱 he brings me massive returns, guess what? He takes on 15% of total profit.

Are the biscuits still as good the following day?
I think so. I like to put extras in the freezer and just thaw them overnight and warm them up in foil in a toaster oven. Yum!
👑 gotta be good
I am 72 and enjoy you soo much. Love you.
Brenda is excellent, but I don't do Facebook.
I can't make good biscuits. Will need to try this.
Love buttermilk biscuits, but now as a medically induced vegan I can't have things like that
Where is Brenda Gantt today.
Brenda: Forgive me for being cook stupid but what is "grease"? Is it lard? Crisco?
Good evening Brenda
I wonder what it would taste like instead of using just grease useBacon up. Bacon-up is a rendered pig grease you can buy.
Make biscuits are easy
Brenda will tell you that she is only on Facebook.

She's quite adorable, and I would love to spend a day with her in a good old fashion kitchen. But regarding this biscuit recipe... am I dunce? Or did she forget to add salt to the mix? 🤔
She is using self-rising flour and it already has the salt and everything you need in it.
There is salt in self-rising flour.
The banner needs to go.

Let's rate the efficiency of the top investment in the world today:
Cryptocurrency ---- 90%
Stocks ----------------- 45%
Forex ------------------- 40%
Come on, stocks are great, they are lots of earnings
I'll say crypto is much better cos crypto is so easy to trade and Comes with mind blowing profits, 😱. its like you own a company 😁
I trade crypto on my own, but still counting $1000 after 3 weeks, I bought bitcoin. 😥
No, you don't trade crypto your self; it takes much analysis to trade crypto, that can only be done by professional brokers.
I've been trading bitcoin with professor Chris James for some couple of months,😱 he brings me massive returns, guess what? He takes on 15% of total profit.
She embarrassed and humiliated her students on a daily basis.
