I found this ep in cash converters... bought it for 1 dollar... gave it to my best mate for his 18th birthday.... we are now 38.. we play it every year
first version i heard of aneurysm and it was me absolute fav. I eventually heard the incesticide version and i did not like it at all. I’ve grown to like it a bit more over the years but nothing would ever beat this version.
When I was in 8th grade Jr high (1996 or 7?) I had the local music shop (Dr. Rocks) special order this gem for me on CD. It was a 70dollar special order disc, I managed to pay for with my own money (alot of dough for a kid back then) the booklet was written in all Japanese. It only had 6 songs. I already had every north America album available. I needed these 2 songs. I paid to hear D7 and Even In His Youth. I'll never forget being a trouble teen and the absolute sincere level of joy I got hearing these two songs for the first time. Panasonic CD walkman 3 second skip protection for the win. Hahahaha.
Lol. I just commented the same thing. Except I had already heard even in his youth I think it was on the Smells Like Teen Spirit single or something. I was a super fan I would pay big money for the single CDs just to here an extra song on that I never heard before. Like Marigold, moist vagina and there's a couple other ones
Even in His Youth is such an amazing song. It was really the second song I ever heard by Nirvana since it was the B-Side on the Smells Like Teen Spirit single tape cassette. I heard it before anything else on Nevermind. Smells Like Teen Spirit was so 'new' and fresh, I was really curious what the band was all about and Even in His Youth filled out my opinions before other more common songs like Come As You Are or In Bloom had a chance to.
Had this on Tape, left in a mates Torana never saw it again! I couldn't find it on CD back in '92 The Festival Hall concert was dope, from my recollection I was 16 back then👍
This EP was originally released in Australia and Japan on January 27, 1992, to promote their tour there. The EP was limited to 5,000 copies, but has since been repressed in limited quantities. It includes two B-sides from the Nevermind era and four covers that were later included on the 1992 rarities compilation Incesticide.
im a teen right now but both of my parents are musicians who were part of the underground scene in the 90s so I'm lucky to have been exposed to good music like this from a young age.
@@calebkendrick5286 yeah nirvana seemed to really like the Vaseline’s, they performed Jesus doesn’t want me for a sunbeam and Mollys lips so many times
D7 is the Wipers Turnaround is Devo.. Only 1/3 of the EP is original songs edit: I just realized that the only two original tracks had Copy write listings at the end of the info
I remember paying like 65 bucks or something crazy for this CD when I was a teenager just to hear this one song D7 cuz it was the only one I never heard before
Dunno about the extra band tags, w/out even mentioning one of their Biggest Influences... D~7 is Portland's WIPERS/ Greg Sage! Wipers= 1/3 of their sound. The other 2/3 being Pixies & Sonic Youth. TRUTH. Maybe a dash of Celtic Frost according to Kurt too.... sayin'.
I'm gonna say happy birthday Kurt here because its cool... As the years go by and as horrible as it sounds I don't think Kurt would have enjoyed it here now. Francis obviously needed a father in more ways than one but we live and learn, oh, hangon we live and die.
I got the first CD when they came and done the aus tour first release CD mint condition then they came out with a another release in 2012 was it? Mine was from 1992 I lent it to my old guitar teacher I won it in a eBay bid 69 bids got it for 330 dollars would it be worth more today?

THIS VERSION OF ANEURYSM IS DIFFERENT AND DARE I SAY IT BETTER??!!
Nirvana sounded fucking great raw

Not better or worse... just different.
@@raena_emerituscobain Para mí todas las versiones que hace Nirvana sobre este tema son buenas.

I love you're mind. 😮
I too got my first Hormoaning around 7th-8th grade.... At the time was considered rare
$70 for a six-song EP in 1996 is ridiculous. Was it sold by Sam Goody?

My brother had it, too.
The sound that defined Rock in the past thirty years and the best ep ever made.
i love how they can take songs (even their own songs) and cover/remaster them to give them a completely original and fresh sound
Hormoaning, a true gem

When people ask what makes Nirvana so special. This this is the answer.

How lucky were all nirvana's fans who've listened their songs that time , but I am listening right now , 2018 , anyone else ?

2023...
I've never realized how much Molly's Lips sounds like it could have been a Jawbreaker song.. So many of their songs off of 24 Hour sound like this
molly's lips isn't a nirvana song anyways, its a cover. Its by a scottish band called the vaselines

I'm a huge Nirvana fan at 59 yrs old and never knew this gem existed. Fuck yeah!
Merveilleux cher ami.Vous devez être supers heureux de l 'Australie!!!
best ep
Thank you for sharing this EP
definitely. it's an awesome, yet overlooked album. it's rate b sides and what not, but definitely worth the nirvana name. amazing.
Good rock. It definitely jams.
Turnaround is massively underrated. Up thee with Sifitng, Negative Creep and Floyd the Barber.

When recorded music was scarce
I never knew it existed... Why haven't they released this!???0

Got mine back in 96 at a local Record & Tape Traders
Was not aware of the wipers cover. Goes hard
Venha como você e e nos!!!!
thanks for sharing...
If you think you like this, just listen to some No Means No, for example Rags 'N Bones. It seems like Nirvana got a big NMN influence.
Keep this form
For your proof
I've got nothing left to prove

HOW IN THE WORLD was Even in His Youth not on Nevermind?!?!?
Great song
I literally bought the BLEACH cd in Aberdeen. I made my parents stop at the record store on the way home from a camping trip to the ocean.
In like 1991
Son of a gun sounds like a green say song
