- If you have a catand you want to take the cat in a flight along with you, you need to watch this video.
Currently 2 flights allow pets in their cabin in India
-Air India and Akasa Airways.
I opted for Air India and here are the things required,
1. Cat must be fully vaccinated and a fit to fly certificate issued by a licensed vet within 70 hours of travel is required.
1. Only the cats who are under 5kgs are allowed in the Cabin and Air India charges 650rs for per kg of the cat while Akasa Airways lets you carry pet upto 7kgs in weight for free.
2. Cat must be in a container and a label with name and other details must be affixed on the container, A moisture absorbent mat must be placed inside as well.
3. Pregnant pets are not allowed.
4. You will only be allowed to sit at the last row of the cabin irrespective of the seat you booked beforehand.
5. Visit the airport atleast 3 hours before your flight for the hassle free procedure to take place. Rest of the details are in description.
P.s - The final call will be taken by the pilots during the flight boarding which is 99.9 percent yes which sometimes differs depending upon the passengers travelling with some health issues.
Note - This video is not sponsored by anyone I made it for the information purposes.
Few days back i took my cat from Bangalore to mumbai in air india and ill highly suggest you take your cat from air india cause unlike akasa who charges flat 7.5k, air India charges according to cats weight and same for cargo too and you can use soft cage(i guess)to which will again save you some money
@@tii7237 Even I took my cat from Air India.. it’s reasonable.
Akasa ground staff gave me the wrong enquiry about the charges.. that’s why I mentioned its free of cost but in actual its not.
Informative👍🏻
😻🥰 thank you
Informative and plz help because I want to go with my cat from Australia to India 🇮🇳 where my family lives 🙂
It's completely misinformation Akasa charges Rs 7500 it's not free .
Air India and akasa Airways allow karti hai pets ko 🙂
Hi.. Thanks for such informative video..Can you also please share where did you fly with your cat and from where did you board the flight???
Hey.. thank you 😊 I boarded in Mumbai for Varanasi.
Akasa charges Rs.7500 it is not free
I flied when the Airline Akasa just started to that route.
I met the ground staff during my return to Mumbai in Varanasi when they told me about Akasa including they offer a free pet travel up to 7kgs.. so yes that was a false information later when I checked they have a fix amount for the pets so as Air India.. I never flied with Air Akasa till now.
Hello. What's the breed of your cat?
I've come to know that Persian breeds face problem due to their narrow nasal pasaage in cabin flight.
I also wanna fly my persian cats in cabin. Your information will help a ot!
TIA❤
Hi, I have a persian cat only I didn’t face any such issues. But before you fly with your cat you have to consult with your vet, I think they would be right person to tell you about the above issues taking your cat health routine and checkup in mind accordingly they give the ‘fit to fly certificate’. ☺️
Cheating hai giveaway mai mrko aapke hath se chiya watch ☹️😩
Mam was the flight smooth was the cat fine as I am planning to travel Mumbai to Bangalore
Yes.. It was a smooth journey.. the only problem was..that the airlines allot the last seat of the flight to the pet traveler..
I was also flying with my kitty for the first time so I checked on her time to time specially during the takeoff and after landing.. If possible carry your pets favourite treat which you can feed them while keeping them in there carrier.. as taking out pet from there box is not allowed.. Rest you know well how can make your pet comfortable may be by communicating with them time to time… May you have a safe and healthy journey
@@TantraSharma yes I will do it thanks so much and what was ur total cost ?
They charged 650rs per kgs including your carrier weight.. and my pets weight was around 4kgs.. and her carrier was around 1 kgs so I paid somewhere around 3.5k.
@@TantraSharma thanks for prompt answer I hope all goes well when I travel with my baby
@@digitalnomad29 yes.. don’t worry.. Have a safe journey 🙌🏻😻
Can you pls mention the dimensions of the carrier or the product link?
46 cm/ 18 in x 46 cm/ 18 in x 30 cm/ 12 in
Dimensions of your pet carier please?
46 cm/ 18 in x 46 cm/ 18 in x 30 cm/ 12 in.
@@TantraSharma thank you ❤️
Export permit???
I think its not required.. you anyway get the final call from the pilot depending upon numbers of pet travelling in the flight.
I want to travel with my cat to uae from india please help me with process and documents required
Hi, I have no information regarding the international journey. You can contact the airlines you are planning to travel with..they will guide you the best.
But the documentations I have mentioned in the video is definitely a must if you are taking your cat.
@@TantraSharma thnx
Is this cat scuby
No
Are 2 cats allowed.. 8 months kittens?
I am not sure about this. If you will call the airlines they will guide you more properly.
All I know that your cat weight should be under 5 kgs in Air India and 7 kgs in Akasa Airlines.
Air Akasa has fixed amount - not free to travel, one has to buy pet ticket if traveling with pet in cabin.
