Daniel, a couple of things that really help me when I wire wrap a pendant is when you go to wrap the half round wire over the frame wires, put a bit of magic tape either side of where you’re going to put the half round wire. This will hold the wires flat and secure them and makes it easier, so you’re not fiddling trying to hold it flat with one hand whilst winding the wire with the other, as it will free up both hands and keep the wires in place. You can clean the wires after with a bit of surgical spirit or alcohol. The other thing I do is when putting the wire frame on the pendant is again to stick the wires to the pendant until you've shaped and secured them on it, making sure you put the tape under or just above where you are moving the wire. It secures the whole thing and frees up both hands to manipulate the wire. Again a tiny bit of alcohol to remove any stickiness. I've wire wrapped a lot of pendants and these two things are what I always do and made all the difference when I started doing it. You can use both magic tape or masking tape. Not Sellotape though, as that's difficult to remove.
Hello Daniel, i am new to watching your videos, thank you so much. I am a beginner and love your ideas. Greatly appreciated, cheers, Elaine (from Yorkshire go California)
Nice job Daniel. I don't know if you're still reading your old stuff but if you are that's pretty good job for not knowing how to wire with beautiful.. I've been doing why are we for about 10 years now I'm just starting to do resin. Never been in line and I've never tried selling anything. I love your videos and I'm learning a lot from you. Can I just might start a TH-cam channel now. Thank you for all your beautiful videos and all your hard work.
You've done a good job with the wire wrapping. If you draw the wires through your fingers a few times it'll warn the wire & make it more pliable. Use your needle nose pliers to make right angled turns and any lengths you cut off keep as they can be used on other projects. Keep wrapping 😊
@@daniel..cooper I think you do great, I couldn't do it, I'd be a jibbering wreck. I love to share what I know but I couldn't do a class or run a TH-cam channel!! Keep up the fab work 👍🏻
Great idea for the resin cab. I'm impressed with your wire wrapping. It's not easy with slippery resin. I started off wire wrapping and have evolved to resin. Just remember to run the wire through your finger to straighten it and warm it. That way the wire is more maleable.😉
I Love the "show me how" video, you make the video so a beginner like me can make something beautiful (Yours is beautiful!) even though I am just a beginner! I love all your tutorials because you walk us through each step slow enough that even slowski me can keep up.....thank you!
I think you did very well with the wire wrapping, I keep having a dabble but am not brilliant at it. I tend to watch Kelly Jones and imbali crafts for wrapping tutorials. Both are very clear instructions and turn out lovely. Thankyou for sharing your designs, I am learning a lot about resin.x
What a beautiful piece!! Amazing how it takes the original piece to a different level 😊 Wire wrapping takes practice, but you did a fantastic job!! If you need some extra help with wire wrapping, I can suggest Matt’s Crazy Art (his older videos), CSLdesigns and Cheryl St. Pierre. They helped me 😊
Ohhh, wow! I knew doming with resin seemed to magnify things a little bit, but it never occurred to me to put smaller pieces into larger settings. Those look twice as big as they really are! Thank you for doing this, Daniel! I love copper wire, but I've never used it; just stainless steel and brass wires for making Rosaries. You did such a good job on the wrapping - what a great tutorial! I've been wanting to learn wire wrapping, but gosh...another hobby to do! LOL! Guess I'll take it up, after all. 😅
I loved watching you wire wrap , its something I've always been scared to try incase I just make a complete mess lol , you are an inspiration ❤ love your work xx
Very beautiful! I like you showed some wire wrapping! I’ve been doing a little here and there myself so to see you work some gave me some nice ideas of use of some wire I have and wasn’t sure what to do with it! Thank you for your time and effort! ❤️❤️❤️
That is so pretty!!! I just started wire wrapping a couple months ago and have made a couple pieces with shells and polished stones. It can be frustrating, but I love it!!! My next endeavor is to make a half wooden/half resin ring. 😳 wish me luck!
WoW Daniel, that looks amazing! Well all I can say is that for a first attempt, it’s absolutely beautiful. Your a very talented artist! Thank you so much for kindly sharing your wonderful creations again! ❌☘️🥰
Amazing jewellery item, I've tried wire wrapping myself and actually sold a piece I'd made. I have to say it's a dark art lol. But practice helps and I have watched a few of oxana's tutorials, everything she makes is perfection. This is also a great tutorial 👍
That turned out beautiful! That’s a great idea to do a larger pour to magnify your pieces. I haven’t done any wire wrapping, you did a wonderful job. I do know one trick though, for those moments when you need 3 hands.😅 You can wrap an elastic band around the handles of needle nose pliers and that will hold them tight around the wire. I can’t remember where I saw that but, it seemed to work well.
Great video, Daniel! Love the piece that you used, looks like a stormy sea! I was wondering who made the bracelet that you're wearing? I think I remember you mentioning it once but I can't find that video... And your wire wrapping skills are fine, no worries, haha!
It turned out Beautiful, don't be so hard on yourself, its gorgeous and something i definitely want to try, just hope my sausage fingers can cope with the fiddlyness 🤣
Hello Daniel , superbe , j'adore !!! Peux tu me dire où tu trouves ces pinces avec protection stp ? les miennes n'en n'ont pas, je suis en Suisse ... Merci beaucoup 🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤
