@@benjaminvattimo3252 that's exactly what myself and many others have been saying. Nascar doesn't want the reputation of their new car getting tarnished with a potential injury. Definitely not uncommon for Nascar to hide things as we've seen in the past with many different circumstances.
Brad K has gone from being a top contender each week and winning races to running mid pack or back of the field. Such a shame from how dominant and strong Roush racing used to be.
Yep. I love brad and admire how much he loves the sport and it needs people like him to stick around as owners. Would love to see him run up front especially in his own equipment
Brad messed up 1 of 2 ways: 1. Buying into roush. Roush is a has been race organization. I get it he wants to be percentage owner in a team however he would of been better to finish his career at Penske then once he retires. 2. Start Brad k racing (basically like Tony Stewart). He went on camera saying he wants to turn around roush but I think it’s beyond hope.
@@BoostedDeere I have to agree. Roush has been garbage for a long time. I feel like he should have driven for a team as long as possible and then invested in owning a team. Idk if staying at Penske was an option or not but even if he wanted to be an owner driver maybe he should have started his own team instead of trying to fix all the problems roush seems to have
@@alanluscombe8a553 -I think the big fight with mr Penske was team ownership. He wouldn’t sell Brad a percent of the team. I honestly think there wasn’t bad or hard feelings other than that. That was the big hold up for Brad.
@@BoostedDeere yeah makes sense. It did seem like things were getting difficult with brad and Joey and brad not being as successful as he once was but I do think he could have stayed.
After the duels I was excited to see what this team held and it has been downhill ever since. Chris has been okay given where that car is but Brad being that far down is shocking to say the least. It’s a long way to go for the team, but as of right now this is bad. I expected ALOT more
Me too, but I think this is Brads way of staking longevity in the sport. I mean he's talking about top 15's as if they were top 5's lately so it seems as though he's adjusted his expectations.
I'm an Avid Brad Keselowski Fan ,I didn't like him when he wrecked Carl Edward's the way he did, I'm also an AVID FORD fan, been watching NASCAR since Roush had 5 cars in the Game. Although Brad won the Cup championship for PENSKE in 2012 he was driving a Dodge ,then PENSKE switched to FORDS!.BY the way I'm from Michigan, a town about 35 miles from Rochester hills where Brad Keselowskis from . I think the main reason he Quit PENSKE is his team mate Joey Lagono started driving him Dirty .
Became a fan of Mark Martin when he and Roush exploded on the scene during the 1989 season. However, I think Roush brought a lot of the problems on himself in the last few years first by being so demanding with sponsorships. The sponsors were not willing to pay what Jack wanted so they slowly went away till it got to the point where Roush got desperate enough to take the smaller amounts but that also hurt the performance of the team. I think that Roush was further hurt by Penske and then SHR when it comes to the relationship with Ford. Look how fast Roush went downhill once Penske switched back to Fords when Dodge bolted at the same time they were having the sponsorship issues. To add insult to injury in Jack's eyes his best drivers left to drive for Toyota which Roush despises. The final blow was SHR becoming Ford and Roush went even further down the Ford pecking order to Front Row territory. Sad to see it happening but if Dodge does come back and SHR moves over to Dodge it might be the best thing for RFK as they would move back up the ladder in Ford's eyes because I am pretty sure that Roush will remain loyal to Ford.
The 6 has consistently had one of the fastest pit crews this year and the cars have at least been reliable. Terrible first year, but I have a strong feeling that Brad will have that team in MUCH better shape next year.
Even though I am a Keselowski fan, my expectations were not that high for year 1. Unfortunately though it has been a pretty rough ride ever since daytona, and the penalty made it worse. I just hope it gets turned around so next year they are more competitive.
As a Hendrick Fan. Keep digging for Brad K and Roush.. they will get out of it. maybe a bad season. but they will learn a little more before the year is up and might get better going into late season into next. Penske seems to have a bigger backing from ford then Roush seems to have... so never give up hope!
RFK paint schemes are badass this year. It's a shame they can't run up front with them. I don't think Brad realized the true scale of the task assigned to him and just how awful Roush Fenway Racing had become. He either should have tried to stay at Penske or sign with another competitive team. He is only 38 and IMO has a good amount of years left in the tank but if the organization continues performing like this he won't have much of a career left. I've never been a Brad fan, but nothing would make me happier than that iconic #6 car becoming competitive again.
