Traveling with pets in flight in airindia spicejet. What happens when dog is sitting next to you

Imagine boarding a flight with a dog sitting next to you!
The chances are rare as the pet owners are given a seat in the last row of the plane. But I’m still curious if you have ever traveled with a pet?
Also, for those of you who don’t know, only pets lesser than 5Kgs are allowed in the cabin, rest go in cargo!
I know a lot of people don’t want to suffocate or scare their pets in cargo so they prefer travelling in trains than flights.
For pet owners:
I recommend checking out the pet specific guidelines from the airlines you are travelling with. Also make sure to check the latest ones as the rules keep changing.
Here is a high level step by step guide:
* Health Certificate: Obtain a health certificate from a registered veterinarian. This certificate should state that your pet is in good health and fit to travel. Make sure it is issued within the specified timeframe required by the airline, usually within 10 days of travel.
* Vaccination Records: Ensure your pet's vaccinations are up to date, including rabies vaccination. Carry the vaccination records with you as airlines may ask for them.
* Microchip or Tattoo: Some airlines may require pets to have a microchip or a visible tattoo for identification purposes. Check with your airline for their specific requirements.
* Airline-Specific Forms: Fill out any necessary forms provided by the airline. These forms may include details about your pet's breed, weight, age, and crate dimensions.
* Pet Crate: Purchase an airline-approved pet crate that meets the size and safety standards set by the airline. The crate should be spacious enough for your pet to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably.
* Booking Process:
* a. Contact the airline in advance to inquire about their pet travel policies and fees.
* b. Make a reservation for your pet as early as possible, as there may be limited space for pets on flights.
* c. Provide all necessary documentation and information about your pet during the booking process.
* Day of Travel:
* a. Arrive at the airport well in advance to complete check-in procedures for your pet.
