    Great video. This information needs to get out to the people who need it. I’ll certainly be including this info in any content I make surrounding shin splints. Much credit to yourself and the runners zone for getting this great info into people’s hands.

    Thanks for the info Nathan. I've been dealing with bilateral medial tibial stress fractures since 2019 (confirmed with nuclear bone scan). I'm hoping 2023 is the year I'm able to get back to my old running self. The weirdest part about return to run progressions is that my cardio fitness is still solid but I need to force myself to take it easy for the sake of my bones. My brain is screaming at me to speed up and chase the runners high. No wonder I keep getting reinjured.

    Great video. Just had my 3rd reoccurrence in the space of 16 months. Haven't been able to string a decent week of training together since the first injury. These things are a nightmare to return from!

    Thank you very much, the videos you provide about that subject are amazing and have helped me a lot. I wanted to ask, what if I am doing rehab exercises and I don't experience any pain during the exercise, but I do feel pain afterwards?

    My mistake was that I was not eating adequately when I was training.

    Should the pain be very intense? If it hurts and i can endure the pain, is it ok to run every other day? What should be the intensity of pain for me to stop running for a while?

    I first went to A&E with concerns of a stress fracture. After months of pushing I finally got a MRI scan and have been diagnosed with a Webber A and B fracture in the outside ankle bone. I'm still waiting for any sort of treatment.

    Where do simple stress reactions appear in this continuum?

    • @NathanCarlson
      @NathanCarlson  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can think of bone stress injuries on as a spectrum with stress reactions being the least severe.
      Stress reactions -> stress fracture -> full fracture.

      @machado6377 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be weeks to months. Only go to the next stage when you feel fully confident and you are getting NO pain!