@@seanmckean0727 Well said!!! I'm a huge Kurt fan, have been my entire life. He's made every team better! Love Kurt's time in the 41, will never forget that 500 win!
Roush had success in the early 2000s because they pushed more horsepower than anyone else without blowing engines. Jack roush essentially rejected the idea of computer models, simulation and any modern engineering. That’s what killed them. They drivers had very little to do with it.
Long haul….I honestly think RFK will be ok. Brad succeeds at everything he does. It might be a 3-4 year overhaul but I am confident in him and what he will be able to accomplish. Just my opinion! 🤙🏻
I'm a big Buescher fan and I think for their equipment and how the trend of the team has been looking like so far, Buescher and Keselowski have been doing pretty well (besides the penalty) and I think by the end of the season, one of them will at least have a win.
@@brandonsettle8089 Honestly as a former Roush Fan who came back to them with Brad, the team has been slowly going downhill since Mark left imho, they just used to have the talent to mask the decline, but eventually the decline in the cars was going to catch up to them and bring down the talent.
I think the future of RFK depends in part on how much Brad was aware of what was happening beneath the sheet metal during his time at Penske and, assuming he was knowledgeable, how quickly he help translate that both to the next gen car AND to RFK as a whole to bring them fully into the 21st century. It may take a few changes in the shop and a ton of Sim time for the drivers as well.
It's sad to see Roush fall. I blame Roush for getting lazy and bringing Fenway in when he ran the team amazingly on his own. He somehow let Kenseth get away and eventually, Edwards also jumped ship. Lack of sponsorships with Kenseth and the insane amount of mismanagement really hurt the team. Biffle paid the price for staying, but to be fair, he wasn't a great drive by the end of his career. Buescher's IMO has some untapped potential.
@@shawnschaitel838 Carl was getting sponsors though. 3M was still a solid sponsor for Biffle as well. It was mainly Kenseth who didn’t have anything other than Best Buy and Zest. Also not to mention the busts that came from Nationwide with Stenhouse and Bayne.
@@ih0p72 I wouldn't say Bayne or Stenhouse are bust. Listen, Roush died after the COT. In the Gen 6 era, they only have 6 wins. 1 with Greg Biffle, 3 with Edwards, and 2 with Stenhouse. Ever since the COT ended they iust haven't been the same. Hell, 2012 Greg Biffle was the regular season point leader going into the chase. Greg Biffle managed to point his way into the chase in 2014 but after that it just sucked for them.
RFK Racing is what I expected year 1, they had a great Superspeedway package before hand that was showcased at Speedweek, but needed to build the rest of the program pretty much from the ground up. Honestly, I think people were very naive on there being an immediate turn of fortune. But they've shown sparks they didn't have last year, Buescher winning the pole at Dover I thought was a big deal cause they haven't had speed on short/1 mile tracks for years. What I think they really need to consider is adding a third car, to bounce additional data off each other to improve the team. It's no coincidence the best teams right now are generally 4 car teams, more data equals more ability to improve the cars and success.
@@mattrzewnicki6343 That's why I said "generally". Plus their first year did not go so well right out the gate, but have made massive steps forward by expanding to a 2nd car, also same can be said for 23XI.
@@mattrzewnicki6343 Okay. BUT Brad Keselowski has 1 Win, 1 Top 5, 1 Top 10 and his worst finish at Gateway was when Carl Edwards wrecked him for the win in 2010? 2009? So even though it's a different package and a cup car instead of Xfinity I feel like the whole "Seat time" excuse doesn't work as same as Brad different vehicle but Zane didn't do as well in his 3 starts with two top 10s and a sub 30th place finish.
@@Quirked_Up_Cowboy The track has had a repair since Brad ran it back in 09 and 10. It’s a different track with the pavement change. Zane ran the day before, Brad didn’t.
@@mattrzewnicki6343 Okay, but Joey who won, has also had similar experiences to brad on the track with from what I can see at least 1 top 5, so why does it matter still? With him winning it somewhat proves that the seat time even way back then was useful. Now if you were talking about Byron and Atlanta whole new ballgame as Byron used to be horrible at Atlanta with only 1 top 10 but then with the new configuration won first time despite no prior seat time it was just that he runs good on the super speedways/2 mile tracks.
As a Brad fan this year has been painful. He needs to put the K in RFK and get a new CC and take more charge of the team. Jack is getting old and Brad needs to take charge.
