⚠️ 🔥 The EVIL mayor,, politicians, governor and their DEI APPOINTEES are directly responsible for the *TRAGEDY* currently occurring!!
      1. The massive cuts in public safety (especially the FD!) in the past few years. CRITICAL equipment, from firefighting to reliable communications... is not replaced or upgraded. Manpower is far lower than necessary.
      2. Fire *PREVENTION* has been practically eliminated. Dry brush & leaves, dead trees (fallen & standing) & similar fuel is not permitted to be removed or touched!! PB's (preventive burns & fire breaks) were excellent tactics and used for 100+ YEARS. The Democrats and "environmentalists" are FRAUDS. They claim this causes carbon emissions. What do you think results in more carbon release? Tiny areas carefully cleared OR the current CONFLAGRATION??!?
      3. Water😢.... WATER!! To "protect" a small number of NON-Endangered fish, a HUGE amount of water normally routed to the South, especially LA, is diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Another reason never discussed in public = the hobos, violent mentally ill, junkies and a small number of normal people and veterans currently living in spillways normally used to bolster our water supply, are kept DRY for public relations purposes.
They claim to care about the "unhoused" yet do ZERO to truly help. They are fine with these people living in virtual sewers. as long as it’s not publicly visible, it doesn’t exist to them..
      - DEI Appointmens and Incident Command MANIPULATION...
I currently"vacationing" in sunny Los Angeles, so I really shouldn't speak or comment openly.
My LA Brother.s comment on this. I think *EVERYONE* knows exactly what I mean. And... Listen to the ongoing radio communications. HINT = When field Captains and Officers are openly questioning and even defying orders from Command to abandon critical ongoing LIFE SAVING operations to divert and protect "special" PROPERTIES!!
Not only are most of the DEI types incompetent, they are allowing POLITICIANS to direct and manipulate operations.
I guess they have to protect their buddies and contributors $$.
Last item (there are dozens more, but I'm too exhausted to continue) - There is ongoing LOOTING of people's HOMES! In order to avoid appearing to support law enforcement, there is pressure not to arrest people stealing and damaging the homes and property of decent and hard-working people. there are also gangs of people who are thwarting firefighters and operations and helping themselves to equipment that is critical and currently impossible to replace.
In 27+ years as a firefighter/paramedic, lieutenant, captain and battalion chief / USAR lead, I have never seen the level of incompetence and potential corruption in government and public safety top leadership.
I have had tears in my eyes for days and the acrid smoke is NOT why I am so sad and ANGRY.
Please Stay Safe and remember... Your LIFE cannot be replaced but physical property generally can.
      😢

You typically shut off gas at each house. If you shut off gas to a general area, gas company has to verify all gas service is shutoff before restating service one house or business at a time. Causing an area ga outage takes a lot more time and manpower to restore.

Those who lost everything will be in shock! I’m talking brought down a few notches in empowerment, confidence, certainty! A mass wave of depression in the whole area. @@Para4es First of all, getting that close is just dangerous for yourself and others. No need to have hundreds of people blocking the roads more because they want to get close to a fire. Sure, if he gets good footage it may be justifiable, but he isn't the only one doing it. News channels usually get additional information and interviews from people in charge and on the ground. And news channels usually have faster update speeds, or are live, while those videos mainly come a few hours if not days after.
I wouldn't call it better, just different from News reporting.
But there is a difference between covering events and this sort of POV-Journalism with all those comments and thoughts. It is insightful to hear what a person thinks, but objectively it is not great journalism, as it does not add any important information. It's still worth a watch, because you see different footage, but keep in mind that it's heavily biased, as it is literally from the viewpoint and opinions of an individual.

Great coverage brother, thank you for taking the risk to show us what's happening on the ground. I'm not from California, but I'm a little floored over the firetrucks pulling up for a Governor's photo-op, then leaving an actively spreading fire. I really do hope some of these "leaders" are held accountable, because it seems like the emergency personnel are working overtime. Stay safe and keep up the awesome content Gordon!

The leaders can only do what the TAXPAYERS will PAY for, when they keep voting down budgets for more fire fighters, police, more resources, then this is the result

Grand stands from the Rose Bowl parade. As a resident of Los Angeles for over 60 years,, I know the area well. Before the fire it was a nice little community. It will NEVER recover. Most people do not have the funds and the insurance companies will not pay out.

Half a car's weight is made of things that burn like plastic, rubber, and fabric. And metals have different melting points. Aluminum parts will melt first due to having a lower melting point than glass. Glass melts at a lower temp than the melting point of steel...
