I saw this tour at Radio City Music Hall on Valentine's Day. The stage set was a huge, heart-shaped, rotating bed with red satin sheets on it. LOL. Beck got up on it and break-danced. Popped and locked and threw those sheets all over the stage.
It may just be that I'm a huge fan of anything funk, but Beck kills this track. It's such a grand representation of his amazingly creative sound, and easily one of his best songs. In my opinion it's an easy top 3 pick. Behind only "Where It's At" and "Loser".

There's something about nonsense that attracts people. Beck is definitely the Lewis Carroll of pop music, but his attitude transcends the farces of the past with his huge range of musical influences.
Wish the new stuff was this bad ass. The production is solid but this album is one of the all time greatest period. A sonic journey of hyper intelligence tied in with genre breaking bending and connecting goodness. Absolute classic.

I was listening to this album at work last night and now it's bringing back memories of when it was released. My brother and I got it on cassette tape(neon green) 😅 and we played the shit out of it in his 1986 Toyota Camry. Riding around tripping fuckin balls on acid or shrooms. I'm surprised Beck wasn't excommunicated from Scientology for this. Good to see he is open minded and super creative while making amazing music.
Saw him in Vancouver at the 'Plaza of Nations' for the 'Midnight Vultures' tour and the performance was really close to the video. You could sing along cause he didn't stray too far from the album track, energetic. I'll never forget that night. Thanks for taking me Nat.