See that’s funny is before Buescher’s flip and covid, Buescher was doing decent. He hasn’t had a good season so far, but he’s been doing alot better than Brad K
Remember all the hype involving 23XI and Trackhouse last year? It took them the 2nd year just get team operations correct before getting the cars working correctly. Rome wasn't built in one day. Also generally the Ford's that aren't Penske affiliated are behind the eight ball. I think next year with more experience with the new car and in general operating with a new owner with better expectations and experience of how the modern NASCAR world works. Roush can finally make take their first steps. A win will also help morale as well.
This is sad. Always been a long time Roush fan, from the drag racing in the 70's and road racing in the 80's to NASCAR. Since Cousin Carl left it's been all downhill. Honestly when Fenway came on board I felt that was the beginning of the free fall. Now they are just back markers/ Field fillers
as a side note to Roush in the early days....in se. Michigan back in the 70's, if you had a Ford to build you went to Gapp n Roush to get your street rod's engines tooled and machined, they were the drag pros with the best goodies in the mid west!
When I heard he was going to be driver and part owner of the six car I new his days of winning races was over. Jack rouch his a very frugal man who won’t pay the price for a good engineer. Mark martin was successful because he set his own race cars up the way he wanted it to drive.
You don't know what your talking about! ,back in the day when Roush had 5 cars and teams towards the end of races along of times 4or 5 them were in the top 10 if not top 5 cars at the End of races! .Every Ford Vehicle in Nascar Including the Truck series, Exfinity series and Arca series all have ROUSH, YATES based Engines, Chassis components are all the same for every Ford Team Roush Fenway wouldn't Skrimp on Less Qualified Mechanical Engineers!.
I met Chris Buescher at Charlotte before the Coke 600 race. He was super nice and humble. It bums me that he wrecked in the final stage of that race.. he was doing well. Just glad he was ok after the flip though. About everyone in the stands clapped and cheered when Chris got out of the car
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT I mean, I kind of view RFK Racing, as the kind of like the Miami Dolphins of NASCAR, (meaning that they haven't improved in a long time)....
I was totally wrong about Brad K and thinking he’d lift Roush back into relevancy like did with JR Motorsports and Penske. Maybe the 2nd half of the season will be better, maybe not. It’s sad to see though as I’m a lifelong fan of his.
Give Brad a chance, this is the 1st year he's at the team so he hasn't had a chance to make necessary changes, although I feel it needs to start in the ownership role, Roush is getting too old and losing touch with the superteams of Hendrick and JGR, over the years those teams have gotten quality drivers while Roush has gotten lackluster talent, Bayne was a one hit wonder and Stenhouse couldn't take care of the equipment, then he made it worse by getting Ryan Newman, who was clearly past his prime and Chris Buescher who lucked into a win at Pocono due to weather, maybe it's time to give Zane Smith a chance in a Cup car and see if that inproves performance or nor
I'm hoping the Future of RFK will get better but it's not gonna happen overnight. This is definitely gonna be a long term build up and hopefully next season RFK can score a win for both driver's
The new car has shaken the order of the Cup Series, but not turned it topsy-turvy. Trackhouse being as strong as they are is really the only big change; otherwise the "pecking order" among the teams is largely the same as it has been for the last 6 or 7 years, like Formula 1 tends to be.
I think Brad overestimated how much of an equalizer the next gen would be you still need fast cars and RFK hasn’t had them since Daytona. I don’t have much hope in them turning it around this year but what do I know maybe Brad or Buescher will pull an Almirola and win at Louden or something.
makes you wonder about how good someone like Stenhouse actually is. Dude was actually relatively competitive with Roush and is yet to truly have good equipment under him in Cup.
I like it better when Brad Keselowski was driving for Team Penske in the 2. He had more wins and a championship in the 2 driving for Roger Penske. Moving to the 6, yes it is legendary because Mark Martin was dominant in the 6 car, but when Brad moved from the 2 to the 6, he hasn't got a single win or a top 10 yet.
I’m a Brad fan, and I’m going to be a little biased, I know he hasn’t had the year but I do think it’s because he’s bad or washed, I think it’s like a new team new chemistry type deal and this next gen car isn’t helping so I think it’s just kind of getting the bearings right now and fight harder next season, I think this year is a building year
I am very optimistic about RFK. Brad coming over should bring a new light in management, if....everyone can get along. Ford in general has been lacking in performance, so I can't just point the finger to Roush. Yes, Penske has shown up to play, but they are a high caliber team. Look at Stewart Hass, overall, they have been terrible the last two seasons. I think part of the blame should be put on Ford, which sucks because I am a Ford guy.
