Other than "Scream", my favorites from HSM 3 gotta be "A Night to Remember" and "Now or Never". Oh man can't believe I almost forgot about "Can I Have This Dance" 😅
I saw this film in the cinema. They had released the soundtrack before and I listened to it obsessively. I was in high school when the film came out and it was me and my mum surrounded by like 5/6 year olds. I was mouthing along to all the songs and a group of kids saw and I could hear them whispering wondering how I knew the songs! Such good memories of this film xDD
Your second guess was correct; "do I do basketball or do I pursue music?" A Julliard scholorship was on the line in this movie with several of the characters competing for the spot. They're still in high school (HSM3 was their graduating year). I'd recommend I Want It All, also from HSM3
HSM3 just also had an all around bigger budget so some of the set pieces are just amazing. One that comes to mind is I Want It All. That’s a fun number. As for another Zac song to check out out of the HSM universe, Other Side and Rewrite the Stars from Greatest Showman would be an excellent reaction.... also Greatest Show.
So happy you reacted to this! This has got to be my fave song from all the 3 movies 👌🏻😊 HSM3 was the only one to be released in the Cinema, the previous 2 were TV releases. So, that probably explains the higher budget 😊
BTW the whole rotating room thing is a really old trick, it was used in the movie Royal Wedding so that it looked like Fred Astaire was dancing on the ceiling (that was in 1951)
HSM3 came out 2 years before inception, and in the 3rd movie Juilliard is offering a scholarship and 4 of them are up to it (he's one of those 4) and only one could get it and the female lead got into Standford honors early program so she left and he's basically torn between what he wants and what should he choose to go after, specially that his father and best friend expect him to go after basketball
If you're going to react to HSM movies alternately, maybe you could react to similar character songs. For example: HSM 1: What I've Been Looking For (Ryan and Sharpay) or Bop to the Top HSM 2: Fabulous HSM 3: I Want It All
I'll never forget how excited I got in the theatre with my grandma when I heard HSM doing a metal/rock song, also the only movie in the trilogy to have a movie theatre release. This one song just fit with what I normally listen to and it just carries such an unforgettable memory with my grandma. Love you always mama, over a decade later and I still carry our love for HSM.
I’ve seen a movie made in 1951 that used a spinning room like that. It didn’t spin as fast but it was there. They used it to make Fred Astaire dance on the walls and ceiling because he was so in love.
With how many times I’ve watched this movie over the years I just now noticed the Bolton jersey with 21 which presumably was Troys Dads Number when he played basketball because 14 is Troys And if you think about the conflict in this song in particular gabby has left early for Harvard I believe I’m remembering correctly and Troy has had for years this plan with his dads and Chads vision of college basketball going pro basically but Troy feels like Music might als be good for him to persu but he doesn’t want to disappoint anyone
I used to listen to all these songs on my CD Walkman in the car and I still have every word memorized 15 years later. Thanks for the reaction and bringing back fond memories!
I'm just saying that Christopher Nolan had a daughter in the HSM target age. I'm just saying HSM came out two years before Inception. I'm just saying...
If you want to see another fun Zac Efron musical performance, check out the song Ladies Choice from the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical version of Hairspray. Hairspray was originally a movie comedy. The Tony Award winning musical came later, and then the film of the musical. Ladies Choice was an original song for the movie, sung by Zac. The lead character is played by Nikki Blonsky, who is leading the dancing. EDIT: The ZacEfronVEVO channel has a video that concentrates on his Ladies Choice vocals and is probably the one you would want to react to. However you may also want to react to a video clip from the movie itself that includes some added dialogue and moments that put the dance setting in more context because the storyline takes place in the 60's.
Please please please react to High School Musical 3 - A Night To Remember! They kill it!!!! Also a great video to watch would be "High School Musical 3 - Cast Goodbyes" th-cam.com/video/KuqFkpz6JOU/w-d-xo.html it really shows just how much of an impact this movie really had on the cast.
Other than "Scream", my favorites from HSM 3 gotta be "A Night to Remember" and "Now or Never". Oh man can't believe I almost forgot about "Can I Have This Dance" 😅
I favourite is Scream. Then Right Here Right Now. Then Can I Have This Dance

My aunt took me and a group of the big kids she was babysitting at the time to go see it in theaters

Too bad dproduction was rushed. So everything felt less full and completed.

I hope you react to I Want It All. I really think you would love the sets in that number.
You need to watch Can I Have This Dance from HSM 3! One of the best songs from Zack + Vanessa

I love the thumbnail lmaooo, yeah this song is pretty amusing to me, it was so cool to see the hallway effects on the big screen!

I still think you should watch all 3 movies. It would be a awesome treat for patreons!
This movie came out in theatres on my 8th birthday and I went to see it and it’s still my favorite hsm film
Can’t wait for your next HSM reaction!
I used to listen to all these songs on my CD Walkman in the car and I still have every word memorized 15 years later. Thanks for the reaction and bringing back fond memories!

You got what the song was about completely correct 🥳

React to “gotta go my own way” HSM2
The choreography reminds me of Dirty Dancing, Patrick Swayze all around
Can you react to "work this out" from HSM2 because ill love the choreo in this one :-)
Just watch the movies, they’re fun 😂
Hahahaha you thought you wouldnt like it huh???
If you want a pretty dance, Can I Have This Dance from HSM3 has some beautiful choreography.
You should do a reaction to rocky horror
Please please please react to High School Musical 3 - A Night To Remember! They kill it!!!! Also a great video to watch would be "High School Musical 3 - Cast Goodbyes" th-cam.com/video/KuqFkpz6JOU/w-d-xo.html it really shows just how much of an impact this movie really had on the cast.
