Every 11-11 I stand for the service and cry, I cannot help it.
I cry for those lost, those who never got to live out their lives, grow old, and fall in love.
I cry for those left behind who have to live out the rest of their lives knowing their loved ones gave the greatest sacrifice for the good of the many.
I cry for those still alive and continue to live out the battle each day of their lives and I cry for those who could not live with that battle and left us all too soon.
May we never forget and may we always give thanks every day for our lives we have now all due to these wonderful women and men and may none of us ever have to endure what they did and still do.

As a Canadian abroad in the UK its lovely to see our nations really as one. Our heritage, our traditions, our politics, our King. I know any Canadian would be as welcome as I am here. And I know we shall treat out British brothers identically. I hope we come closer as one people under one crown.

Rememberance Day is a time to remember our grandmas and grandpas. I sure wish they were around still. If you got some, keep them close. Happy Rememberance Day! I don't think it was about remembering any war. Best to forget. But about remembering them.

I watched the Remembrance day service in 2000 or 2001 which was the first year that Canada had a tomb of the unknown soldier. After the ceremony, people came to the tomb and spontaneously placed their poppies on the tomb. People made this gesture organically without being told and it has been done every year since.

42:35 The end of the riffle barrel on top of your boot, starts to be uncomfortable like you would not believe after 30s, you cant put alot of weight of your hands and arms on gun stock etc, "Hope someone gave them a heads up on that" unlike cadre-officer, I had 40y ago, who forgot to mentor that :) its a skill and privilege to be able to do that for over 30min!

One morning a boy arrives at school with a new popular toy. The rich school yard bully decides that this ”low life” boy does not deserve to have this toy so he tries to grab it from him. A fight breaks out and the bully is badly beaten. So the bully leaves, licking his wounds. However, he does not want to accept this defeat and calls his buddies. A few days later ten 10 if them attack the boy. The boy initially fends them off by getting few punches in but eventually the ten to one ratio is just too much to sustain his defense. The bullies win the schoolyard fight but they are not satisfied with that, they also want him to say “I surrender, you are my master”, which he refuses. In order to get him to submit they grab his sister in kindergarten and start to torture her….. THAT my friend explains the South African War and that is why the South African War should not be included in the Remembrance day services. Especially considering the key role Canadian militias played in the ‘torturing of the kindergarten sister” part. An act considered today as one of the biggest atrocities of the British empire.

More useful there than eating my hard earned tax dollars.
Another good reason to stop funding the CBC.

😂I have no healthcare and can't afford a Lawyer to see the Accountability I'm owed for having my life destroyed by Provincial corruption, and I'm the bad guy until I pull out my phone for my antagonists to admit as much for the record. You remember?😂You remember who you serve, your paymasters. Oh, good Christian soldiers. What a joke.