In 2020 Ford won 18 races with Harvick winning 9. Harvick hasn't won since 2020, Did Doug Yates forget how to build Ford HP, or did NASCAR's two favorite brands GM and Toyota get a mid-season engine upgrade? I heard Gordon say that they got a boost in power from GM. TS is a bad owner, too interested in Drag racing to keep on top of NASCAR
As a Brad Keselowski fan he's got a big hill to climb hope he can find a win before the year is over had high hopes after the duels and Daytona 500 been down hill since then
As another brad fan, last nights race at Bristol was bittersweet. Brad definitely had a very good chance of winning. He was in the lead 2 seconds ahead of 2nd (and it was growing). He showed great speed all day and it was very disappointing when he blew a tire because the new car is garbage. But i am glad that buescher won.
Roush has performed worse this year compared to last year. After the Daytona Duels, nearly everything went wrong. Keselowski got a 100 point penalty in Atlanta and Buescher just missed a race. Roush has been on the decline since 2014 with Carl Edwards holding off Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon at Sonoma for their last cup win not on a superspeedway. Their last great season was in 2012. The Matt Kenseth Effect instantly made Roush worse and the 20 team at JGR great again.
Brad is going to have to either get his head fully on the track to be a better driver or get his teams lined up properly from the side lines and get someone like Zane Smith from the lower series to take over the 6
Well ,have you noticed Brad and Harvick have been running about the same this year ? their usually about in the same track position nearly every race, don't Underestimate Keselowskis driving he's a Veteran with better driving skills than he's Shown this year GAURANTEED!
Look at RFK's satellite team in Front Row Motorsports. McDowell has 5 top 10s so far; more than both RFK drivers combined. Todd Gilliland has an avg finish finish of 22.9 in his rookie season; only 2 position behind the RFK duo's 19.1-.5 finishing positions.
I think Brad Keselowski's penalty is the big reason for why RFK Racing is where it is at, now. I knew Brad and Chris probably weren't going to set the world on fire this year, but that they'd at least have decent seasons. While Buescher is doing well for the most part and getting better each year, Keselowski so far hasn't done anything. By the way, I hope Buescher is okay.
It has been a struggle, that much is obvious, but I do believe that a Talledega win would surprise noone. I'm interested to see their 2nd trips to these tracks to see what improvements they make to gauge quality of the team. That will guide my expectations going forward.
Brad is got to Grind it out to make the Playoffs even with a win. He should be an Upset Winner like Aric Almirola in New Hampshire last year when Aric was Sitting 28th in the Standings and Brad is Current 30th just Similar to Aric's 2021 Season when SHR Was in Trouble. I think RFK is going to take some little step-ups, like if Brad Finished 20th in Gatway He will have to Finish in top 15 at Sonoma and top 10 and top 5 until RFK Becomes Competitive Again
I'm a big roush fan ever since I've been watching nascar. But I think it's time for them to close up the shop and just either sell the remaining equipment or merge with another team they can't compete anymore at this level ☹️
If RFK had been established in 2021 I would have been surprised at the season they're having this year. Making large changes to a race team organization AND learning a whole new car all in the same year is a LOT. Also look how a lot of the other Ford teams are running this year, seems like a lot of teams are still struggling with finding speed.
I remember being told that if the car is better than the driver it’ll be okay and you will finish where the driver is capable of putting it, but if the driver is better than the car they’ll become over frustrated and run worse because they’ll try to push the car past where it’s capable. I see a lot of those issues in keslowski especially in the beginning of the season. I do hope he starts doing well and can get a win with his father recently passing. That as well could be affecting his mind.
It will take a couple years before Brad can make positive changes and perhaps 'retire' Jack Roush to a consulting position. Jack is still the major force there and from few recent photos I've seen of him, is seemingly declining health wise. Watching Brad's driving this year is almost painful - is it crew chief or....? RFK will be back as a force but when.
I think this season has said way more about the team than it did Brad Keselowski. They will be back with Keselowski behind the wheel. You can see the finishes and results gradually increase within just these past weeks. Penalties early in the season crippled their hopes for a playoff run.
