@9:04 was like "How does he know who that other miata belongs to-oh." When a vanity plate actually comes in handy. Seriously though this whole situation is heart wrenching. I'm safe from the fires, but i grew up in Altadena. It's haunting seeing so many places I knew and went to just, gone. Friends apartments, their childhood homes, also just ashes. Even the first place i ever worked burned down.
Horrible situation. I did see a little Porsche 914 Parked by Aldi. My guess is owner took chance parked it in middle of that lot and saved the car. Bless all the people affected and all the 1st responders that must be so stressful.

@@Para4es First of all, getting that close is just dangerous for yourself and others. No need to have hundreds of people blocking the roads more because they want to get close to a fire. Sure, if he gets good footage it may be justifiable, but he isn't the only one doing it. News channels usually get additional information and interviews from people in charge and on the ground. And news channels usually have faster update speeds, or are live, while those videos mainly come a few hours if not days after. I wouldn't call it better, just different from News reporting. But there is a difference between covering events and this sort of POV-Journalism with all those comments and thoughts. It is insightful to hear what a person thinks, but objectively it is not great journalism, as it does not add any important information. It's still worth a watch, because you see different footage, but keep in mind that it's heavily biased, as it is literally from the viewpoint and opinions of an individual. Also calling someone a hater is such a 12 yo thing to do :D
Good coverage, it's amazing how glass melts out of car windows, alloy wheels melt, engine blocks melt and plastic garbage cans are unaffected. Trees everywhere are not burned. This very much like the Lahaina fire.
Firefighters and First Responder's , Emergency Medical Technician ( Ambulance Responders) and any one else who is stopping the fires from spreading...... Thank You for your HARD AND DEDICATION to put OUT THESE FIRES. You should get PAY RAISE INCREASE. Thank You and stay SAFE.
First month on my local fire department I had to do a Liquid Propane prop. A jet of flame 12 foot high and so hot that it made my face tingle if I was even facing that direction. Was pretty interesting how you tackle one. Takes a lot of people and a lot of water. Now have a thousand or more of them at once all over the place. Insurmountable
Newsome’s policies are actually severely damaging California’s ecosystem. Also, these fires make extensive air pollution as well. He’s a joke, get rid of him ASAP. He’s crapping on all the celebrities that used to praise him. Those days are gone.
And anyone who's responsible for this mess, but knowing the people are California, they'll vote them back in or vote for the same party no matter what even if they turn on your betray you because they are better then the other party because the news media told me so, or vote someone who's just as worse if not even worse then the previous ones, so yeah

