Thanks for mentioning- let the base coat cure for a day. I found when applying French tips, the base shrunk and made the rest out of place. I will follow the “let it be”advice. Many thanks
@@TKelleyBeauty I am especially fond of the Paris manicure. I have always loved French tips and this set makes it so very easy. I am a newbie, less than a year with the product. Trying new approaches as I watch tutorials. Gaining my collection to try tome of them. Your point was one of the issues I faced. And I experienced last night the effect of the strips not being sealed airtight during storage and how badly those applied. It’s a great product. Thanks for your response and query.
How do you keep those little pieces from drying sitting waiting for you. Similarly, keeping the cut pieces from drying. The unbelievable patience. I've tried this and the brand strips didn't want to adhere even as I was advised to try using the alcohol pad over my base color wrap. The individual braid strips dried too much as I could see it.
Hey Amanda, thanks for watching!! You can always keep your extras in the package so they don’t dry out. But what is probably happening, is if you’re not getting good adhesion you could be over handling them which is totally common during a design attempt. We have tons of oils in our fingertips and if we over handle the sticky side, those oils transfer causing the strip to not want to adhere like it should! I recommend washing your hands really well with Dawn soap before application, and even using the alcohol pad across the nails and even the pads your fingertips! You can also put the cut pieces on the backing of a strip so then you are handling the backing versus the sticky part if that makes sense? It’s called the anchor trick and allows you to handle the strip via the backing vs touching the sticky part while applying! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you for this great video! My first attempt at the braid went well!
Love the creativity! Your nails look so pretty, too 😍
Thank you!!!

@@jchestand4122 awesome! Glad you're enjoying them! Do you have a regular stylist you work with or do you just buy from parties/events?