Brad is my favorite driver but he single handedly executed his career leaving Penske. Terrible Terrible decision!!! Hard to cheer for a top tier driver in a bush league organization 😕
Not really a terrible decision. He wasn't really getting along with his teammates, and he also gets the addition of being an owner. Sure, short term it's not good but I feel long term it's good
I think that we kind of jumped the gun, and expected a little bit too much, too soon... and hopefully they can turn things around very gradually (which is how Chris Buescher won his 2015 Xfinity Championship)
Not gonna lie I kind of expected Roush to struggle a lot this year, maybe if they were lucky grab a superspeedway win. That said, I think that Keslowski will help turn this team around, but its going to take a few years in my opinion. I don't think Roush will ever reach the glory of its hay day again with multiple championship caliber drivers, but I see them reaching a level of say what RCR is today.
@@Dratchev241 I could see that, but I think its probably at a plate (i know its not plates anymore) track or reconfigured Atlanta. They just haven't showed the speed on the non superspeedways.
@@JerryW1189 I think it comes down to one of two things, 1 they get a plate win, or 2 something clicks and they figure something out and start running well. 1 is more likely but in racing anything is possible.
I don't see Roush going back to the old glory days, but I know they can be better. It's just gonna take time. Admittedly, I was hoping we would see an SHR type situation with immediate success, but I know that's wishful thinking. I hope RFK can reclaim just a tiny bit of its former glory, but time will tell.
I was maybe one of few that was excited for RFK this season. I thought maybe Brad K would help bring Rousch up to speed with the times that Martin and others have admitted that they desperately need. I think Brad K can do that but maybe not wearing as many hats as he is right now
well add in a new car to the mix, its going to be rough. they would hit it out of the gate or struggle. looks like its struggle but they ain't the only ford team with struggles. also the penalty to Brad K don't help as well.... but me thinks nascar being shaddy nascar didn't tell teams exactly what they could and couldn't do to the cars, it wouldn't be the first time nascar was shady about stuff.....
Brad should have just stayed with the Captain or at least until they got all the bugs out of this new next gen car. Brad is a lot better driver than what he is finishing these days.
Brad never should’ve left Penske. He was at the top of his game with them. It was baffling to me when he announced he was going to Roush. He leaves a top tier championship contending team in penske to go to inferior equipment with Roush. Never made sense to me. And now he’s paying the consequences.
I think this is more of big picture kind of thing for him, similar to Denny and 23XI and Tony Stewart and Stewart-Haas. Yes its not as good of a car as Penske, but he can try to elevate the team and it gives him a career as an owner once his driving days are done. Brad's in his late 30s and probably has 5-7 years left in the seat, and this gives him some security for when he retires. Is it the best choice, maybe not but I can't fault him for going for it and it's gonna be a few years before we can say for certain if it was good or bad.
1) Idk if they planned on Cindric joining Penske this season (maybe he goes to the 21?) 2) Brad didn't seem to want to be there anymore anyway with his feuds with Logano in recent years. Like he said, sure it's not good for him now but hopefully this pans out for him long-term
But....the cars are the same now. Remember, this is the "Spec NASCAR" era now. Only real difference may be in the engines and setups. Not a team designed chassis anymore. So, it's not really inferior equipment.
@@mattrzewnicki6343 What you are missing is engineering time. There always have been specifications to bring parity and tighten the competition from top to bottom. The difference is the in house engineering of each team to maximize the performance of the chassis and car. It may be a new car and there are some new players that are more competitive but the same teams who were at the top previously are at the top now…
It honestly reminds me of when Michael Waltrip came into an ownership role. He left a still solid DEI team (when they finished) to start his own team and was hit with a massive penalty in 2007. The setback deterred there entire season. And much like Buescher the next few years would best be remembered for a massive flip. It wasn't until they brought Reutimann into the team when they started an upward trend. And not until Bowyer when they began to vie for titles.
I think when Roush Racing was successful in the past Jack Roush was very hands on with running the team. With him getting older and less involved I don't know if I see rapid improvements coming. It has been a slow decline the last 20 or so years
Zane Smith's 17th place run makes me wonder will RFK or Front Row add a 3rd car for him. Before you ask were would charter come from and my answer is Rick Ware, the 15 doesn't have full sponsorship and one less Rick Ware car on the track the better.
Roush wasn't really up front before Kes got there. I really think Kes is laying a very firm foundation for the future, they really haven't looked really bad at times they have been up in the top ten, but they are far from challenging for a win except maybe at a super speedway.
