The original song has been edited/remixed to have a similar sound to the album 'Bleach'
In terms of song choice, I just felt like trying a song besides the normal Metallica reworks. I just want to say that there are a few other Nirvana reworks similar to this one, however I felt that their mixes could be improved, so here is my take on the 'Bleach' sound.

Everyone knows “Drain You” was the opener for Metallica’s black album. 🙄
This is the version I was looking for.
I remember being a 13 year old boy, listening to this song on my cassette tape that I recorded it off of the radio with. I would always keep that tape in there and ready to record, just incase I heard a song I loved and I could record it (we were poor and I couldn’t afford CDs lol). I would lay in my bed and just fantasize being a rockstar like Kurt and just pretend in my head that I could make magic like this. Long time ago man. But Nirvana definitely was the band that made me want to be a musician. I’m 33 now and I sure as shit can play guitar, but I obviously have to hold a job and support children. But every time I hear this song, I get flashbacks of being a little tween in school and my fantasies of stardom every night. God I loved and still love this song.

I'm 15 and now listening to nirvana song with spotify and also having a dream to be a huge musician (atleast in my country). And it's always morbidly cool to realize that lots of people from the past experienced the same thing as me just with different era and technology. But still listening to the same music
My dad also used to be a nirvana fan and like to name the song from them that i play in my room. It probably give him a little de javu considering that he used to listened to them around the same age as mine

i’m glad to share this feeling with someone else. being young still gives me a lot of motivation, but i know how unrealistic and far away it is to become a musician like kurt. i see it as a escape but more as a dream obviously. another one of my brushed aside ambitions.

I just love Bleach versions of Nevermind songs. I have to admit that nevermind riffs and rythms are more complex that bleach ones, but the tone of bleach is just something unbelievable
Love your work (especially on the voice - I love Kurt's vocal mix on Bleach), even though the songwriting to me makes this song an impossible fit to Bleach.

Considering the fact it’s already tuned to D, I don’t think they would have made it any lower. Sure, blew was low as hell, but that’s really the only one, and it was a mistake because they forgot they already turned down. A good deal of the other songs are in E standard.

I would recommend raising the original pitch by 1 half step instead of lowering it 1 half step, as the song is already played in D standard tuning and that's the lowest the band has ever gone in the studio iirc. I find it very unrealistic of them to tune all the way down to c# tuning. Them recording this song in Eb or E Standard would make much more sense for the Bleach era.
You should do smells like teen spirit, something that actually sounds grungy and almost like the demo.
