catching california delta redear sunfish in the middle of fall

I decided to put the bass rods away and pick up my light gear to go searching for some elusive redear sunfish. I fished after a cold front so the bites were inconsistent but I still had a great time out there!

I don’t hate it but I guess it comes with a bit of common sense. Light line into a weed bed is never a good idea haha.. I’m just glad my line didn’t get cut in the process.