It's always the Fords that get the short end of the stick. Trackhouse is gaining steam with Chevys and Pitbull, and 23X1 is starting to gain ground out of a shaky start with ill-produced Toyotas and Space Jam. RFK is the horse that tripped just out of the starting gate, started off strong, then descending into crash per race
I think it will take a few years for them to even get close to championship contention again. The old Roush Racing has been dead for years now and they are going to have to rebuild a culture of winning from scratch. I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the season a lot of big changes are made and if changes aren't made I could see Brad looking back at this move as potentially being a mistake.
The full impact of Brad coming over to the team won't be truly felt until a few years and Brad gets guys that he wants in there. It is gonna take some time to fix the way the team has been run and the future of the team might not include Jack Roush if it wants to get better.
If I were Roush I would get Zane Smith as soon as possible in your cars. I’d also take a look at Carson Hocevar or Brett Moffitt as possible second car drivers once Brad retires
Not to be a Debbie Downer but I’ve listened to the 6 radio throughout the season and have come to the conclusion Matt McCall isn’t cutting it. Brad and TJ have asked him questions that he should continually know the answer to but there is no answer or the answer is “we’re working on it.” An example of this is at the Coca Cola 600 Brad asked Matt how many sets of tires were left several times and Matt’s answer was “I’m working on it.” Before finally telling him how many they had. This shows a lack of preparation and awareness of the situation. If he was a sports ball coach he would have already been replaced.
With rouch as your base it should be a great merger, but it take a full effort, trac house has it going on that is the biggest surprise to me but still have a win in it for brad this year !!
Roush Racing overall has been a declining team. It was already in trouble when Brad got there. I believe if Jack loosens the reigns, and let Brad and rest of the organization do their thing, then we should start to see improvement.
I think Brad is going to play the long game with RFK. Remember, this will be his career post-retirement, to run this team. I think eventually he'll open an XFINITY car and truck in the Truck Series and rebuild the team from the ground up.
Honestly? I'm playing the long-game with this. I wasn't expecting a quick 180. I HOPE in 5-10 years RFK is more Stablized in getting Top 5s and Top 10s. My biggest reason is because I really want to see RFK in the Xfinity and Truck series. We need more Fords in the lower divisions and I would love to see a new lineup through RFK.
I am a Kes fan. That said, Brad is on the waning phase of his career, Also, by the looks of his jowls and stomach I would guess that he has gained at least 40 pounds during the off season. Even from the video shown above of him in the RFK shop where he looked like his normal self, then to see him at Daytona was a shock. He looked like a different person. That kind of weight gain can't be helping matters at all in the car. Buescher is a good driver. But not a great driver. He doesn't strike me as a serious playoff contender. The RF in RFK are both ageing and far beyond good decision making. In general, I think RFK is a product of the way NASCAR has been headed for a long time. Todays NASCAR is more about money and marketability then about raw talent like it used to be.
I believe if brad didn’t buy into rousch. That 2022 would had seen a one car team the 17. I believe the 6 would had shit down. And I still believe RFK will go to a 1 car team by 2030.
brad needs a clean race, no pitstop errors, no indicdents on track, cause there is some speed in that car, with a clean race anything is possible. so far every race there have been issues. they need to reboot and clean up these errors, clearly they need the stop making errors in the pitlane, u cant win if u keep taking stupid penalites, thats the start, then stay out o ftrouble wich he has not been able to do all year, very bad season for the team and for him personly IMO.
What do you think the future of RFK Racing looks like?
Not good things

Brad K has gone from being a top contender each week and winning races to running mid pack or back of the field. Such a shame from how dominant and strong Roush racing used to be.
Yep. I love brad and admire how much he loves the sport and it needs people like him to stick around as owners. Would love to see him run up front especially in his own equipment
Brad messed up
1 of 2 ways:
I expected ALOT more
The penalty really didn’t help, I’d have to agree
Brad got 100 points taken away, he gonna be down a lot.
Honestly, everything that could have went wrong for them has went wrong. As a huge Brad fan and someone who likes Chris, I hate it.
Same
Me too, but I think this is Brads way of staking longevity in the sport. I mean he's talking about top 15's as if they were top 5's lately so it seems as though he's adjusted his expectations.
I think this year is off the table for them, but next year I'm hoping to see at least one win from the team; either driver. Christ they need one.
As he should!!!