And if they were not there with Gavin on scene explaining some of the real issues, just think what people would be saying. Let them talk and see what is happening on the ground. I live here. Glad to see it. Hopefully it gives them perspective on how to handle things. And I would rather them discuss it on scene than zoom calls.
The reality is even the firefighters can't do anything but watch. This particular fire is very unique it appears to be mainly fanned by flying Embers fuelled by hurricane winds. Objects such as bursting into flames randomly
Reminds me of the Santiam fires here in Oregon about 4 years ago. Absolutely devastating. Prayers for Cali from Oregon 💛 I know Albany & Jefferson OR are sending some fire trucks and personnel down south to help. Stay safe out there brother mans
I'd like to know why literally no body is talking about where billions of tons of toxic waste and thousands of torched vehicles will be dumped. Where will the charred remnants of these fires end up? And what's going to be done to prevent mudslides/landslides when the rain comes?
Exactly. I went to pick up water here in Pasadena (only one allowed then ran out) and we have a tick layer of toxic sediment covering everything. Unless rain comes, the whole area will be living in a bowl of chemicals for months to come. And when I say covering everything, it really is.
@@infinidominiondo you think trees are going to grow back and help stabilize hills before it rains again? we can barely predict accurate weather 10 days ahead
This is so sad to see beautiful Los Angeles on fire and looking like a wasteland. Great coverage and video as always and its scary to think I'm 41miles away from the fires. Prayers to everyone who is affected by this crazy destruction
How exactly would a budget have stopped the winds? I'm from the area and you have no idea of the insanity. Homes were igniting everywhere in all directions because embers from the fire in the hills were carried long distances. The neighborhoods went up in a matter of hours. Not even enough time for many firemen to show up.
@RichardDeHaven maybe if they planned for wild fires like clearing the forest floor of dead debris. Or perhaps filling the water reservoirs. Cant imagine simping for newscum.
@@RichardDeHaven There are ways to prevent it like maybe remove some shrubbery that could easily ignite if left alone, hydrate the land by having running water flowing down the mountains and hills, build reservoirs and dams I'm areas, have forest patrols to make sure there's no suspicious activities going on up in those hills and so on, there's so much you can do, maybe not 100% prevent forest fires, but maybe try to lesson the damage and try not to let it spread or such, so yeah
As a car enthusiast, I have always loved visiting California for that reason. My heart is with you guys. Sad to see your property destroyed, including many collectors I know who lost theirs.
More water would have not stopped this inferno. You people just don't get it. The winds were extremely strong pushing the fire rapidly. The embers were carried far and wide. It started as a brush fire. Brush fires are normal in the hills behind Altadena but they have never come down so far into the city.
@@RichardDeHaven You people... Lady, my house is inside a wilderness area of thick coastal sage scrub in North San Diego. Fire has burned over my land twice. Only with a high-pressure water FSS, Firefighters, and foam I was able to save my home. More water allows more homeowners to put out more hotspots from the ember cast.
That's the way it always is. On 9/11 you'd think that there was a security perimeter around the Pentagon the afternoon after it was hit but no there wasn't.
I just went there on Friday, the 10th, to check on My Mom and Brother. All is well, as they are in North Pasadena. I drove around just at New York Drive, devastating! I grew up in Pasadena, been through numerous Angeles Forest Fires from the 70's and 80's, never seen this much destruction and the magnitude of the Santa Ana Winds was never imagined to be this strong.

Grand stands from the Rose Bowl parade. As a resident of Los Angeles for over 60 years,, I know the area well. Before the fire it was a nice little community. It will NEVER recover. Most people do not have the funds and the insurance companies will not pay out.
May the Lord watch over everyone during this time. A heartfelt thank you to the brave firefighters risking their lives to protect others. Lord, we turn to You-only You can bring this to an end. We pray for rain to help extinguish this inferno.
This is something people don’t understand. If truly bad things pop off, nobody is coming to save you. The idea that police and fire are going to show up to save the day is an illusion.

Hey Mr. Eff. Great video documenting this disaster! Great job! Thanks. I live just north of the former-Lahaina Town. In LA there, millions of people will be shocked. Those who lost everything will be in shock! I’m talking brought down a few notches in empowerment, confidence, certainty! A mass wave of depression in the whole area. People feeling their vulnerability. All this will change people there. It just won’t be good, how all of this will be expressed!! Keep ur head and heart on a swivel folks.

Blame Newsom for the lack of budget and resources for this disaster. He is responsible.
Trump is fanning that fiction
@@RichardDeHaven There are ways to prevent it like maybe remove some shrubbery that could easily ignite if left alone, hydrate the land by having running water flowing down the mountains and hills, build reservoirs and dams I'm areas, have forest patrols to make sure there's no suspicious activities going on up in those hills and so on, there's so much you can do, maybe not 100% prevent forest fires, but maybe try to lesson the damage and try not to let it spread or such, so yeah
And for DEI firefighters, and for no water, and for lafd fire prevention budget cuts

More water would have not stopped this inferno. You people just don't get it. The winds were extremely strong pushing the fire rapidly. The embers were carried far and wide. Your video really shows the scale of damage vs the news media. I can’t believe it. Can’t imagine a whole city burnt to the ground.
Hard to understand how the fires spread even with the distance in between roads and those buildings are made from brick and mortar.
Embers can fly for miles, and when they land, they start fires. Especially when they land on dry vegetation, palm fronds, etc.
the fire spreads due to ember and wind but mainly heavy wind is what causes the spread
At high temperatures even Brick and Mortar start to disintegrate.