It’s gonna be a long one…
As a Hendrick Fan. Keep digging for Brad K and Roush.. they will get out of it. maybe a bad season. but they will learn a little more before the year is up and might get better going into late season into next. Penske seems to have a bigger backing from ford then Roush seems to have... so never give up hope!
Brad keslowski is to much of a deuchebag to succeed as an owner, Jack made a bad decision, in my opinion!!!
The replacement of Kurt with McMurray and Ragan instead of Martin started their downfall and having Bayne and Stenhouse solidified it
Well said. Kurt was a championship level driver, and Jamie Mac had one career win at the time of the change.
@@cameronchiesa1031 Wouldn’t be the last time Kurt got ousted for a non-proven driver in a top level team! I miss Kurt in the 41
@@seanmckean0727 Well said!!!
Kurt was ousted because he had soured the relationship with Roush. McMurray had nothing to do with the fall of Roush. lol
Long haul….I honestly think RFK will be ok. Brad succeeds at everything he does. It might be a 3-4 year overhaul but I am confident in him and what he will be able to accomplish. Just my opinion! 🤙🏻
The fact that Brad is 31st in points and guys like Todd Gilliand Harrison Burton Justin Haley and Michael McDowell are ahead of him is hilarious
Really?
That points penalty was like missing s couple races
The fact that without the penalty he’d be ahead of all them
He'd be 20th in points without the penalty
Yeah after a stupid fine 🤦♂️
I'm a big Buescher fan and I think for their equipment and how the trend of the team has been looking like so far, Buescher and Keselowski have been doing pretty well (besides the penalty) and I think by the end of the season, one of them will at least have a win.
I'm a huge Brad fan, & I am absolutely sad each week, watching Bad Brad struggling is rough 😢
I think the 6 needs a new crew chief. McCall is holding them back in my opinion.
I see validity in that statement.
It's not just the crew chief that needs to be removed, I feel it's time for Jack Roush to retire or he's going to run the team into the ground
Buescher's IMO has some untapped potential.
roush was going broke was the issue
@@ih0p72 just because drivers have sponsors doesn't mean q team is "profitable"
@@kadens True. Ironic that RFK has some of the worst performance with Roush-Yates engines compared to teams like Penske and even FRM to an extent.
But, one of the best teams right now ISN'T a 4 car team.......hmmmm. Trackhouse.
@@mattrzewnicki6343 That's why I said "generally". Plus their first year did not go so well right out the gate, but have made massive steps forward by expanding to a 2nd car, also same can be said for 23XI.
I feel part of the issue is shitty luck, they show potential and get in a wreck. The 17 has been competitive, but something screws him in the end
Zane Smith in his cup debut finished better than his own boss…
yeah idk what to say lol…
He did run the truck race the night before. Seat time at the given track is always helpful. Lol...
If a driver the caliber of BK can't fix it. It's not getting fixed
Didn’t age well. He won at Darlington in 2024
I met Chris Buescher at Charlotte before the Coke 600 race. He was super nice and humble. It bums me that he wrecked in the final stage of that race.. he was doing well. Just glad he was ok after the flip though. About everyone in the stands clapped and cheered when Chris got out of the car
When I First Heard About Brad Becoming A Driver And Team Owner I Felt Happy For Him But Now I'm Starting To Wish He Stayed In Penske's #2 Car

Its going to take some time.
I knew it was going to take some time. It will be a couple of years until we see how the team will go. RFK will start preformaning better by 2024.
makes you wonder about how good someone like Stenhouse actually is.

I’m a Brad fan, and I’m going to be a little biased, I know he hasn’t had the year but I do think it’s because he’s bad or washed, I think it’s like a new team new chemistry type deal and this next gen car isn’t helping so I think it’s just kind of getting the bearings right now and fight harder next season, I think this year is a building year
if Keselowski can't turn things around at RFK, that team is as good as dead.
I really thought that RFK Racing would do better with Keselowski then they are doing right now
Roush has performed worse this year compared to last year.
I know Buescher has a contract into next year but with Zane Smith running well in the 17 one has to wonder if a change could be made sooner?
I really didn’t expect to see much of anything from RFK
Brad is going to have to either get his head fully on the track to be a better driver or get his teams lined up properly from the side lines and get someone like Zane Smith from the lower series to take over the 6
Well ,have you noticed Brad and Harvick have been running about the same this year ? their usually about in the same track position nearly every race, don't Underestimate Keselowskis driving he's a Veteran with better driving skills than he's Shown this year GAURANTEED!
Bro I was literally thinking yesterday..
Iceberg RFK video
Chris Buescher is doing just fine. Especially considering he’s not in the best equipment.
Look at RFK's satellite team in Front Row Motorsports. McDowell has 5 top 10s so far;
more than both RFK drivers combined.
Flips rarely happen at 1.5 mile tracks like Charlotte. They are mostly common at plate tracks like Daytona and Talladega.
Brad K i say good chance getting a win somewhere in the last half of the year.
@@Dratchev241 Except Rick Ware racing winning a championship, that may be impossible lol.
RFK is the Williams of nascar. had their hay day. now they're just hanging on
I don't see Roush going back to the old glory days, but I know they can be better. It's just gonna take time. Admittedly, I was hoping we would see an SHR type situation with immediate success, but I know that's wishful thinking. I hope RFK can reclaim just a tiny bit of its former glory, but time will tell.
Give Brad enough time to clean house and get people doing things his way and you'll probably see major improvement
As a Roush fan this has been a painful season to watch, it'll be a long process but hopefully results can improve overtime. :(
So basically RFK is rebuilding a rebuild
I might be wrong, but I don't think Penske renewed his contract
I think this is more of big picture kind of thing for him, similar to Denny and 23XI and Tony Stewart and Stewart-Haas. Yes its not as good of a car as Penske, but he can try to elevate the team and it gives him a career as an owner once his driving days are done. Brad's in his late 30s and probably has 5-7 years left in the seat, and this gives him some security for when he retires. Is it the best choice, maybe not but I can't fault him for going for it and it's gonna be a few years before we can say for certain if it was good or bad.
1) Idk if they planned on Cindric joining Penske this season (maybe he goes to the 21?)
2) Brad didn't seem to want to be there anymore anyway with his feuds with Logano in recent years.
Then spingate happened and ruined everything lol
I think when Roush Racing was successful in the past Jack Roush was very hands on with running the team. With him getting older and less involved I don't know if I see rapid improvements coming. It has been a slow decline the last 20 or so years
Zane Smith's 17th place run makes me wonder will RFK or Front Row add a 3rd car for him. Before you ask were would charter come from and my answer is Rick Ware, the 15 doesn't have full sponsorship and one less Rick Ware car on the track the better.
Looks like Ryan Newman...wasn't the problem
Newman carried Roush til his Daytona crash. He was getting top 10s in 2019
Maybe that old adage of _three's a crowd_ could apply to RFK.
Roush wasn't really up front before Kes got there. I really think Kes is laying a very firm foundation for the future, they really haven't looked really bad at times they have been up in the top ten, but they are far from challenging for a win except maybe at a super speedway.
I think if SHR moves to Dodge it would help RFK a lot
Here after Chris Busecher won last night at Bristol lol
The full impact of Brad coming over to the team won't be truly felt until a few years and Brad gets guys that he wants in there. It is gonna take some time to fix the way the team has been run and the future of the team might not include Jack Roush if it wants to get better.
If I were Roush I would get Zane Smith as soon as possible in your cars. I’d also take a look at Carson Hocevar or Brett Moffitt as possible second car drivers once Brad retires
This shows that equipment IS the key.
Exactly what I expected and predicted
U think Nascar will be around in 5-10 years? 🤔 I don't
Rfk is probably going to be a tier three team like they've been dont see them improving
One thing I wanted to know is… why would keselowski leave Penske? He was producing wins there and then he left?
What's going on? Nothing different. Adding Brad hasn't done jack
They need to stay on this path and this time next I think we'll be singing a different tune about RFK
I think they'll be better next year. Itll take a little but that's to be expected. We will see them rise in a couple years just gotta be patient
They will be fine. Bad luck, growing pains, etc. if trackhouse can do it, they can too.
Man the will get it together no need to panic
Looks like Newmans terrible last year wasn’t his fault. The 6 car is junk.
My son has a Roush Mustang. Really fast. I'm not a Ford fan but this is a Mustang town.
brad needs a clean race, no pitstop errors, no indicdents on track, cause there is some speed in that car, with a clean race anything is possible. so far every race there have been issues. they need to reboot and clean up these errors, clearly they need the stop making errors in the pitlane, u cant win if u keep taking stupid penalites, thats the start, then stay out o ftrouble wich he has not been able to do all year, very bad season for the team and for him personly IMO.
